Apppearance

As someone brought up in Silvermoon, aesthetics play a large role in Aenarins tastes in all things, including clothing. He will almost always be wearing an elaborate robe, thick for the warmth it provides and heavily embellished for the appearance. When necessary, he will also wear gloves and a cloak, both matching in style to the robes. Under the robes, however, Aenarin wears a simple pair of pants and boots, and tunic, all of which he knows (or, at least, hopes) will not be seen often. As an amateur tailor, most of these clothes are designed and created by himself.

Aenarin is incredibly pale due to spending very little time in the sun.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Although sometimes he may try to put on a confident front, Aenarin is very unsure of himself and suspicious of the intentions of those around him. His is a non-confrontational personality, and more than anything, he hates it when people fight and get hurt doing so. Even so, he will do his best to mend the harm created by such fights – if he can. This stems from his desire to help people, which he believes is one of the greatest and most noble things that can be done.

There are few things Aenarin is proud of, but one of those is Silvermoon, a city he fell in love with during his very early life. He would defend the city with his life, if need be, believing it to be the epitome of culture, style, fashion, grace, architecture and beauty.

Having had only a mother to raise him, Aenarin tends toward a more feminine approach to life, which sometimes leads to ridicule from others. As a result, he does not often get along with others, and to resolve this issue, he became an introvert, making books, research and study his friends instead. However, this led to an insatiable thirst for further knowledge, and as a result, Aenarin is curious to a fault, often taking it to the level of eavesdropping. This is not something he is proud of, though, and often feels ashamed for having done such things.

As a result of Aenarin's introversion, he has become poor with social interactions, and can often make a mess if he's not watching his words.

History

Aenarin was born to middle class parents in Silvermoon. His father disappeared not long after his birth, and as a result of that loss, he and his mother formed a close bond, becoming fiercely protective of and dependant on one another. During his childhood, Aenarin toyed with magic under the tutelage of his mother, who was an accomplished mage herself. However, despite his mother's perseverance, Aenarin was never very good with magic, often muddling even the simplest of spells. More than once, the woven tapestries of his home had been set alight by a spell that had backfired.

This went on for many years, and although Aenarin did make some progress in the area of magic, he never truly understood its heart, and as such, he focused most of his attention on studying maps, history, and personalities. He also studied magical theory, but it did little to aid the practice. With the destruction of the Sunwell, thoughts of his magical ineptitude blew away like dust in the wind. Aenarin could no longer use magic at all. But he had been powerful enough with it to be able to feel the loss.

Unlike most of his brethren, Aenarin found it difficult to deal with the arcane addiction, making him both physically and mentally weaker. When injured or overexerted, he may sometimes come close to succumbing to the addiction and becoming one of the Wretched – however, this fate has been avoided by his perseverance and desire to continue living. His mother was likewise affected by the addiction, if not worse, and so he made a promise to her that he would find a way to cure it and save her, no matter the cost to himself.

With the restoration of the Sunwell, however, this has become mostly unnecessary as both of them are recovering, albeit rather slowly. Even so, Aenarin persevered, afraid that it might not be enough, travelling across Azeroth to find help. And despite the return of the Sunwell, he found that he had no grasp on magic as he once did. He has given in to the fact that it may be an ability lost to him forever.

His adventures brought him a long way from home, and after some time, he found he had developed a taste for that lifestyle. Even after returning home and ensuring his mother's wellbeing, he set out once more, both excited and apprehensive of what he might find in his travels.
