Personality

Alignment: Lawful Good

Aebi is, at her best, a sweet and caring woman, always looking out for the well being of both friends and strangers alike. Even before becoming a Paladin, Aebi has always had a fierce commitment to justice and the execution of evil men and beast alike. Aebi rarely carries any large amounts of gold on hand, if ever, as she usually donates any 'spare' change she has to local charities or just any needy person she finds. Though she prefers more to end problems without violence, she has long become used to using a sword instead of words, and doesn't think much else once someone gets violent themselves. She often looks back on her father's teachings, and is often quoting him for a sense of guidence.

At her worst, Aebi is overly-serious, cold hearted, and hellbent on retribution, whatever the cost. Despite claims against it, Aebi has yet to fully move past her father's death, and sometimes loses focus as she drifts off in thought. As a friend, she is both loyal and kind, but as an enemy goes, she is eager to deliver swift and merciless death. While she always tries to maintain an understanding and open mind, she does bear a deep hate for Undead in all forms, and members of the Horde are often seen negitively by her, with Blood Elves getting the worst for their 'betrayal'.

History

Aebi was the first, and in fact only, child to a pair of Dwarves living in Ironforge. Raised mostly by her father, her mother working often in a local bakery, Aebi spent much of her youth listening to old war stories and sometimes 'playing' with her father's sword. She was still just a child when the Orcs began their invasion, and the First War kicked off. With her father rushing off to distant battlefields, to drive the invaders back, Aebi was left at home with her mother, and often helped out around the bakery. Doing her best to keep her mind off her father and the war, Aebi began driving herself to set goals while baking, and soon found she had a knack for the work. While she often received letters from her father on the front line, it would not be until the end of the Second War that father and daughter would be reunited. Between her father's war stories, tales of battle and Orcish beserkers, and her time spent at the local Church, Aebi decided to follow her father in his work with the Silver Hand, and began training under him as a squire.

Between combat drills, armour maintenance tests, and endurance building, Aebi found being a squire to be a rather hellish challenge, one she was hell-bent to live up to. While still a squire, both Aebi and her father got wind of the Orcs making an escape from their camps, and decided to redouble their efforts, to ensure they were both ready should they return to wage further wars. Spending much of their time from home, traveling between settlements and helping out with troublesome bandits and beasties, Aebi often found herself supporting her father in small conflicts. While she lacked the massive greatsword he used, she did often two-hand her own, albeit smaller, long sword, in an attempt to imitate him. As the years, and Kobolds, began to pass away, Aebi began to better grasp what would later be paladinhood, and was able to at least flicker out a healing spell, sometimes even a judgement. Within another year, she had finally completed her training, and her father decidedly titled her a paladin.

The Third War. While Aebi would rather it had never come, both her and her father had seen it coming since the Orcs escaped from their camps. Following the Silver Hand to the front lines, Aebi and her father squared off more than once with a few Orcs, though her father often did most of the work. As the war progressed, Aebi found herself increasingly troubled by the horrors that war brought, and was often tested in her resolve to keep moving forward. While she wouldn't know it yet, the Plague uprising in distant areas, calling many of her 'kind' to battle, would impact her harder than she'd ever thought possible. Facing down Undead after Undead alongside her father, Aebi found her abilities as a paladin being pushed to their limits, and struggled to keep up with her far more experienced father. When the Siege on Stratholme caused the Silver Hand to be disbanded, Uther's refusal to lay waste to 'innocent' people, Aebi and her father found themselves cut off and separated from the main task force.

Low on supplies, alone in Undead infested lands, Aebi and her father were forced to violently fight their way through a seemingly endless number of Ghouls and Zombies. After days of constantly fending off Undead attacks, with little in the way of usable food and water, the two of them began to question if they'd even survive. Grimly, her father decided it best to make a final stand atop a nearby hill, and slay as many Undead as they could before their endless numbers overwhelmed them both. Terrified, and with good reason, Aebi watched as distant hordes of Undead began to mass, under the command of multiple Necromancers. Assured they wouldn't last even an hour, the two made for one final hug, and then began hacking into the hordes as they rushed up the hillside. Barely even denting their number, Aebi had already begun to tire, and knew she wouldn't last much longer. Her father fell to the floor, and she watched in utter horror as he was quickly torn apart by a swarm of Ghouls.

While short-lived, her enraged state put her a step above the Undead around her, and she quickly dismembered many of them. Sadly, a blow struck her down, and sent her to fall to the ground. She awoke hours later, dazed and confused, inside of a white tent. Though she had been spared any grave injuries, and death for that matter, her father had obviously not been so lucky. A group of Paladins, left over after the Silver Hand fell, managed to happen upon them in time save her, but failed to push through the rank and file Undead quickly enough to save both. While her time in the war had been shortlived, the combination of the Silver Hand being disbanded, her father hacked apart before her, and her failure to prevent any of it at all, had cast the woman into a depression.

Making her return to Ironforge, to her home, Aebi keep to herself and quietly mourned the death of her father, and of the Silver Hand. When she caught word that the 'Elves' had betrayed the Alliance, and rushed off to serve some demonic force, Aebi was outraged. When her father's greatsword was finally found and returned to their home, Aebi took it as a sign to not give up just yet, and returned to 'active duty' with it in hand. Without the Order to guide her, Aebi began simply wandering around the lands, trying to help with any local problems she could. Between bandits, Kobolds, Gnolls, and other troublesome blights on the world, Aebi had little in the way of free time, most of it devoted to being a paladin.

Years later, with the Lich King dead and the Undead broken as a serious enemy on the world, Aebi began to seriously question her own place in the world. While still mourning over her father, she decided to just turn a smile, and continue with her work.
