This mace is old and has visibly been repaired numerous times, with decreasing succes, over the years. The heavy hammerhead has been known to break off.

Other: Though it is normally hidden under a layer of cloth and metal, a rather large burn wound rests upon the man's chest. It is the memento of his unfortunate encounter with a witch.

Personality

Adelbrecht is a man obsessed with becoming stronger and better than everyone else. He is very insecure about his strength and still sees himself as weak or puny and is willing to try anything to make himself even stronger than he already is.

Adelbrecht abhors weakness in all it's forms and as such has nothing but utter contempt for himself and other puny creatures of the Alliance. He looks up to and respects the races of the Horde as a worthy competitor and strives to beat even a tauren or orc when it comes to a display of strength.

Due to his highly competitive nature, Adelbrecht will often try to beat someone in the silliest of things, a trait which originates from his childhood. Every activity he sees someone do can become a challenge for him to do it better. If he actually succeeds in beating his 'challenger', rest assured that he will make them aware of the fact. Losing such a challenge is a source of great frustration for the strongman.

History

Adelbrecht Schneider was born as the only son to Otto and Anna Schneider in the relatively quiet village of Ambermill. While his father worked at the lumber mill, his mother sat at home and taught the boy as he grew up. She cared for the child and did her best to protect him for the horrors of the world while she could. Anna taught the boy about the Light and helping others, teachings which the young Adelbrecht would learn to appreciate more and more over time.

Adelbrecht was fairly small as a child, in fact he was the smallest child in the entire village. This particular shortcoming made him the target of much bullying from the older and bigger children. Despite his mother's positive reassurance, all this bullying made the young boy very insecure about himself. In an attempt to prove to himself that he was better than the other children, and not as weak and frail as they claimed him to be, he would often try to beat the others at whatever game they happened to be playing at the time.

Due to his lack of any real physical and mental capabilities that exceeded that of his peers however, he was unsuccessful in every attempt. Frustrated that the boy didn't get the gratification of winning that he so desperately craved, he started making up his own games so that he might finally experience what it was like to actually win something in his lifetime. These challenges were often won only in his mind and on rare occasions would he choose to share this "victory" with others. He was satisfied however with the gratification he received from his "victories".

As a young adolescent and now devoted follower of the Light, Adelbrecht had sworn himself to the path of the Paladin, so that he may protect the other members of the Kingdom from the assault of the Horde. Serving as a squire under the guidance of Sir Roland Riverwell, Adelbrecht got to see plenty of action even though he barely participated. The man still harbors a slight envy towards those that did get to participate, even though he himself was too young.

By the time the Third War knocked on the doorstep of the Kingdom, Adelbrecht was already a an ordained Knight of the Silver Hand. His musculature had already started to develop well though it was little above average. Adelbrecht fought with great zeal and conviction against the undead onslaught as it ravaged through the lands of his Kingdom, suffering many wounds in the process. Despite all of his, and his brethren's, best efforts however he was forced to flee from the lands that he once called home with great regret.

It was in the lands of the rebuild Kingdom of Stormwind that Adelbrecht made his new home and swore to protect it from whatever evil might threaten it. One such evil just happened to be a witch. She was an older woman with graying hair, well trained in the dark arts of warlock magic. Adelbrecht found the woman in the outskirts of Duskwood, having just summoned a demon to her side. He was convinced that he could beat the woman with the Light at his side.

He was however proved wrong quickly enough. He proved to be no match at all from the older, more experienced witch. Their battle was already over before it had begun and Adelbrecht was left in the woods as a broken man, burned and heavily injured from the warlock's dark spells. Through sheer power of will he managed to barely survive the encounter and was eventually rescued.

The damage had been done though. In the weeks of rehabitation that followed, Adelbrecht was unable to see himself as the strong paladin he once was and his eyes rested only the image of the frail little boy that was unable to accomplish anything. He considered himself unworthy of his holy powers, convinced that he was too weak to put them to proper use and quickly lost them. Now without a duty to fulfill, Adelbrecht chose to focus himself entirely on becoming stronger so that might once again serve his Kingdom.

The man dedicated himself to years of training following his defeat at the hand of the warlock and traveled the world and learned muscle building secrets from distant weight masters and strength gurus. Having learned all he thought there to be known about muscle building, Adelbrecht secluded himself from the rest of the world to put his teachings to use. Years he has spent to develop a body full of muscles but now that his teachings have started to lose their effect, the strongman has rejoined society in search of new ways to gain the power he so desperately craves...
