Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Aaron isn't the biggest talker, but he's friendly company once you get him to speak. He tends to have a soft spot for the weak, and will go out of his way to defend or help someone in need. Aaron seems most comfortable around Gnomes, as he can relate to their facination of engineering. He enjoys tinkering with firearms and steam mechs, thus explaining his attraction to Gnomes in general.

On his free time he enjoys sitting and having a drink and cigar in a bar, or spending time working on a new device or invention. He's very paranoid about being ready for any kind of task, and will occasionally over-prepare on a trip or job he takes up.

Aaron has taken up the life of a neutral mercenary to order to fund his projects and passion for engineering. All in all, he's fairly happy with his life.

History

It all began 41 years ago in the quiet city of Stormwind. Aaron was born to a pair of nobles.

Childhood: Aaron was born in Stormwind living the wealthy life. He was often spoiled beyond belief and was quite arrogant about it. He didn't make many friends, but he loved to read, so that seemed to have kept him happy. He enjoyed reading about Gnomes and their wonderous inventions, and was also amused by Dwarves and firearms, and although he could never convince his parents to let him practice serious engineering for safety reasons, he continued to read as he grew up.

Old Stormwind's Fall: Stormwind fell, and Aaron was still just a small child. Fortunantly, he and his parents took shelter during the invasion and lived to see another day, and traveled with the rest of the survivors to Lordaeron.

Coming of Age: When the Patteson's arrived in Lordaero, they immidately bought land in a remote area in the hills and built a home there in hopes of using the small empty land as shelter from any future attacks from the Horde. Avoidance was the name of the game. Aaron grew a lonely life with himself and his parents, but even so, continued his engineering research and study.

Shortly after the family settled in the hills, Aaron's father purchased advanced (for the time) technology. He had gotten a dwarven gun and a full suit of armor for self defence.

The Third War, and the Plague: Years had passed, and Aaron had become a man. He still continued to live with his family, seeing no real need to move out and lose all the money he's supported with by his parents.

Then, the Plague came, and the Scourge invasions had begun. Aaron had always been deathly allergic to wheat and grain, an oddity, but very fortunate in this case. Aaron had never received the infection spread through Lordaeron's grain, but his parents, sadly, were. It was a quiet night that it happened, Aaron was studying his father's gun after they were long asleep, he heard a banging at his door. He opened it and found two scourge creatures assaulting him, and he did not hesitate to shoot and kill them. It was too late however, when he realized these monsters were his beloved parents. He was heartbroken.

He and his family had heard news about the Scourge, but were never actually worried about it, being secluded. That night he packed up many of his things and left home. He took his father's heavy plate armor, his rifle, and his horse, and burned his house to the ground as to burn his past life away. It was forever gone and not to be dwelled on. In his books he had always read about how gnomes and dwarves often communicate in Ironforge, and he had decided to take this life changing nightmare as an opportunity to pursue his passion.

He traveled by his lonesome from his quiet home to Ironforge, across the continent. He had minor fights with loose scourge and horde enemies, but for the most part did a great job of avoiding main roads and paths.

A month later, he had made it to the safety of the great mountain city. Ironforge, city of the Dwarves. He settled there for the remainder of his days, years later meeting some Gnomes after the downfall of Gnomeregan. He had taken up Gnomish Engineering. Now here he is, present day, living in Ironforge. He often travels to Goblin towns for parts and mercenary jobs to fund his work, in hopes of one day becoming one of the best of the best, despite the fact he's a human living a Gnome's way.
