Personality

Alignment: True Neutral

Zenethen is a strange case. His case of insanity has him seeing everyone he meets in a neutral expression, but after a few words between the two, he will prove either friend or foe. Most likely the former. His emotions are completely mixed in his rambles and grumbles of maddening words, either sad, happy, confused, or anything in between. Regardless, his emotions vary randomly. Usually he is in a cheery mood and acts strangely and mysteriously.

History

Zenethen Galrein was born to two loving parents in Boralus, capital city of the island kingdom of Kul Tiras. He also had an older sister by two years, Selena. His childhood was rather simple, he was given permission normally by his parents to wander the city and find odd jobs to do for the citizens around the city. Running errands for merchants, helping out with the elder people of the streets when they needed chores done, and other simply things. He wasn't well-known among his own age group, though, and often would end up going home beaten up, despite his general kindness and respect.

When Zenethen was of age for tutoring, his parents managed to afford the money for him to visit a local teacher's building each day at noon. This continued for several years until at seventeen years old Zenethen found himself amid a frantic account – Stormwind, a kingdom in the south, had been attacked and conquered by a mysterious enemy known as the Orcs. The Kingdoms of the north were preparing for war, but Zenethen's parents had other plans. They decided that Kul Tiras was not safe for their children and family, and moved to the capital city of the Kingdom of Lordaeron. Zenethen's patriotic heart was stirred in his young age, but he would have to wait. Two years passed, and on the eve of the attacks in Khaz Modan, Zenethen enlisted into the Lordaeron Regional Guard.

During the Second War, Zenethen served in the Third Silverpine Battalion as they tried their hardest to beat back the Orcish Horde and all of their allies. After a few months, and the famous turn of the tide, Zenethen marched back to Lordaeron City to find his sister with good news – she had been proposed to by a young squire by the name of Dalikan Godford. Zenethen proudly attended his sister's wedding, and cherished every moment he could with his two nieces that came from the happy couple.

Years of peace passed by, during which Zenethen was eventually promoted to the rank of Sergeant. During the Third War, Zenethen was once again called to the side of his brother-in-law Dalikan. The war seemed to turn from an all-out ambush to a charge to victory as word came of Arthas departing for Northrend. Fearing that worst could come, Zenethen made Dalikan swear an oath to never let Selena come to harm. He was then re-assigned from the Third Silverpine and to the guard of Lordaeron City.

Zenethen was among the city guards lining the streets proudly as their triumphant prince returned home. What little did he expect, however, that barely moments after Arthas entered the palace, the city turned from celebration to disaster. In the massacre that followed, Zenethen was witness to a tragedy. He could only watch and fight against the seemingly endless hordes of the City's former citizens as at the other end of a street his parents were mauled and gruesomely devoured by a crowd of ghouls. In his rage, he was able to dispatch the undead currently assailing him, but then that pushed him into a fight with an abomination. The abomination's powerful first swing shattered Zenethen's shield and blade, and its second swing sent him flying through a neighboring building, his back being one of the first parts of his body to slam through the broken foundations. He was paralyzed and eventually bled to death amongst the rubble. He had expected to be warmed by the Light's hallowed halls, but his journey was interrupted; the necromancers of Arthas' armies had different plans.

His body risen, Zenethen does not rightly remember anything from his service under the Lich King, only that he 'survived' to eventually have his mind freed. He initially joined the Forsaken in their glorious charge for revolution, but he soon discovered that he was losing his mind; and he knew why. He remembered the terrifying sight of his parents being eaten alive by ghouls, and the Forsaken all around him cannibalizing any corpse they could come by to regenerate did not help his mind, only recently freed and fragile. Such tormenting sights bore into his mind, and he fled from the Forsaken cause. He braved the areas of Silverpine Forest for a few short years, but eventually discovered that his kind had been recruited by the New Horde, and so they were considerably 'neutral' to any. With the last bit of his sanity, he marched to Booty Bay, where he finally lost his grip on his mind. The visions of torment and disgust had not been kind to his mind, scarring him to a brink of traumatic insanity. Eating away at him, he eventually lost the grip on his mind.

Zenethen has since that day been finding himself to be consuming random meats at unusual rates, though this was not of conscious thought, more of an insane fetish, and a lucky one at that. The wear and tear on his body over the years had been stabilized through a necromantic form of regeneration. While most of his mind, bred by torment, has dipped to insanity, he occasionally has small and very brief episodes of regaining his sanity, but even these are growing rare and vague by each passing day.

His insanity eventually transformed from fetishes to blatant insanity, his mind now seeing such value in doing extremely simpleton and random things, such as recently recovering the 'Pebble of Destiny', a small pebble that he believes 'leads his way'. He has made several friends and a few unwanted and unneeded enemies. His insane persona has come to be known by the nickname 'Chewie', which accompanies his still-active fetish for eating just about anything he can eat, and chewing on anything he can't – within consideration and the bounds of society of course.
