Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Widdle is, before all things, incredibly intelligent. Practically all of his life revolved around the acquisition and sharing of knowledge, and this defines practically every aspect of his persona. He is eager to share and to learn, perhaps coming off as a bit excitable. He is happy amongst books and other intellectuals. He is also very eccentric, perhaps due to the many hours spent alone in his cellar surrounded by no company but himself. He is also kind and eager to teach the young, believing that raising the next generation is vital both to the future of Azeroth and to their own happiness as intelligent individuals.

Widdle's eccentricity is very influential to his personality. Long ago, he decided that pink was the most superior colour and decided to promote it wherever he travels. His whole wardrobe is composed of shades of pink and purple, and he even went as far as to dye his hair pink and colour his eyes as such. His arcane spells all appear pink. This often gains mixed reactions, usually depending on race, but always guarantees a hesitant reception. He is also has minor interest in language and enjoys to use large words, even to the less educated of Azeroth.

Widdle's repeated dabblings in the Arcane arts have given him mild arcane addiction. He often finds himself playing with a magical light or one of his inventions without realising it, and his attitude slowly begins to deteriorate to a more bitter and cynical version of himself. He assures himself he will never dislike pink, though.

Widdle has never felt much allure to the nationalist and valorous ideals of the Alliance, and, while still respecting their help to his people and definitely favouring them to the Horde is not officially aligned with the Alliance. His loyalties to his homeland still reside, however, and he would fight to defend the Gnomes and Dwarves with his life.

History

Born shortly before the founding of the great underground city of Gnomeregan to a wealthy family of five including himself. His father an accomplished Tinker and his Mother a proficient Alchemist and merchant, Widdle lived a content and happy life for his childhood. Showing interest in many different fields, he would often dabble in multiple subjects at once and leave himself unable to focus on one field of study. After spending a few years attempting to learn swordsmanship, he grew tired of his indecisive nature and decided to have his father, a figure he looked up to (figuratively) in life choose for him. A wise and sharp Gnome, his father chose him a double edged blade- the path of a Techno-Mage. Even though Widdle showed no talent or interest in the Arcane Arts, he still abided by his Father's wishes and studied religiously under a three tutors- an arcanist, an engineer and a scholar. It is because of this method of learning that Widdle is like he is today- he never learned to mix the two studies together, but learned them both well on a theoretical, and to a lesser extent a practical level; enabling him to apply the two in combination.

Spending many years learning and discussing, it came upon the time near his late thirties that he needed to engineer his own path forward and publish his invention. After his intense studies of physics and it's applications combined with magic, he decided to attempt to apply clockwork time keeping and visual augmentation together. What he created was a rudimentary method of picking up vibrations through a microphone and sending them to goggles. Unfortunately this was highly impractical and required a large amount of equipment and thus not portable- however it was somewhat revolutionary and he took the namesake "Timesight." He was very proud of his invention and still has the original blueprints to this day.

Widdle spent many of his years content with his life; he was well off economically, had an infinite amount of research to do and lived in a small group of close friends. However, his lust for arcane knowledge began to overtake his happiness where he was; so he left Gnomeregan. Travelling first north, to Quel'thalas to discuss with the prestigious High Elven mages, and then back down south to Stormwind to consult the ingenious and creative Humans. Still he wanted more, so he organized himself a trip to Dalaran. Unfortunately, the Second War cut off his access as well as taking his attention away from study to use his hard-earned skills in combat against the encroaching Orcs threatening the remnants of the Human kingdoms. He then finally gained access to Dalaran and spent many years in it's vast libraries, reading and consulting with the fabled magi of the Kirin Tor. He was content there, and the few other Gnomes were enough to stem his small homesickness.

Seven years ago, at the time of the destruction of Gnomeregan, Widdle was still in Dalaran. As soon as he heard the terrible news he rushed back to help the refugees and aid the liberation of Gnomeregan, but alas it was to no avail. While his friends survived, he was still heartbroken about the huge loss to his people's numbers. He stayed for around a year, but there was little he could to do help, so he went his way to Dalaran's new home, the frozen continent of Northrend. He continued on with a similar life to before the Third War, learning and practising relentlessly.

Skills and Abilities

An accomplished Physicist in multiple fields including High Energy, Acceleration, Temperature and Thermodynamics, Widdle is a Scholar at every level. While his knowledge in Chemistry, Biology and Alchemy is sub-par at best, he makes up for this by his huge knowledge of how magic and technology interact at a scientific level. His skill as a Techno Mage lies not in fantastical inventions powered by magic or huge arcane explosions, but in his deep understanding of the science behind magic and it's relation to standard science, allowing him to create situations impossible outside of the realm of magic. Chiefly, his skill in transmutation magic combined with technology allows him to achieve impressive feats. Two of his inventions:

A small, dual bladed iron knife which he keeps in his glove. The two shards of metal are touching, and using magic to move them against each other at rapid speeds. His knowledge of transmutation allows him to balance the heat and create an incredibly hot blade which can cut through many materials such as thin metal and wood very effectively. This of course is highly dangerous and time consuming and thus impossible in combat or otherwise stressful situations.

A pocket watch with an Apexis Crystal inside. He uses this as a conduit for his time-related magic, magically linking the crystal's rate of vibration to his goggles. This allows him to literally see the passing of time, and control it's flow more easily. Of course, this magic is incredibly limited and he can do little but slightly slow down time for a few seconds- it is much more a personal interest than a combat ability.

He also has some skill and knowledge in abjuration.
