Usual Garments/Armor: Wende wears a fairly primal leather harness, with leather pants on below this. The leather harness has a shoulder pad on one shoulder. Every piece of her clothing is made of the same leather. The leather shows off a lot of skin, something she doesn't necessarily mind. She doesn't wear heavier armor, unless she needs it for a battle.

Other: She has a long faint scar from the corner of her right eye, going down her cheek and stopping at her chin. On the right side of her nose is a large, silver studded piercing and another above her left eye. Black tattoos cover her torso and arms.

She has a fox named Sophie. She has a variety of longbows and guns that she switches between using, depending on the situation. She also carries a large sword, for melee fights.

Personality

Wende, having grown up in Dalaran, is quite the intellectual. She knows a good deal of many things, including how to survive in wildernesses. When among people, she's often the joker, teasing basically anyone she sets her eyes on. Due to her upbringing, she can be a bit blunt and foul mouthed, something that's immunized her to similar language. On top of this, she can be a fairly decent liar. Despite her behavior, she often offers help to others whether they need it or not. Although it may not always be beneficial.

Under all this lies a bit of a sadist, something the girl never really realized was there until it was. This adds up to a certain lack of caring, one that leads her to not care if people are in her way and she needs to get rid of them. She also holds a certain apathy for laws.

She holds the typical view of a Human. While she finds no quarrel with any of the Alliance races, she finds Night Elves, Draenei and Worgen a bit strange. Thus, this leads to a preference, within conversation, to be dealing with another human, or maybe a Blood or High Elf. Of course, talking to Blood Elves is looked down upon, and so she keeps the fact that she talks with them a secret when in Alliance territory.

Of all the Horde races, the biggest place in her heart is for the Undead. Unfortunately, that place is a dark, unlovely place in which only hate festers. Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, they all live on the edge of this territory, especially when considering their past. While she doesn't hate them as much as the dead, she still does, and is very cautious about them. However, unless they try something, she will not attempt a fight. The one thing she regrets is the Blood Elves -- she wishes they'd never left the Alliance, although secretly. She doesn't particularly mind Goblins, unless they are aligned with the Horde, at which point she's wary once more.

History

Wende's first year was a jumbled one. She was born to a nameless mother and father. The mother wanted nothing to do with a child, and was quick to give the child to the father. However, the father's line of work did not mix well with a kid, and thus the father passed him on to his father. Wende's grandfather was a simple citizen of Dalaran, and the rest of the girl's first few years were spent in ease, helping her father supply shops in the area. Most of her day was spent following her grandfather, with little friends to pass the time. It wasn't because of an inability to have friends, merely because she didn't want some.

Around the age of seven, she met an Elf roughly her age when she stopped some tormentors harassing him. The two naturally bonded -- the Elf was a bit of a wuss, and Wende took pride in the fact that she could protect him from those who would hurt him. Of course, she found ways to support him other than protecting him from bullies, and the friendship between the two blossomed.

A few years later, and puberty hit. Naturally, feelings developed going from Wende to the Elf. Naturally, feelings of conflict raised within the girl. She wanted to be with the Elf more and more, but her grandfather disagreed, grounding her whenever she would disobey him. Naturally, she disobeyed him more by sneaking out. As she spent more time with the Elf, she began to wonder if she should tell the Elf of her feelings. She had a premonition that he would reciprocate, but there was a chance he wouldn't, and that chance kept her from asking. Of course, the racial differences made a difference as well, especially his longer lifespan, and the fact that he would outlive her. However, at the same time, she felt happy that he would be upset over her death.

She decided to keep her feelings a secret, for better or worse. Then, at the age of fifteen, tragedy struck. Her grandfather passed quietly in his sleep. While the neighbors were supportive, eventually that support dwindled away, and she had to make it on her own. As she began to spend more and more time on adult responsibilities, her time with her Elf friend dwindled. One night, as emotional teenage girls are wont to do, she made a life changing decision. She baked a cake, wrote a letter with the words 'I'm sorry' and left both to him, before suddenly leaving Dalaran.

She spent the remainder of her grandfather's money on armor, weapons and tutelage to a school training the young to fight. It was here she spent the next five years, learning to fight with a myriad of swords, axes, maces and bows. In the end, she decided that a bow, sword and gun were good enough for her. Her trainer, knowing Wende's desire to be a mercenary, managed to get the girl a spot on a squad comprised of four others. Together, they were hired to accompany Lady Jaina's forces west, to the new lands.

The leader of the group, in order to keep a group of mercenaries together, had to be fairly charismatic, and he was. He became rather fond of Wende, although his advances fell upon the deaf ears, for she was still hung up on the Elf from Dalaran. She ignored his flirts and gestures, faking obliviousness. Then, news of the destruction of Quel'thalas reached them, and a pit grew in her stomach. Afterwards, news of Dalaran's destruction reached them, and the pit only grew. However, instead of wallowing in her sorrow, Wende wanted revenge. She wanted to give payback and twice that to the Undead that had decimated her home. She convinced the leader of the group to return to Eastern Kingdoms, to go up to Northrend, and to fight.

They managed to sign on as mercenaries for Arthas's expedition, quietly hiding the fact that they'd deserted Jaina's forces. The group obviously knew what they were doing, for they showed no remorse to the Scourge and had no issue with them. That was until they met a surprise attack. The charismatic leader quickly realized their doom and grabbed Wende, making a break for it. She, of course, flipped out as she watched her teammates fighting off the Undead without them. She automatically assumed they were killed since she was not there to see the outcome. The two were chased down by the Scourge, but managed to reach safety. She slowly recollected herself.

A host of emotions bubbled to the surface. Shocked, outraged, she was emotionally distraught by what he'd done and what she'd seen. She berated him; "You were wrong, wrong! What were you thinking?!" She yelled this until her throat was hoarse. His only reaction was being heartbroken at her response. The next morning, she woke to him dead. She reasoned that he'd come to his senses and atoned for his sins. Unfortunately, this left her alone in the wilderness of Northrend.

She went east, to a massive forest full of stags and various other wildlife. And there, she persevered. Using her survival skills picked up from her training, she managed to eek out a living among the foreign landscape. Eventually, she made a friend. A stag realized how the area around her cave was fairly clear of predators, and ended up trailing the Hunter in her movements. She was more curious than hungry regarding the friendly stag, and ended up letting the stag stay with her. In return, she used the stag as a mount.

She lost track of time, often wondering what was happening past the wild forests around her. Often, she found herself talking aloud despite there being no other person to reply or even listen to her. Then her wishes for civilization was answered, but for the price of her animal friend's life. A hunter stumbled upon the stag and shot it for its' meat. Hearing the gunshot, she rushed to see her beloved companion dead on the ground. Her initial reaction was lashing out at the man with her weapons, nearly killing him until she realized she had found another human being. She tended to the huntsman's wounds, apologizing for her emotional outburst and attempted murder. Fortunately, she was forgiven and was taken back to the town where the man resided.

Rather chatty at first, she managed to regain life in civilization with ease. Word of the Argent Crusade reached her ears, wanting to leave Northrend and to return to the Eastern Kingdoms, she went back into the mercenary business. She arrived to be stationed in what they now called the Plaguelands. Already accustomed to fighting the forces of the Undead, she made some good coin fighting along the Argent Crusade. Despite the Forsaken members in the faction, her views did not change on the Undead, finding it unnatural and disgusting. She often avoided the Undead members and those who sympathized with them.

Although, she began to miss animal companionship like she had in Northrend. While she enjoyed the company she received, the longing for an animal bond only seemed to grow. Then strangely enough, something happened when she went scouting one day to fulfill her yearning. A darkhound, known to be a typical evil beast, killing for sheer joy, approached the woman. Her weapon at the ready to put the demonic dog down, the darkhound instead sat in front of her to show no resistance against her. This baffled her and decided to experiment with the hound. She commanded the dog to do simple actions and it followed them in return. Despite the oddity of the situation, she chose the darkhound to be her new companion, naming it Alastor.

She and Alastor made a great team, although it turned many heads and questioned Wende about her loyalties. Eventually, the recruiter that had been giving her jobs denied her any more. Furious, she took her leave, taking Alastor in tow, looking towards the Goblin cartels for business. It paid much better than the Argent Crusade, given her more opportunities to travel, and rest from battling the Undead. She supposed Alastor was helping her receive the jobs from the cartels, he made her look more intimidating apparently.

This road led her to an unexpected meeting with someone she never thought she would see, her father. Yet, it was not because they would make a partnership, but because he was her target for a bounty. It was a twisted chase of cat and mouse, the mouse chasing the cat instead. He would set traps for her, waiting for her to come and get him, only to end up in some disappearing act. A long, aggravating chase it was for Wende and to her father it was a game of trials to test his daughter.

She had no idea he was her father due to her grandfather keeping quiet about his own son. Until the day she finally caught him, he had told her. He explained to her that he knew who she was from the very beginning since she looked a lot like her mother, and that he was testing her all this time. She wanted to accept him deep down inside her heart, but not being there for her while growing up and his silly little training method only turned her cold to him. That moment in time, the memory of killing her own father as he embraced death with open arms and smile, will stay embedded in her mind. He had offered his sword to her right before he died, she gladly took it in exchange for his life.

Months carried on with her new sword and her darkhound companion, fighting for coin as a mercenary. She traveled to many places, gathering knowledge about the world and techniques to help her improve her combat skills. She even learned how to fly on the back of a gryphon. Then the Shattering occurred, fortunately she was able to stay in a safe place to avoid getting hurt.

The land had changed, drastically in some areas, wanderlust had taken over her. Opportunity seized her since the change only deepened problems or created new ones which meant money. Venturing off to Tanaris, going to the remains of Gadgetzan, she found a job to investigate the new open land of Uldum.

In Uldum, trying to avoid the natives and the pests, she became desperate for the essential things to survive. She spotted someone who was not native to Uldum. Surprised and eager, she attacked the person trying to mug him of all of his belongings. It was a Blood Elf who cried for his life and yet dared to insult her with words similar to her Elf friend long ago. In response, she nearly killed him until they both realized who each other were, remembering back to the times they shared in Dalaran.

After some reconnecting, she decided to admit her love for him after all these years. The feelings were mutual despite the time gap in which they have not seen or interacted with each other. Although, her love for him was well received, she still recalls the doubts she had as a teenager. For now she plans to go with the flow, expressing her feelings for him rather than hiding them.

Again, the new land held more surprises for her, but this one was not too welcoming. Continuing with a bounty request, she discovered her old mercenary squad mates, the ones that were left to die in the surprise attack. Alastor, her faithful darkhound companion turned out to be called Spike, belonging to the group. They requested her to join them once again, but as a Forsaken. Confused, not sure when this plan to recruit her as an Undead started due to having Alastor for months now, she declined. She made a break for it, getting away without being followed. Questions such as; "Why now, why not earlier?", "How did they find me?", and "How long have they been planning this?" made her wonder.

The sudden, brief reunion caused her to leave Uldum for Alliance territory in the Eastern Kingdoms. Before she left, her Blood Elf friend, now lover, gave her a fox to replace the void where Alastor once stood. She thanked him and named the fox Sophie, leaving for Stormwind the next evening.

She now hopes to find out the mysteries behind her squad mates' return and maintain her relationship with her Blood Elf lover. And perhaps, she'll find out more secrets and mysteries in the future ahead.
