Personality

When out of battle, Vyra is a calm and kind woman, following the Light's teachings on kindness and compassion. She will put aside all her business to help others, but won't do much aside from that. The woman chooses to isolate herself within society, as far as finding a quiet corner in the area and reading a book to spend her time, or simply deep in thought. When approached, she will react warmly, but it quite depends on the person who approaches her.

In battle, Vyra changes from one side to the other, becoming a furious force of righteousness. She will not show remorse or forgiveness to her enemies under any circumstance, and will not stop until they fall without movement. Keeping her mind devoted to her cause, if she faces an opponent, the woman will stop at nothing to serve out justice. Of course, with this, Vyra doesn't fight innocent souls, or ones that don't deserve such punishments. Only the ones who have proven to be evil to the core will recieve Vyra's judgement.

Vyra holds no hate towards other races, minus two specific ones. Orcs and Forsaken. She sees them both as her enemies, but will not attack them on sight, only if they attack her or engage in an act she considers evil. She holds great respect to Light users, despite their race, and will treat them as 'brothers in arms'.

Alignment: Neutral Good.

History

Born in the large kingdom of Gilneas, Vyra was brought into her life in a rather large home in a small village. Her parents, two doctors and her larger brother were present to witness her birth, along with assist it in any way they could. A hard night of strain and stress passed, the light of dawn broke through the skies of Gilneas as Vyra was brought to her mother's arms right after her birth. The small child was named Vyrandi, after her grandmother's name that passed away from old age a few years before the newborn's birth. Her parents were rather well-off in their life, working as merchants and craftsmen and earning an honest living, along with enough spare to get a proper home to raise a family in. Her father, along with his ways as a merchant, also knew a fair few fighting techniques with a sword and shield. The small child fell asleep in her mother's arms soon after her birth and was moved to a small cradle beside her mother's bed.

The day after the child's birth, she was awoken to meet her family after all the excitement of the newborn child had passed. Two loving parents and one fourteen year old brother that was eager to meet his new sister. She barely knew anything about the world at the time, but she was in good hands. Ten years flew by like nothing as the child grew into a young girl, playing with her mother and father whenever they had time for themselves, along with her brother whenever he returned from his patrols. Her brother joined the guard-force of Gilneas City, causing his schedule to be pretty caught up. The girl learned from her father for the most part, learning to act politely, table-manners and even how to speak with the accustomed Gilnean accent of the region. Not much happened in Gilneas during that time, as it was a calm and out-of-sight place, for the most part. Her father, wanting Vyra to know how to fend for herself, began teaching her hand-to-hand combat at the young age of ten, not wanting to waste a moment. The training was hard on the young girl, but she loved it.

Every day she followed with the same routine, getting up, enjoying breakfast with her mother and father, then moving out to the yard to train with her father. She'd come back exhausted after a hard day's work, but with a wide smile on her face. Year after year, she followed the same routine, until she was fourteen. At that time, her father thought it would be a good enough time to give her her first weapons. A wooden sword and shield was resting under a Winter's Veil tree in the country home, being greeted by an overjoyed Vyra who quickly grabbed the weapons and began swinging them around. With that, also came an announcement. Her parents explained to her that they'd soon be moving out of Gilneas and to Southshore, a calm harbor-town in Hillsbard. Vyra didn't quite know what to say or think, but decided to ignore the thought of a whole change of scenery just to be with her family. And so, the family of four began packing and left the land of Gilneas only a year later.

After a few weeks of travel, the family arrived in Southshore and bought a home for themselves, again, one large enough to contain a family of four. Without knowing much about the outside world, the family continued to live happily in Southshore, retaking their former roles. Vyra's brother joining the Southshore guard, and the young woman continuing to train with her father every day. While Vyra was mocked a bit by the other teenagers of her age for her accent, she didn't let it get to her. She was a strong woman at the age of sixteen, beating her father in a spar for the first time since they began training together. Because of his defeat, Vyra's father was proud and decided to make her a suit of armor and proper weapons. Vyra couldn't contain her excitement once her father told her his plans for her armor and weapons, but tried her best to remain patient.

Since their arrival in Southshore, Vyra noticed some priests worshipping the Light, along with giving 'lessons' on the Light's teachings in the town hall, since the small town lacked a church. With agreement of her parents, Vyra joined the lessons. A priest recognized the woman's eagerness in fighting, along with her interest in the Light's ways. Without telling her a word, the priest arrived at the Stillwater household and set her parents for a talk about Vyra's future. The priest offered the couple to enlist Vyra to train under the paladins of the Silver Hand as a trainee. After a brief few days to think of the offer, Vyra's parents came to a decision and presented her the offer. The young woman was worried. She was worried to leave her house and leave her parents to live far away, but she was also very interested in the offer. She took a week, a single week to decide before coming to a decision. The young woman decided to leave to Stratholme to train under a Paladin of the Light. It was a hard break-up, but Vyra soon left on her way with her newly made armor and weapons, along with clothing and money, towards the city of Stratholme, escorted by two priests on their way there as well.

Vyra's father could not be more proud at his daughter's decision, which was the only thing keeping her going through her hard training. She was only eighteen when she was introduced to the Knights of the Silver Hand by the same priest who first came up with the thought, then was taken as a trainee of a kind-hearted Paladin that was willing to teach her. The training was hard, much, -much- harder than she was used to, but she kept pushing herself to achieve her goal. Keeping in touch with her family through mail, Vyra continued her hard training for roughly nine years. Half-way into her training was the first time she was able to summon the Light's powers, but kept training hard to progress it and eventually master it to an extent. At the age of twenty-seven, the woman finished her training succesfully, and could not be more proud of herself for pushing through her training. She was asked to join the Knights of the Silver Hand, and quickly agreed, joining their ranks in Stratholme. Her parents and brother came in person to Stratholme to see her once they heard the news. They were proud of Vyra to an extent she never thought was possible, they were inches away from kissing the ground she walked on. Despite this, she remained her old self when around her parents, even if a little arrogant to her brother for finally becoming better than him.

The family returned to their quiet home in Southshore while Vyra continued serving as a Knight, but the peace only lasted for so long. Three years have passed when the Horde began rebelling in Lordaeron, oddly enough. The Knights of the Silver Hand were led by Uther to take care of the rebelling Orc forces, and Vyra was pulled along into her first real battle. She gave all she could, wanting to prove herself as the best. Despite her best efforts, the fight was cut short as Arthas and Uther were ordered to move up north to find the cause of the odd plague that's been flying around Lordaeron. Vyra followed the order without question, being proud to serve her people and in the name of the Light. Before they knew it, the Knights of the Silver Hand were fighting toe to toe against the hordes of the undead Scourge, taking down each corpse as it was raised. Vyra was terrified to see such abominations walk the earth, but she knew that it was her job to end their undeath.

The battle for Hearthglen began as the Knights of the order remained stationed in the city to defend its citizens while Arthas went to investigate. Seeing ally after ally fall beside her to the might of the Scourge, Vyra only drove herself further to fight the undead swarms. The remaining Knights thought they were coming near to their end, and Vyra began quietly praying for her family to continue on their rich lives without her, but it seems reinforcements came before death. Uther and his group came storming to Hearthglen and defeated the rest of the Scourge, then took the remaining Knights and lead them up to Stratholme, Vyra following without question. At the gates of Stratholme, Vyra overheard that Arthas went in to the city to purge it entirely. She was shocked, at first, and then mortified. She didn't know someone, a Paladin at that, could cause such a slaughter. Because of Uther refusing to help Arthas in his purging, the Knights of the Silver Hand were disbanded and Vyra quickly left off along with the rest of the Knights that didn't stay with Arthas.

Vyra fled and made her way to Southshore, hoping that the plague didn't reach as far as that. She encountered plenty of hardships on the way, but along with another Knight that followed her to Southshore, they managed to fight through any Scourge attack they had on their road. A few long weeks of hard travel, they two saw the impact of the Scourge was much, much more devastating then they had thought. They made it back to Southshore soon enough, relieved to see it was left unharmed, but under strict and heavy protection. The two made it into the town after proving themselves as uninfected, and Vyra was quickly reunited with her family. It was like taking a ten-ton weight off her shoulders to see her family safe and unharmed, and the other way around as well. Vyra stayed with her family for the time being, but she couldn't help but feel disappointed in herself at leaving the war so soon, so she continued practicing her abilities and training her body to maybe some day join an army force once more.

Five uneasy years passed on the family of four as things slowly began calming down, despite the old kingdom that was now left in ruins. Vyra was informed of the new military force, the Argent Dawn, and she quickly jumped on the opportunity to join them. Being taken in quite quickly, Vyra was happy to return to her work as a soldier, but something odd soon happened. One of the members of the Argent Dawn approached Vyra and offered her to further her powers, master the ways of the Light in ways she's never seen before. Without any hesitation, Vyra agreed, and the man took her under him to begin training as one of the very few Argent Templars in complete secrecy. It was hard to keep up with the training and the military work at once, and there were some cases where Vyra failed to arrive to her training because of the military work or vise versa. Month after month, the woman soon became more and more into her training.

Two years passed since that time, and Vyra was still hard in her training. The Argent Dawn and the remaining members of the Knights of the Silver Hand formed the Argent Crusade as one, and moved their forces to Northrend. Sending a letter to her family in Southshore and no more, Vyra left along with the Crusade to the cold lands of Northrend. After a year and some of fighting the Lich King and his forces, the Argent Crusade finally stood victorious over the cold North. Vyra helped in whatever way she could in the battle, along with keeping up her training, and was finally content when the Lich King was defeated. Soon after, Vyra's mentor gave her the final task of her hard training. The task was to align herself with the Light, and ask for a gift of powers. She sat on her knees, closed her eyes and began praying. For what seemed to be hours she continued until she finally opened her eyes, which now became a cobalt blue color, along with gain a faint glow. Soon after, her mentor began making her a set of armor and weapons, thus finishing the process of becoming an Argent Templar.

Continuing her work with the Argent Crusade, the woman fought proudly for her people and in the name of the Light, practicing her new-found power against the remaining undead of Northrend. She kept in touch with her family, and still does with constant letters and occasional trips once her work allows her to.

Skills and Abilities

As a Templar, Vyra lost her ability to continue fighting without breaking a sweat from her Paladin days, but instead took on a more offensive roll from behind the front-lines, firing off blasts of holy Light at her enemies. She can't fight for too long, and her stamina and endurance have suffered from her training.

Sanctified Fire - Vyra is able to cast blasts and projectiles made of Holy flames.

Divine Ascension - Transforms Vyra's body to a metal-like color, allowing her to cast at a much faster rate. (A limit break. Only used if the situation is terrible for her. ) (( Of course, this can only come into play if all parties in the fight agree OOCly to this skill. ))

Argent Strike - Vyra focuses her entire force into one strike, causing her to lose her abilities until she rests.
