Character Full Name: Vyne Ridaken

Character In-Game Name: Vyne

Nickname(s): Vee', Ve-ve'

Association(s): Sin'dorei, Inferno of the Ridaken

Race: Blood Elf

Class: Rogue

Skills and Abilities: Her preferred method of combat is the use of explosives, or even stealthy actions, for most situations. While fighting unarmed, her skills aren't above those of an average elf, utilizing some basic tricks to help keep her alive. When fighting an 'honest' fight with a blade, she doesn't go far, because of her poor knowledge in full-on combat. Additionally, she is adept at lock-picking, having much experience in that aspect.

Age: 97

Sex: Female

Hair: Red, darkened crimson.

Eyes: Fel Green

Weight: 100 LBs

Height: 5'6"

Appearance

Vyne makes use of water-blue trousers, tightly fitting to her skin, and a rather loose, well-kept shirt for unofficial purposes. She'd wear a black leather uniform when on a mission, like most of the Clan's assassins.

Other: She normally carries around two combat-knives, or two shortened katanas. She also has a holster for a handgun on her right thigh at times.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotically inclined.

Being like many of her peers, this young Sin'Dorei woman takes pride in her appearance and anything that may alter it can easily ruin her mood. She is usually playful and flirtatious, something people have mixed opinions about. It could be said it's impossible to get near her heart and the ones that she acknowledges as her friends notice her secretive disposition more than anybody else. One on a better level of friendship with her may find she's very hidden about her true feelings in most situations. She'd rather joke than show she cares for example.

History

Vyne was born in Silvermoon, long before the dangers of the First War engulfed Azeroth. Being a child in a rather wealthy family her birth came with no complications and a happy start of her life. She had a sister and a small brother. At the age of five, though, she began showing signs of difference from the other children her age, trying to adapt to the difficult lifestyle that was going to be ahead of her.

Clan Ridaken was a newly formed one by her grandfather, Dakius. Her father, Keelik insisted on the young Vyne to quickly begin training in the arts of stealth and the blade. The clan owned an estate within Eversong, hidden deep into the enchanted woods. With merchants and other people of influence occasionally stopping by, the Clan had already amassed serious influence but would not require it heavily, at least until the end of the Third War.

The Ridaken, however, tend to stick to their own desires, adapting whatever basic professions the land around them can offer. Vyne enjoyed a small bit of prestige throughout the early years, as her family was treated with utmost respect, even as her Grandfather had been ambushed and assassinated, her father Keelik now taking command of the Clan.

As for the combat, she preferred striking from the shadows more than anything else, quickly dispatching her enemies with grace and skill. After she had tried archery, however, she realized it wasn't quite her style, preferring hand-guns instead, and after years of practice mastering explosives to an extent as well.

As the Third War's grim grasp had already engulfed the sacred Quel'Thalas, Vyne had been on the doorstep of her adulthood. She was happy to help her father in fending off the monstrous hordes, however, joining him and the Clan in what would seem a won battle. Where the Ridaken lacked in numbers, they made up for it in skill. Eventually, it fell upon Vyne's shoulders to guide the Ridaken to victory in that essential, and probably final battle for their Clan.

The young heir, though, was exhausted. Both physically and emotionally, she was on her edge. The idea that they'd win, which had a hold on her since she first felt it, coupled by her feeling for pride, had made the unthinkable happen. The Ridaken lost the battle. They were routed, and driven from their off home by the vile horrors called the Scourge. Vyne and her family, alongside a handful of others though managed to escape, marking the Ridaken's exit from the humiliating scene for the whole war.

As the blood-heavy sacrifices of the elves had already been made, and the Scourge taking what they desired, the fog of war had subsided... but at what cost? Tens of thousands of victims, both citizens and military, had been ruthlessly butchered by the horde of demons that had swept over their homeland. As after every war, hundreds of monuments were erected in honor of the fallen heroes of Quel'Thalas, the now thinned elven population having to adapt to other means of fueling their hunger for magic, with the loss of the Sunwell.

Vyne, Keelik and their clan, now, learning from their past mistakes, began traveling in a search of feeding their hunger for magic, without stopping anywhere for too long, not willing to repeat their fate. Most of their connections had been lost by then, heavily diminishing their spread of influence.

The already mature, and responsible Vyne is dedicated fully to the Clan, and takes delight in helping her father administer the more important business when possible, while still sticking to her routine of training, and occasionally having fun. She seems to be rather open socially and recently set her sights on Krean, a fresh asset to the Ridaken, taking increasing interest in his disposition in duties.

Due to simple year of misadventures, and horrible timing, Vyne has suffered both pain, and sadness. She's lost those closest to her, and watched many of her once close clan members, leave and never return. After a long exiling of her own into hiding for some time to think over what to do next, she returned to find out about one more sibling, her brother Amura. Over a few weeks time, Vyne issued command of the clan unto Amura, and accepted the position of adviser after an emotional trip in fear of leading the clan to it's ultimate end.
