Appearance

It would be rare to see this girl in clean clothes, and rarer still to see her in anything above what a common worker would wear. Most of her attire is patch work, or self made from animal hides. If she's out "working", she covers her face with a bandana, making it harder to recognize her. She also has a ring through her eyebrow, and through her nose, but she takes both out when she puts the bandana on. Other: She has a small tattoo of a dove over her right shoulder blade. It has no real signifigance, she was simply dared to get it at a younger age.

Personality

In general, she's impolite, rude, and rather boisterous, but she's got a good heart buried within. She tends to either make friends or enemies with people right off the bat, quickly deciding if the person she's talking to is worth her friendship, or is simply a fool that she'd rather glare at then make light conversation. That's not to say that she'll continue to act agressive and negative towards a person whom she has deemed unworthy of comradeship, and can change her mind, if shown reason to.

This is an entirely different case when it comes to those that flaunt a noble rank, or their money. She grows completely irrational and shows outright hatred to those types of people, not giving much of any chance for them to prove themselves. Her reasons for this are very personal, and she's unlikely to talk about them lightly.

History

Vira spent the first few years of her life living with her lower class family in Stormwind. It was a disfunctional family, to be sure. Her father was a gambler, and often spent most of their earnings on his habit, while her mother took to alcohol with whatever money she could sneak from her husband. The two of them together left the household with hardly anything to eat, and eventually set them deep into debt. In the end, Vira's father was "taken care of" by the debt collectors and loan sharks both, and her mother was left with the debt and grief. So, in either a last attempt at motherly love, or more likely just influences by the drink, Vira's mother left her at the Orphan's House, and left the city. Vira heard a few stories that her mother killed herself, but never cared to confirm them.

So it was that Vira, fairly calloused by the obvious lack of love in her old home, was adopted a number of times, only to always be given back. She was taken in for her cute, sweet appearance, and swiftly gotten rid of by her sour, foul attitude. Eventually, she gave up on finding any suitable home for herself, and left the orphanage to live in the streets. Perhaps not the best choice, she soon realized, but at least no one tried to tell her what to do, or harrassed her for her lack of education.

She eventually ran into other children in similar situations, and formed a petty gang of ruffians. They never commited any serious crimes, never much more than stealing a piece of bread or cheese here and there, but they still helped one another out when needed, no matter what the cost. There was no leader of this gang, every child simply helped to look out for each other, and it was there that Vira began to develop something of a kind heart. In fact, she eventually realized that careing for others came easily to her, and that she enjoyed it a great deal.

It wasn't until Vira's thirteenth year that she discovered true hatred. Over the last few years, the gang had been getting more bold, taking more food than they needed for the day, striving to be fully fed instead of just scraping by. They worked out plans to trick people, and high off with food before anyone could specifically catch any of them. However, a wealthy noble from Lordaeron had been in the southern city on buisness one day, and happened to be watching as the children went about their usual plan. Vira never found out why, but the Noble was immensly interested in stopping the hooligans from escaping unpunished. He waited with his two burley body guards for the gang to run about the square and finally bolt in every direction to escape. One of the children ran straight into him and was caught. From what Vira heard later on from that child, the Noble tormented her until she spoke of where the gang would meet. Whether that was the case or not, the Noble was waiting there when the rest of the gang re-grouped, and he proceeded to "teach" them all.

No child escaped without a beating, and the food they stole had been stomped on until it was utterly inedible. The worst for Vira, however, were the people that simply walked by while it happened. It was in a part of town not regularly patroled by guards, but many other people walked by, either only glancing at the scene, keeping their eyes downcast, or in the case of another Noble from the city, cheered the beatings on.

Most of the children were beaten into either sobs or unconsciousness, except for Vira, and the girl that unwillingly helped the Noble. The girl was spared of pain, but left in shock of watching her friends harmed, but Vira glared deffiance up at the man, bruises and cuts covering her in various places. The Noble grew enraged at her, roaring about her "showing proper respect to her betters". He nodded at one of the body guards who came at Vira's side, and struck her with a solid beating stick. The hit broke a rib or two, and left her toppling to the ground in agonizing pain. The Noble was satisfied at that point, and left. Six years later, Vira still remembers the cruelty of that Noble, and the heartlessness of those that walked by while it happened. Her friends had all abandoned her in the passing years since then, and only now does she have the drive to branch out from the back alleys and abandoned buildings of Stormwind to try and seek something better than the title of "street rat" for herself.
