Personality

Viola has a high, strong sense for exploring the unknown and finding things once lost to the hands of others. Her mother and father raised her to be polite to everyone she met, on the grounds that they would probably be polite back to you. Of course, she doesn't always remember this and as such forgets her manners when in the thrill of excitement or out of a clear thinking state. She constantly puts safety of others before herself, and always respects the will and wishes of another. Underneath her skin is a girl learning the embitterment and the pain of the real world, through loss and heartbreak of those that she cared for. This only shows in times of extreme emotional pressure or absolute solitude, as she willingly doesn't want to bother others with her own pain and solace.

History

"There's a big world out there, my only child, and it is only up to you to overtake it." - Arthur Clementine

Born to a quaint farming house in Westfall, Viola was brought up with a prospering family and absolute happiness. The fields were rich and green, and nothing was terrorizing the people. She was an only child to Arthur and Raidi Clementine, both strong, hardworking people. It was not long before Viola made a childhood friend, Nadine Keenan, and became her parents true treasure and heart, wishing to raise someone with enough ability to take care of the farm, their future and herself. By the time Viola was old enough to situate herself, the rumbling news of the bandits that inhabited the caves were moving, and they were marching to Stormwind. Viola, unminding of this, wandered around all of Westfall with Nadine as they explored things here and there, and as such learning to use their weapons as a measure of self defense from the wild beasts that moved through the tall, yellowing grasses and faltering trees. Running along the coast, finding caves and niches in the rock walls, the entire place was like the back of her hand.

By this time, however, the fields had turned yellow and were not coming back. Viola's parents could no longer support all three of them, and at this time Viola took it upon herself to leave her home with Nadine in search of bigger, and better things. The grass fires started by the bandits that could not take the lush green forests of Elwynn ravaged the lands, and her parents were not exempt from this. Arthur, a strong man, managed to defend his homestead with the Militia, but the fires were moving and they could not stop them. His house burnt down with his wife in it, and he was forced to relocate to Stormwind until he could regain his footing. Viola had left at this time, and he would not ruin her free spirit by telling her of the incident. During this time, Viola and Nadine traversed the world, happy as could be together, spending most of their time climbing into caves and getting out of trouble. People came and they went, traveling parties that were seeking other lands, but in the end it always came down to Viola and Nadine, the others had died or were sated of their free spirits, for the time being.

It was in Stranglethorn that Viola had lost track of Nadine in a cave, too dark to see and too dangerous to stay. Hours of searching led nowhere, desperate calls that echoed the walls and woke the animals. She finally crawled out of the cave, and into the desperate, melancholic rain. Viola sat there on her knees, crying until she could not physically take it any more. A few days at camp later and she finally rolled up her bedroll, packed up her tent and supplies and headed back to Westfall to talk to Nadine's family, and to see her own. She arrived shortly afterwords, taken by the sight. The fields were dead, orange and dirt, and bandits crawled like worms after a rain. She arrived at Nadine's homestead, crossing their once plentiful field, and knocking on the door. The funeral was a few days later, an empty coffin. It was at this time that her father had to tell her that her mother died and the house was destroyed, and he was living alone in a smaller homestead, trying to meagerly get by on producing the last crop that would grow in these dying fields, wheat. Viola stayed there for only a few days, but realized that she must stand up and move on, and set off on foot in the dark of the morning, kissing her father goodbye and stepping out of the door.
