Personality

Alignment: Neutral good

Velrinna, at first glance, seems to be a cold and distanced person. In truth, however, she is a gentle and kind soul, willing to forgive and forget. Her years of service in the Blood Knight order have made her a rougher person, if only on the surface. Despite her kind and gentle self, however, it still takes quite some effort to crack her cold shell, unless she took a natural liking to a person.

Her recent promotion to Master has strengthened her resolve to the cause of her Order and her own resolve to serve her people in whatever capacity possible.

History

Velrinna Sunglare was born to a wealthy family in Fairbreeze, with a twin sister named Celeste Sunglare. The family was wealthy, but not noble. Their father desired to be affiliated with a noble family above all else, and Celeste was often taken to Silvermoon to be noticed by the various nobles.

However, Celeste was never noticed, and because of the increasing verbal abuse from their father, she left the family one day. Velrinna was left alone, but instead of doing the same, her father sent her to Silvermoon to train in the art of magic. Velrinna disobeyed her father, learning the art of the blade instead in order to become a spellbreaker. Naturally talented with the blade, she quickly mastered the sword and shield, becoming a capable swordsman in her own right. This would help her later, during the aftermath of the Third War as she held off the undead in the ruined lands of Quel'thalas.

Many years passed, and the Second War was over. Velrinna had lost her parents and her sister was nowhere to be found. She resolved to remain in Silvermoon and continue her training. Fate – by a stroke of luck, perhaps – was to spare her from the genocide of Quel’thalas by the Scourge, by having her escorting a magister to Dalaran at the time of the attack. When she had returned to Quel’thalas, the Scourge had long done their work. Velrinna managed to find a group of rangers holding out against the Scourge, but she never grasped what had happened to the Sunwell, only understanding that the source of her magic was no more. It was at that time when she first utilized the fel, by draining a fel crystal. Her swordsmanship was put to good use as she managed to hold off extraordinary numbers of undead warriors - granted, with help - as the weak and wounded were evacuated to a safer place.

Time passed. She returned to Silvermoon proper when the Dark Portal was reopened. She quickly found her home within the newly formed Blood Knights, swearing loyalty to Lady Liadrin. She took the betrayal of Prince Kael'thas quite badly, not wanting to believe that their prince had stolen the one source of their - and her own - power, M'uru from the city of Silvermoon. Regardless, after gathering her bearings, Velrinna swore to help exact justice against her former Prince, by then a servant of the Burning Legion. Living long enough to see both Illidan Stormrage and Kael'thas killed and the Sunwell restored, Velrinna settled down in Silvermoon in a modest apartment, serving the Blood Knight Order and her kingdom.

The Cataclysm occurred while she was visiting a friend in Orgrimmar. Barely managing to survive, Velrinna was stranded in Kalimdor for quite some time. As the conflict in the Barrens escalated, she found herself far from the front lines, healing the wounded orc and tauren soldiers.

As soon as she could, she returned to the Eastern Kingdoms to her homeland, Quel'thalas. There, she began serving in the Blood Knight Order once again. Working hard for the rank and title of "Master", she has finally earned that rank. She now works even harder for her nation, people and Regent, willing to put her life on the line without reservation.
