Personality

Vatrenus is a down-to-earth person. He is very realistic about situations, friendly and social, but seldom talks about himself or his history. His main goal is his own survival, than the survival of others. He rarely risks his life if he can avoid it. Vatrenus searches for his purpose ever since the Third war ended, he has been looking around for his place in the world. It burdens him that he doesn't feel like home anywhere. Vatrenus is a quick learner and always on the alert.

History

Vatrenus grew up in the farm lands of Westfall on the boarder to Elwyn, about the time the rebuilding of Stormwind took place. His childhood was a child's dream. His father was just as down to earth as Vatrenus is now, taught him everything about farming and when the right season came, Vatrenus was allowed to go with his father on hunting. It didn't take long for his father to understand his son's potential. Vatrenus learnt quickly, and was always on alert for things he considered fun, even better if it could teach him something along the way. The father allowed the son to practice as much he wanted with the hunting rifle, under strict rules of course.

Vatrenus mother was a caring woman. He never had close relations to her since she spent most of her time caring for Vatrenus' little sister. The little girl was very ill, she had constant fever and threw up alot. The mother and daughter got in that way close. However, the little girl passed away one harsh winter, the day before her 12:th birthday. The mother cried for weeks, and became very weak. Vatrenus had to stay home caring for his mother while his dad went out to hunt. From the bed the mother taught his son how to cook. And as usual, Vatrenus learned quickly. Winter passed and summer came. His father needed help with the crops, so his mother was left without care. She soon collapsed in some kind of psychic sickness, she refused to eat or drink. She too passed away. Sadness struck what was left of the once happy family. But the father and the son kept busy, in order to push away the sorrow.

The year that Vatrenus turned 17 and his father reached the age of 45, a Stormwind Guard approached the farm. The guard informed about the Stormwind Guard and what they did, and that's how Vatrenus got recruited. His father encouraged him to enlist since he knew that the farm wasn't making any profit. Vatrenus did as he was told and was recruited. He learnt the basics in hand-to-hand combat and sword fighting quick. He even got around to learn dagger fighting as an alternative. The guard trainer was amazed by the young man's sharp mind so he re-assigned him to one Stormwind guard's scout squad. For a few years Vatrenus gathered Intel regarding the rising threat of The Defias Brother Hood.

It wasn't long before SI:7 laid eyes on him. They recruited him, and he accepted it. The bigger wage he got, the more money he could send to his father, who now had to depend on his son. At old age the man could barely manage the farm by himself. At first, Vatrenus got trained by SI: 7 to fit their ways of working, he learned to sneak better and track better. At his free time Vatrenus kept busy learning engineering from the Gnomes in Dwarven District. He thought it would come in handy,he also earned some extra money by helping the Gnomes. Vatrenus was put on a mission with two other SI:7 Operatives to track down hidden Orcs, so that the Stormwind army could take them to their camps. The group became very successful. At the time, Thrall escaped his imprisonment Vatrenus received a letter. His father had passed away. Leaving him in heritage of the Farm where his whole family had died within a decade.

Vatrenus requested to leave SI:7, and after half a year he finally got dissmissed. He returned to his family farm only to find it occupied by Defias. He left it to them, and never did return... He kept himself isolated from most of the world, living in the peaceful Northshire during the Third war. Now, at the age of 27, he finally decides to leave Northshire to start looking for his place in the world....
