Appearance

Ren is a man to make statements, though only rarely are they about fashion. He wears clothes he can fight in, and from there tries to be as intimidating as possible. When he isn't working, he wears average clothing, though nearly always worn out.

Personality

Ren isn't a man to bicker over the little things, he'd really rather just punch you and get it over with. Of course, with larger problems come a greater need for force, and with more force comes a larger gun. He tends to solve all his problems with violence or intimidation, and really does make a good living from collecting Goblin debts or breaking kneecaps. To people who know him well, he's an okay guy. To people who don't know him, and aren't Cartel, he's pretty much a jerk.

History: The beginning of Ren's life was served in complete unimportance to anyone. His mother was poor and fairly loose, and his father was drunk most of the time. When, at the end of the Second War, Ren stowed away on a ship to the “Wild and Exciting jungles of Kezan”, he wasn't missed at all. Life in the refugee camp went on, and life for Ren was just about to start.

Well, it didn't end up too well for him. Goblins like profit, and a stowaway was eagerly sold to the Slave Master. On the auction block, Ren was sold to an Arena Promoter. He didn't pay much, but figured he would get a nice bloody match out of the teenager before he died.

The Arena Promoter wasn't in luck, but neither was Ren. The first near-escape from being gored by a boar paved the way for a short but surprisingly successful arena career. He was a quick fighter, and a quick learner, but as he grew older, Ren wanted to beat people on his own hours.

Occasionally a Goblin gets overzealous, and sometimes a Basilisk's eye-covers come just a bit loose. In any case, there was a new statue in the arena basement, and a set of keys in the now-older Ren's pockets. With no second thoughts, he entered the world of free men.

A Long Ordeal: The slums of Undermine isn't something a Human is prepared to take on. Ren was out of luck, and out of money so he did the one thing he knew he could do: He joined a gang. They picked pockets and cut purses for a living, barely getting by in the more dubious industries of the Goblin home-city.

Of course, one can't always get what one sets out to, and often you get more than you'd bargained for. When Harold "Dead-Eye" Greybeard felt clumsy hands on his coinpurse, he wasn't in a very vindictive mood. He beat Ren to an inch of his life, of course, but a good lad is always useful in the Blackwater Raiders.

Ren served for years under Greybeard, doing grueling work when no one else wanted to, and learning how to work a rifle on the side. Under the old Blackwater's tutelage, Varren became an excellent shot, and an accomplished sailor.

All good things must come to an end, and when Greybeard wasn't found after a Bloodsail raid Ren simply drifted off again. His work with rifles and small arms was enough to get him temp work as a bodyguard for unimportant Goblins, and his dependability brought him further along.

The Present: The Raiders served to make Ren much more driven. He's risen to some renown among the Cartel as a hired fist, and grew about him a small “Gun Club” of similar-minded folks called Ren's Reds, who get together to drink, brag, talk shop, and hire themselves out.

The Reds: Ren's Reds are a loose group of Steamwheedle thugs and gunmen who generally like to brag to each other about what they've done. They drink together, harass people in bars together, and occasionally contract together. Most of the Reds are Human, but there are a few exceptions.
