Appearance
A kaldorei still in the prime of his life with toned musculature and the characteristic V-shaped torso, telltale of a life of physical labour. Terauk seldom break his straight-backed and wide-footed posture, even when off duty. His skin borrow its colour from clouds upon Kalimdor’s night sky and his hair is white like snow in Winterspring, kept in tight and precise braids. Vivid facial expressions that efficiently purvey his state of mind stand in stark contrast with his otherwise stern visage and poise.
Both on and off duty, Terauk carries a shield emblazoned with a golden tree and a blade he has shaped himself.
Personality
Terauk is dutiful and show great respect for the chain of command, perfectly comfortable being given assignments with little question or consideration. He has all the qualities that make up a good soldier, but he is no hero nor leader and have no desires to become either. His main goal in life is to settle down and start a family, away from warfare and demons.
When off duty another side of Terauk appears, a man fond of jokes and lacking of meal etiquette. An elf with dreams and fears, to one day change his life by starting a family of his own and suffer no more warfare or demons.
In private, he is a spiritual night elf that at least once a year prepares a shrine for each Ancient and present offerings to them. He has been known to call out to Tortolla for protection prior to combat.
Skills and abilities
Terauk is an adept warrior, trained in art of sword and shield but have on his own mastered two-handed blades as well. Despite being a frontline soldier, he opts for slightly lighter armour trading defense for speed and increased range of movement.
During his thousand years of service Terauk became a smith, mastering the art of forging slender and deadly blades.
History
Terauk was born on the slopes of Mount Hyjal and was raised in a time peace and relative tranquility on Kalimdor.
Not even halfway into his third century and Terauk was pulled into war against the aqir in Silithus. The young elf didn’t fight valiantly but he survived the War of the Shifting Sands, but the atrocities witnessed changed Terauk and made him consumed with his duty.
Inspired by the courage and actions of Shiromar, Terauk stayed with the men and women of the Cenarion Circle he had fought alongside and ended up becoming a warden, watching over the sleeping druids.
His life was pretty much uneventful during the centuries that followed, guarding barrows and keeping his body and senses honed and perfecting his bladesmithing.
When Malfurion and the other druids were awakened by priestess Whisperwind, Terauk ventured with his people and fought the Legion in the forests of his youth. He had witnessed cruelty before but it didn’t compare to the bloodbath that was the Legion in on the battlefield. In the aftermath he fled from his duties and friend in the Circle only to return three years later without a word of where he has been or why.
Terauk stood among the great army that assembled in the desert of Silithus as the Scarab Gong was to be struck. This time a grown kaldorei and a tempered warrior, he never turned back this time and lended his shield to protect his comrades. He broke off a piece from an enemy which he later fashioned into a sword dedicated in memory of those who have died in both wars against the insects.
