Personality

Tekla is an odd one at best. She is often unpredictable, and downright strange at times. Though traveling about as a free-lance jack-of-all-trades, she does often behave inexperienced, silly, and years behind her actual age. She is often seen parading around, singing humming children songs, or being overly joyous despite whatever circumstances there might be. Though she can be sullen and calm, she does have her moments and can be often cranky if she has not eaten in a while, or was rudely awakened.

It is widely noticed that Tekla has an obsession with muffins, and has even incorporated them into her work, finding ways to poison them, turn them into escape mechanisms, and catch her targets off guard. That being said, it is unknown if Tekla is truly as care-free and happy as she comes off, or it is just a front to deceive everyone around her.

History

Tekla's origin of birth was never told to her, but she was raised in the city of Stormwind under watch of her noble uncle. Her parents, and family included, had a long history in the Alliance military. However, her parents decided to keep their daughter out of the war scene and sent her to school to serve the Alliance as a physician or an engineer people. She was, in all honesty, a terrible student. Tekla learned, indeed, but was a trouble-maker and tested horribly. Often she was too distracted by her war hero parents. Shortly after she turned 18, she stopped her schooling and secretly pursued behind her parents in the military. Finding she was unable follow orders or the exercises given in the army, she took her combat abilities and used them to become a free-lance mercenary.

To this day, Tekla has odd jobs such as cooking, cleaning, babysitting, killing, spying, and etc. Her work takes her to just about any one who had a demand, though she's turned down a few that were simply against her morals. Apart from that, her life has remained quite simple, just how she wanted it to be. She works, she gets paid, and she spends the money to keep herself alive as well as spoil herself. By no means has she any quarrel with getting paid for fighting or doing jobs that she finds exciting.

The Heretic Circus

Tekla, in pursuit of something to do rather than be a spoiled Noble's niece in Stormwind, she sought off for more work. This didn't seem terribly hard, given her reputation. It seemed that reputation preceded her, as she was confronted by the Heretic Circus, an ambiguous travelling group. Tekla had not cared what they did, so long as they paid her, but over the course of time she became wary of the group, having come aware of their dark deeds. Still, she remained with them for months.

However, Tekla came across a distraught woman named Rheina, a priest who had been struggling with an inner darkness like no other. Sympathy took hold of Tekla as she planned a grand escape so that Rheina's pain could be avoided. But that plan was cut back. Tekla took a side job to assassinate a man named Tavren for a good sum of gold. Texy, as manipulative as she was didn't feel the need to do the wetwork and would have preferred to compromise with Tavren. But fate did not favor her that day. Tavren, as understanding as he was, did not take kindly to her 'employment', and tricked her. Texy was caught in a battle of warlocks and a few others but she did not come out unscathed. Her eyes were burned out, and her mouth cauterized shut.

It took weeks for her to recover, and was soon brought back to the Catacombs of her Circus companions. It was there she was later gifted with eyes, engineered and enchanted by her allies. They allowed her to see with arcane energy, but of course they needed to be recharged every so often. After regaining her strength, Tekla resumed where she left off and aided Rheina in her escape. She took her to her home in Stormwind, where they later journeyed to Dalaran so that she might find a better solution for her eyes. All was well from then on, and Rheina was left to her own journey free to go where she pleased.

The Watchtower

Tekla saw the darkness and evil of the world and decided to put an end to it. She began to gather allies to her needs: vagrants, mercernaries, farmers, and anyone else that so wished to join her cause. Though many joined for the compensation, others were genuinely interested in putting an end to malevolence. This group would be called the Watchtower, having allies in both the Horde and Alliance. Each member had a certain task, whether it was research, eavsdropping, reconnaissance, or being one of the many fighters. Each member had to remain masked in someway, both physically and through name. What happened in Watchtower, stayed in Watchtower. Members were to treat other allies as strangers when not disguised as a Watchman, and would never share personal information about anyone within the group.

To this day, Watchtower has started small operations dealing with raiders and bandits, but as time progresses they will put an end to ultimate evils soon enough.
