Appearance

Tazizi has meticulously kept up with maintaining her tusks -- they've been filed down consistently so as to be small, safely-rounded nibs on either side of her mouth. One would be delighted to note that she speaks slowly and eloquently. Though, when she is excited, flustered or speaking quickly her accent will come out. She moves with practiced grace, and can pour a drink mid-dance without spilling a drop!

Her usual garments are uniformly-colored robes of soft, moderately-expensive fabric, and are modestly cut. On her wrists are a multitude of thin golden bracelets that seem to make a soft music whenever she moves. When she attends parties, however, the fabric gets more sumptuous and the cuts more revealing.

Personality

Tazizi is marked by her confidence, self-assurance, and level-headedness. She rarely, if ever, gives herself up to jealousy or melancholy and especially not in public. As it is to be expected of one in her position, she is quite the social butterfly, but moreso it would appear that the troll enjoys conversation and associating with others. She is a clever, quick learner and highly observant of those around her.

As a pragmatic practice, Tazizi is diplomatic in the social spheres and does her best to appear neutral. While she may be indebted to goblins for much of her life, she is not overly fond of them or their culture. While she may be unaware of it herself, there is a faint longing for ‘what may have been’ had she remained with her own people as well as a feeling of “Unheimlich” or “uncannyness.”

History

How does the sixth (and not youngest, still) child and third daughter of a fierce jungle-born hunter come to serve in high society parties and mingle among the rich? Simply put: Goblins.

Not so simply put, a child straying too far from her mother is an easy target for Goblin slavers to snatch up. As she was young and not much to look at, she could easily have been relegated to a life of hard labor in any number of mines in the Trade Coalition’s holdings. However, she was quick to imitate the actions of her captors and their servants and her awkward tusk-filled smile shone out from under her mop of plaited hair. Any trader worth his salt knows that, with a little work, gold can be coaxed out of rocks. Tazizi was just such a primitive rock.

A goblin, convinced of such by the trader, invested time and money into Tazizi’s training but no one invested more than Tazizi herself. Over the years, she understood full-well that if she were to make it in this world, she’d have to work hard and she did. She pored over texts of etiquette and history, magic and customs, until her eyes hurt and the night dimmed with dawn. She practiced dancesteps until her feet and arms ached. Determined to overcome both her Trollish accent and that of the Goblins, Tazizi spoke to any and all travelers she came across in Common and Orcish. She tamed her hair and, yes, though it hurt and she cried, she even filed down her tusks until they were merely hints to her “savage” beginnings.

All of the efforts, however, paid off – quite literally. At first it was the novelty of such a “civilized” troll that brought her to parties, but eventually it was through her own merits that Tazizi was able to pay back the investments put into her and then some. She wasn’t a fool, however, and she knew the breadth of a goblin’s greed. Such a veritable “cash cow” would never be freed nor allowed to escape. What, then, could she do but wait for the goblin to die of old age?

He died, all right, but not of old age. A reneged deal or two to fellow goblin merchants are not taken lightly, and in the confusion that arose from the merchants absorbing his wares and assets, Tazizi found her escape. A few years later and still free, Tazizi seems determined to maintain her independence and contract herself as she deems fit.

Skills and abilities

Speaking in Tongues: She’s fluent in her native Zandali, Orcish, and Common. She’s conversational in Goblin, though she understands it better than she can speak it. As a note, she is literate in both Orcish and Common.

Society Sweetheart: Tazizi is well-versed in the customs of most races she comes across, though she is known to make a few mistakes here and there. Because of her training, she is able to adapt to “high society” parties all the way down to more casual affairs.

Charmed, I’m Sure: She’s got a way with words, smiles and winks and she’s not afraid to use them!

Everything You Know is a LIIIIIEEE: Tazizi has an adequate grasp of illusion and conjuring spells.
