Personality:

Tao-tao is a slow learner, his reading is poor and his writing is not the best. However, he compensates for it with his muscles which seem to be made out of pure steel. Make no mistake, he is huge, as his heart is bigger than him. He can be very friendly but also very scary. He is normally calm, but once you insult him, trying to make a joke about his intelligence or even simple mocking, prepare to have your head smashed by a hand. Tao-tao often hits his head on doors and passageways, as he is too big for them.

History:

Even when Taonkhar was first born, people knew he would be a warrior, a gladiator, and a true brawler. When he was born, he was huge. For a baby, that is.

When Tao-tao reached childhood, his parents started noticing he was slow, not in speed, but in mind; he was very dumb. But he was also much bigger than the other kids, and was thus clumsier. Taonkhar barely started to read when they banished him from his nomad group, as he was becoming too much of a hassle for everyone. He was hard to take care of, as he was too big, clumsy, and too slow to learn; and beside all that, the nomad tribe had scarce resources. Taon was big, very big, and he ate a lot. So the group thought, to kill one and save many, Taon would be a small sacrifice.

He started to roam pointlessly, and after a week, he was nearing death. He hungered for food, but he did not know how to hunt, nor did he know if he could eat certain fruits or not. Then, an elderly Tauren came to him, put him on the back of his kodo, and rode him to a tent.

The man aided Tao-Tao, who, after telling his story, was adopted by the Elder. He taught Taun not only how to be a warrior, but also strategy. The elder taught him basics; after all, he was the only one with enough patience to do so.

The training was harsh, the studying even moreso. The elder tauren forced him to undergo severe hours of training, forging him into a weapon, making Tao-tao's clumsiness slowly fade away. The studying made him less dumb, almost average, and yet he's as slow as ever. He learned strategy to the point of being able to command an army, or maybe just a small group.

When Taonkhar reached adulthood, the other Tauren was nearing his final ages. Yet before doing so, he left one last objective to his protegee. To break barriers, to be whomever he wanted to be, to show those who banished him that he was not only a clumsy person, but Taonkhar Broadhoof, the brawler. The elder gave him his old gear. It included a crude, yet very sharp sword; it was beautiful; There was also a huge shield, full of spikes, which could almost cover Taonkhar's full body. The shield seemed old, but as sturdy as any other. The sword, however, seemed recently forged, probably especially for him.

Then, the elder told Taonkhar to go, to leave him and fulfill his objective. A day later, he received the news that the elder Tauren had died.
