Personality

Alignment: Lawful Good

Sylorian is a more blunt character, straight to the point and sucked into his job. Although he has the skills to present and talk to the public, he is indeed an introvert, avoiding contact if possible. He prefers to stay away from civilization if possible, because many hate the demon hunters. Don't get this wrong, he cares for the people of Azeroth, with every spark of life in him he will protect, even until death. In short, he is the opposite of his brother Keyaiel. His hatred towards demons, however; is unrivaled. He wishes to be loved for he has had no love. Sylorian is too embarrassed to admit that he is missing something in him. A family is what Sylorian is fighting for most. His heart is as gentle as a butterfly, but his determination for justice set on the demons. His secondary activity is more of a scholarly practice. Sylorian's thirst for great knowledge and his zeal for other realities are often found in his supplies. Aside from food and other necessities, Sylorian often keeps many books with him, either to learn more, or to escape from the hostile world he lives in. He is fighting a war against three enemies: Himself, Demons, and the rejection of friends, family and his own kinsman. Although he is too young to be considered an adult, he shows the determination that many lack.

History

Sylorian was born in Silvermoon as a twin. His brother's name was Keyaiel. The two brothers were bonded as best friends since the beginning. The parents were proud to have had such beautiful children, and wished nothing more than for their success in life.

The lives of the twins were equal parts of both playing and learning. Their desire to learn about the world and what lay beyond was strong. Sylorian's fascination of magic led him to follow mages around and bug them about the arcane arts. Keyaiel, on the other hand, was more interested in the combat styles of other races.

One night, long ago, Sylorian heard some noise upstairs in their house. He didn't know what it was, and being curious at the time, went to check it out. He slowly crept up the stairs until he could see into his parent's bedroom. He couldn't quite see the bed, and he tried squinting to see through the dark. Suddenly, he heard a scream from his mom, and a flash of green fire throughout the room. Sylorian didn't know what to do, but he ran up to the doorpost to see what had happened, by this time Keyaiel was running up next to him. It was a truly horrid sight, the parents of these children were incinerated, dead.

Both the kids stood awestruck, not knowing what happened, or how to interpret it all. All they knew was that their parents were dead. The crying never stopped that night, and Sylorian got his first glimpse of true hatred in his eyes.

The next morning, Sylorian woke up, for he had cried himself to sleep and did not know it, and saw a character sitting in a chair next to him. Sylorian, once again dazed by the event that happened the previous night, looked up at the figure with an innocent look. The man looked back at him and said, "Keyaiel has been sent to an academy where he will train to be a marksman. You, on the other hand, I have my own plans for you."

Sylorian obeyed the older elf, for that is what he was told to do as a child. This figure raised Sylorian, and only called himself the guardian, with no mention of his true name. Sylorian was fine with that, for he knew he was in good hands. The new parent figure in his life would raise Sylorian with a hatred towards demons, of which Sylorian shared the same hate of demons with.

Sylorian was then old enough to start off on his own. At the age of 40, he went out reading books on fel energy and the like and studying a great deal on the world of magic. Fel was introduced the the high elves as a substitute for the magic withdrawal from the destruction of the Sunwell. Sylorian had partaken of the fel consumption, even though he did not truly desire it. For the time, it made the pain go away, but gave them green eyes. He read books on the demonic, and grew more hatred toward demons. After four years of studying, Sylorian was primed to be trained a Demon Hunter.

The guardian came back and offered Sylorian a life changing choice, "Do you know what killed your parents many years ago?" Sylorian never knew what it was, until his guardian mentioned a demon. He also mentioned a summoner who summoned it, and that made Sylorian ripe with more anger. So the guardian asked a simple question, "Do you want to stop this from happening to others?" Sylorian truly wanted to kill the exact demon that killed his parents, and wished to save others from this threat. He then offered Sylorian a chance to join the ranks of the demon hunters, which was not an easy path to follow.

Sylorian spent the next 5 years in physical training, as well as studying. He gained vast knowledge on the demonic and the strength needed to combat a demon. Sylorian knew what came next, the trials of becoming a Demon Hunter. For the next three years, he would train in specific areas and go through rituals to become a Demon Hunter.

The guardian took Sylorian out to Felwood, and gave him a blade, "You have five days to bring back the heart of a demon." Sylorian took the sword and went out to find a demon. The environment was harsh, but his determination was greater. He two days observing dark cultists and their patterns, but had not yet seen a demon.

Towards the end of the fourth day, Sylorian spotted a Felguard on the other side a river. It was twice his size, and most likely doubled his strength. It was now or never to bring back the heart of a demon. With the hatred of demons welt up inside him, he charged the demon straight on, sword against cleaver. the fight lasted about an hour, but the fel guard made a wrong move and left his throat open. Sylorian cut out it's heart and held the bloody vessel in his hands with a sigh of relief. The guardian was watching the whole time, and acknowledged his skills, but Sylorian had more to learn before becoming a Demon Hunter.

The guardian walked up behind Sylorian and whispered in his ear, "Now, can you absorb it's soul into yours?" Sylorian knew this was the second task after he was handed a book by the guardian. He read that book for a few days, but could not figure out how to do so, until that one day.

Sylorian held up the heart and looked at it before closing his eyes. He breathed in deep and focused as much as he could for several minutes, then he felt it, his soul strengthened by the demon's. The guardian was pleased and knew he was ready.

The next day the guardian came up and handed a knife to Sylorian, "Gouge out your eyes, trust me." He held the knife in his hands and stared at it for nearly an eternity. "This will make you the ultimate weapon against demons. The ability to sense fel not with your eyes, but with your hatred." After countless hours of shock, he finally decided that after all that has happened, he needed to move on. The joy of that night came to a sudden stop as blood rushed our of his eyes and his wailing screams were heard.

Sylorian noticed a difference after recovering. He could still see, but it was different. He could see ahead of him in a discolored manor, but yet, was still blind. It was very odd to him and took while to get used to. The guardian came up with a bowl of strange ink, "this is your reward my disciple, bear these markings and take revenge on the ones that killed you parents." Sylorian stood still and let the guardian put the rune-like markings on his body. It was his time to shine. Sylorian was now a full-fledged Demon Hunter, at the age of 45.

Sylorian spent a few more years after this in full on training and small missions. He strove to be at the top of his physical condition. He needed to wipe away every thought of failure and doubt out of his mind before he could face the troubles ahead.

Sylorian heard about what happened to the Sunwell, and felt grieved. He knew that was where he belonged, but couldn't make it for the Shattered Sun Offensive. The fel in his body more than supplied his needs of magic withdrawal. Furious at his loss of fulfilling some of his bloodlust, he stormed out to find his brother.

Today, Sylorian and his brother Keyaiel work hand in hand in the fight against demons, hoping to end their dark and powerful authority in the Outlands.
