Appearance

He usually wears fine silk robes when within cities or among his people in Undercity. When traveling or dealing with business of a darker nature he dresses in dark blue robes and moves through areas with a hood over his face. During these times he usually keeps two weapons on him, a wand with a green jewel at it's top inside the folds of his robes and a staff on his back. This staff resembles a candelabra, three candles at its very top that light with an eerie green flame.

Other: While not overly careful about his body Sozun often keeps himself a bit more tidy and clean than the normal forsaken.

Personality

Sozun's years as a human were all spent trying to keep powerful positions and have great influence as well as popularity among the people. Because of this he never fails to be polite and well-mannered, always trying to keep a calm head and civil tongue. His continued time as a priest has made him extremely opinionated and unmoving in his beliefs. When topics such as faith come up Sozun, as hard as he may try, often will be arrogant and sometimes even stubborn. He's especially angered by those who criticize the Forgotten Shadow and he becomes ill-tempered when dealing with those who hate the Forsaken.

Whenever Sozun feels his pride injured or he is angered greatly he often loses that normal calm control over his tongue. He'll sprinkle insults over all his sentences as well as threats, however hollow. He also has the unfortunate habit of biting his lip to the point that he tears off chunks of flesh. This usually happens when he is at his most inhospitable. More often than not at these times he will resort to threatening to eat the person he is most angry at while they are still breathing, the single threat that Sozun usually keeps.

Though he tends to act civil among the other races and peoples Sozun despises them greatly. Among his own kind he will refer to all others as 'breathers' or when he is particularly irked he might throw the term around. Even those breathers that he calls his allies he truly thinks of as tools. Only to the dead will he allow any loyalty, a lesson Sozun felt he needed to learn after the Humans and the Light forsook him and his people.

History

Sozun was born to a family of decently well off merchants. They did not take much interest in war and combat, instead pushing him into school in order to become learned. As he advanced through his years he was truly an academic, however his focus quickly shifted to religion and philosophy. He pursued the Holy Light and higher learning from the Church. It was not long before knowledge in the divine itself became equated with power for Sozun and power through knowledge was his obsession, prized over all things.

As a priest he was a great speaker, highly opinionated, and completely dedicated to his faith. Sozun's determination came from his deepest belief, that he was destined to do great things. He taste for power quickly perverted itself into an absolute need and as his belief in himself grew so did the powers from these beliefs.

When Sozun started to grow older and influence among his fellow priests he started to wonder about the powers of darkness. All his life he focused on the light and the pure power of his words to try and reach more powerful positions. He felt it was time for a change, to explore all possibilities.

The powers of darkness quickly enticed him, the ability to control much to his liking. Many of his friends and fellow priests shunned the new idea's Sozun had, the new obsession with power they felt in him. In the end he left them, seeking to learn more about the shadow. It was during his travels that he was killed, ambushed by a group of Scourge.

After gaining his free will Sozun wanted to return to being a priest like before. He felt it was his belief, his faith that kept him alive and allowed him to continue on. He quickly found out that the light was no longer of use to him but all the powers of shadow were just in his grasp. To Sozun, this was destiny. Death led him to his true path, to become a powerful Shadow Priest and help the Forsaken become a great people. He joined the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow and never spoke of his human life again.

As Sozun continued to study and become a Shadow Priest he found himself gaining a closer connection with the power of darkness and death. He pursued power that led to the further darkening of his body, tying it more closely to shadow than the normal forsaken. This new closeness left him with powers he deemed a result of his mastery of the Three Virtues. The very stench of death wreaked from him more strongly as if his body had even further decayed. However, while he gained new spells he felt his body weaken drastically, unable to take the full blunt of a physical blow nor even a shimmering of holy light.
