Other: His pet, Barghest, is your standard feral worg. He also serves as the elf's mount. He also looks far more feral than would be standard for an elf.

Alignment: All along the chaotic front.

Personality: Shadovarn is the wild card. Only living for himself and his own gains, he tends to do whatever he wants, regardless of the safety or wants of others. He doesn't care for what other people want from him or even think of him. As far as he is concerned, they are simply tools or toys. He has nearly no moral boundaries, seeing gold as infinitely more valuable than the opinion of people. However, he isn't ignorant about what his actions do to people. He just doesn't care as long as he is sated.

History: Shadovarn's early life consisted of him being a ruffian around the town of Silvermoon. Always the ne'er-do-well, he formed a small gang and would accost people in the shadier parts of town. His list of crimes consisted mostly of petty thefts, muggings and drug dealing. As a result, he became shunned by his mother and father, who eagerly turned their affections to the new child, Belaria.

The elf wasn't pleased by that fact. He continually ignored Belaria, even when she did her best to get big brother's attention. The more their parents doted on her, the more Shadovarn hated her. They even warned her to stay away from her vile brother, finding him to be a disgrace and their greatest shame. However, she still tried to get his attention, regardless of what people said. He was her big brother and hero. She had no idea what it was he did. Over the years, his behavior became more and more violent as Belaria's admiration of him grew. He never acted hostile to her overtly, so he clearly cared for her.

Eventually, she got her wish. Shadovarn finally paid attention to her. He had decided to bring her into his little gang of criminals, all in an attempt to corrupt and twist her as a giant “Fuck you” to their parents. She eagerly followed him into depravity, all to get brother's approval. Their parents were none the wiser.

In the end, he was finally caught and sentenced to prison for murder. He spent years there, rotting away in his cell. Cut off from the outside world, he began to think on his actions and wants. Some regretted, others he craved for again. Soon, he was released from his confined hell. Shadovarn was now a mostly different man. He was also penniless and cut off from his old gang and family. As a result, he did the only thing he could do: He joined Silvermoon's military as a bowman.

His time with the military was rather easy for him. It gave him something to do and some money to earn. He proved to be quite adept with the bow and worked on qualifying as a ranger. In that time, he got married and started on becoming a better person. Then his sister showed up. She had missed her brother dearly and wanted him back. Shadovarn gave her a pat on the head and told her it was time to move on, that things have changed now. She merely nodded and left to go find someone else. He was rather surprised she took it so well.

Time passed and Shadovarn kept up his training. In the background, his wife started to feel neglected and unloved. The archer was always off on some little mission in the Forest or training. She began to feel he was cheating on her. He was never able to set the record straight as the Second War broke out and he was pulled into the frontlines of the war.

It was there his slow descent back into his former self began. He was frequently abandoned by his comrades and allies in the midst of battle, finding himself on the receiving end of an orcish axe. After the fourth or fifth time, bitterness and hate began to set in. For his uncanny ability to not die, he was promoted to ranger and began honing his skills on the field. Back in Silvermoon, his wife's doubts took hold and she fell into depression, only climbing out of it at the insistence of friends to get back at Shadovarn by cheating on him in return.

By the time the Second War ended, Shadovarn was a bitter and angry elf. The only thing that kept him going was the thought of returning to the arms of his loving wife. As things go, she had already left him for another during his time there. With his sister gone somewhere else, he had no one to turn to and felt alone in the world. He could only feel betrayal and rage at what happened to him. Taking it upon himself to get some revenge, he paid a visit to his ex-wife and her lover in the middle of the night. They were found the next morning in various pieces around Shadovarn's house, with the ranger sleeping calmly in his bed. Naturally, he went to prison.

There, he rotted for years, unable to do anything beyond sit in his cell wasting away. It wasn't until the advent of the Third War that he was released. They needed fresh bodies on the front and why not use the prisoners to do so? However, the Scourge forces moved faster than expected and steamrolled through Silvermoon and to the Sunwell before anyone could properly react. Like many, he sunk into lethargy.

After the whole fel consuming process that all Blood Elves went through, Shadovarn found himself alone once more in the hostile world. However, reinvigorated, and still pissed, he started going through the process of mastering his ranger training. It wasn't long until he grew bored of Eversong and began to travel abroad. He came across the goblin towns and the freedom to do whatever he pleased.

His time in Ratchet and Booty bay was spent as a slaver, working to capture people from the jungles or Barrens and selling them back in the goblin towns. Shadovarn made quite a bit of gold, and enemies, from his actions in the jungles. His efforts were rewarded with death twice. It still didn't stop him.

Feeling like he could do better, he started working on tinkering and constructing his own slave collars. He found goblin engineering to be easy and effective. However, he was still unsatisfied with himself. So, he disappeared into the wilds of Azeroth to train harder as a ranger. There , he became more feral and wild. His actions became more about survival and dominance. At that time, he ran into a rather large worg. It didn't take long for the ranger to tame it, it just took him some time to break its spirit and mind. With the worg under his control, he felt far stronger than he did before and began to return to civilization to do as he did before: Whatever he wanted to.
