Regardless he does admire the strength of some of their races, especially the orcish warriors and the power they bring in a battle.

He is very much a follower of the Cult of Forgotten Shadow though he does not often openly express those views among any but other Forsaken. He has a strong connection to the tenants of power and respect though more often than not he refers to them as might and honor.

Though his full name is Marius Scavea he only ever goes Scavea and only introduces himself as such. Battle was his life in life and it is still his singular obsession in death. Finding a difficult opponent is one of afterlife's only joys to him, the only thing that makes him feel alive. Its an addiction that he finds similar to the beliefs that other Forsaken who follow the Echo of Life have.

History

Marius' life as a human was always aimed towards the path of the warrior, guided by his obsession with battle. He was raised in the kingdom of Lordaeron and brought up in the hopes of one day joining its army. As a youth he practiced the art of weaponry constantly and his parents payed for expensive training in swordsmanship as he grew to make him grow strong and skilled.

As he continued to train he became obsessed with fighting and defeating his opponent completely. The challenge of battle was life's greatest gift, fighting an opponent of great power and skill. To bring complete ruin to that opponent was to seize the greatest glory. He often found himself in trouble with his instructors, sparring with greater brutality than other students. He was berated constantly from teachers and parents for his developing violent attitude in hopes that he would change.

And eventually Marius did change, when he learned what would forever more become a defining tenant in his life, honor. When he moved to learn swordsmanship from another tutor he was introduced to a code of respect. Rules and barriers placed in the fight, no to prevent defeat but to keep in mind a theory of respect for the opponent. To allow the challenger a chance to stand again and bring even an even greater fight the next time. Marius was never sure but there was something about honor that attracted him and his life became devoted to fighting for the honor of Lordaeron.

When the invasion of Lordaeron came it was with two tenants of life Marius fought, honor and might. The desire for power down the warriors path still thrived within him but the honor of his people and his homeland was what he wished to defend, to not allow mankind the disgrace of being defeated by the Scourge. In vain Marius fought before being taken by the plague. He lost both eyes to archery fire before be resurrected blind, seeing only darkness but through the necromantic energies within him envisioning the world anew.

When his mind was once again his own he took arms and fought alongside the forces of the freed undead and Sylvanas to regain Lordaeron. His new state afflicted for a long time his mind, helping the Forsaken yes but with a single question in the back of his mind at all times, had he lost his honor? No longer human, no longer living or breathing, yet still able to walk, talk, and 'live.' Yet he was Forsaken, hated by the people he once belonged to the race that gave him his honor.

It was through faith that Marius regained a new honor. He found the Cult of Forgotten Shadow and learned of their tenants. Of them, he took power and respect most closely to heart and through new belief regained his personal tenants of honor and might.

After the fall of the Lich King Marius decided it was time that the Forsaken moved to create a new world and show their heightening might to the other races of Azeroth. Domination is what he fights for now, to prove that the Forsaken are truly a people of greater virtue than all others, shamed and disgraced but still constantly rising to the challenge of thriving.
