Appearance

Saphuu tends to wear whatever she finds comfortable, which could mean anything depending on a situation. If battle is a hand, she's decidedly more comfortable wearing armor than not, but on off days she tends to favor cloth and leather over mail. She also decidedly enjoys the colour blue, and various shades thereof.

Personality

Saphuu is lively, but rather easily bored. If not immediately entertained, it's not at all uncommon for her to either lapse into a period of extended reflection, or simply wander off to find something to entertain or busy herself with. These distractions can vary wildly, from a brief stint at knitting, to an extended hunt for a single riddle's answer.

In regards to the Alliance, she finds the majority of its races curious to say the least, and incredibly enthralling to say a bit more. She doesn't particularly dislike any, and has an open fondness for the Night Elves and their philosophies. In the case of the Horde, Saphuu is distrustful, but not outright hostile. She grew up in a time when Orcs were neither friends nor foes, and an honorable people. Their betrayal and fall to Fel still causes her heartache, but the prospect of a return to honor and her adopted philosophies are incredibly heartening to her.

History

Saphuu wasn't born on Draenor, but in her eyes, it was her first and only true home and always will remain such. She was raised by a Vindicator, her father, and even as a child had aspired to become an anchorite. This path was the one she headed towards, studying the Light and its ideals; studying the teachings of the Naaru. It was what she had every intention of becoming, and for a time she became.

She was content, able to heal the sick and help those she could, spreading the Light throughout her people with a skill that only continued to grow with time. She was certain, more certain than anything else that this was the life she was meant to lead, and yet something nagged at her soul like a whisper on the breeze.

When the Orcs attacked, it was by mere luck that Saphuu survived. Not a warrior, and not currently anywhere near Orcish settlements when they began their raids, she was able to safely relocate to Shattrath, where she spent the bulk of her time tending to the ever-growing number of refugees from the war. Life was not good, but at least she had purpose.

Shattrath fell, of course, and in Zangarmarsh, her faith was questioned by her constant critic, Saphuu herself. She didn't turn from the Light at first, or even when the world began falling apart. It wasn't likely she ever would, really. But when Shamanism began among her people, something inside her called her toward it. At first it was intrigue and curiosity, but upon speaking with one, she began to see things differently.

It took her months to decide, still tending her routine of healing and preaching, but Saphuu's heart simply wasn't in it. Her faith was strong, but she lacked a will to wield it, and finally, one day, Saphuu stepped away from the Light all together in search of a proper Shamanistic master. She didn't turn her back, still believing in the philosophies rather strongly, but something about it simply wasn't for her.

When the time came to take the Exodar, Saphuu was a formidable Shaman in her own right. She had balanced the desires of the Elements as best she could, and was ready to leave her home, to help the people who needed her more than the land did.

Upon the revelation that the Exodar had been sabotaged, she made her way to wherever she could, as did all of the others. The final jolting explosion and subsequent ejection utterly threw her beyond the realm of consciousness, and when she finally awoke, it was to the sound of an ocean against a shore, something she had only heard a handful of times in her life.

Now it was different. Now she heard it not as a curious child or an Anchorite who only saw water. She heard its chorus, its call. She could understand the feel and life of the ocean. She did not know where she was, but she knew that she was with a friend.

Skills and Abilities

Water Affinity: Saphuu is most skilled in working with the spirit of Water, and as such she's more adept at healing and using Water for shielding and offensive purposes, but on the opposite end of that her relations with Fire are strained, minimizing her capacity to properly wield it. She can, if there is great need, but overall her requests go unanswered or outright denied, while her relations with Earth and Air are conducted considerably more balanced and amiable.
