Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: His set of armor is rather thick and protective, made out of thick cloth perhaps reinforced with leather parts covering his body nicely so that Sain won't have trouble with the environment. The armor doesn't protect well from swords or anything along those lines however, being nowhere close to leather in durability. His cloak hangs from around his clavicle and covers his shoulders, it is noticeably wide covering his shoulders, it hides his arms as well most of the time but it lacks a hood. The cloak is of high quality and rather flamboyant in design almost reaching the ground in length but it is rather thin. His chest is covered by a Sunreaver tabard which goes well with the cloak, being very similar in design. The armor itself is enchanted and will adjust it's temperature on owner's whim, it could prove invaluable in the harsh regions such as Northrend or Tanaris. His cloak is also enchanted to be resistant to fire, however that does not mean the owner is granted fire immunity just by hiding behind the cloak.

Other: A rather large phoenix with it's wings spread is tattooed on Sain's upper back.

Personality

Sain is a rather bold strong willed individual, he fights for what he believes in, some may say he is also rather stubborn. One way or another he is a very polite individual and properly educated, hardly ever slipping to say something improper. He is confident and does his best to be a figure worth looking up at providing his position within the city. He taught himself to be cautious after so many years of politics, he remains rational and would think about the reactions before making a move.

He still doesn't have a good reason to feel safe, the events of the third war still fresh in his memory, and they still give him nightmares now and then. He does his best for the Sin'dorei, being a rather altruistic individual. He is not the type that would always go out of his way to help someone. Regardless of his status he is still a sociable individual and can be easily approached, rarely turning down a conversation.

Alignment: Lawful Good

History

Sain had the luck to be born in the Archlight family, one of the wealthiest and oldest families as the third and last son, he already had two older sisters at that time. Their ancestors were among the first Highbornes to sail from Kalimdor and help with the foundation of Silvermoon. The Archlight family is held in quite high regards within Silvermoon even if they are not nobles, they helped the noble houses in the past and most of the family members are either high ranked officers and magisters. Sain had nothing to worry about in his childhood, his parents were both magisters and they always tried to pass it down to their children, the two girls however didn't seem very interested in the arcane arts, they both were far more interested in bows and arrows, soon enough becoming two successful Farstriders. Sain however seemed naturally gifted when it came to using arcane, his parents were more than happy to see that and decided to focus a lot of their attentions on the child, they just couldn't wait for him to grow old enough so they can start training him. He spent the early years of his life receiving good education among nobles and other kids with wealthy parents.

He soon enough came of age, he was about eighteen years old when his father began to teach him about the arcane. Sain was a fast learner and naturally good at it which made teaching the young man a pleasure. He continued his training until the age of 121, at that time he was already a well educated young mage, becoming a magister roughly one hundred years after his training was complete. As magister he was forced to get into politics but he didn't seem to mind, with tips from his parents and thanks to his family's renown, he didn't have any problems. Sain continued to focus on his career for the next few hundreds years, soon enough becoming a rather known magister. However he was not particularly lucky when it came to his personal life, never meeting a mate, he was rarely even seen with female company that isn't related to work.

Hundreds of years later the orcish horde came into Azeroth, words of the first war already got to Silvermoon but like most of his race, Sain didn't get involved, remaining in Silvermoon. Words of Stormwind's fall also got to Sain's ears and that was the moment when he got a bit worried, he remained in Silvermoon however as he cared far more about the Quel'dorei. The second war came soon enough however and human emissaries seemed to flood Silvermoon, begging for the Quel'dorei help. Sain was one of the ones that had to deal with the emissaries. The high king finally made his mind and the Quel'dorei had to go to war, aiding the humans. Sain was sent to Lordaeron part of a diplomatic team and remained there. Lordaeron was soon enough under siege however and made the communication between Lordaeron and Silvermoon a bit more complicated as messager birds were being shot down by the orcish army.

The time to break the siege was drawing near as Gul'dan pulled away two orcish clans from the siege. Sain joined the forces which liberation forces with the approval of the other members of the team. The reason behind this was a bit political as well, trying to prove that the Quel'dorei value their human allies and would not shy away from combat even if they were just there as emissaries. Sain proved that he was capable of fighting and that he was not just a politician. He came out of the battle unharmed, managing to take the lives of a few orcs. He returned to Lordaeron and remained there for a few more years after the Dark Portal was destroyed before finally returning to Silvermoon where he resumed his work.

Arthas returns to Lordaeron as the Lich King, slaying his father before marching towards Silvermoon. Sain hears about it but it was a bit too late, Arthas was already close to the Quel'dorei city. Sain was within the Sunwell Plateau aiding with the Thalassian defense when Dar'Khan Drathir began murdering magisters. Sain was lucky however and made it out of Silvermoon as it fell to the Scourge, remaining with the survivors until Kael'thas returned to Quel'thalas. Sain did his best to maintain his sanity as he saw Silvermoon in ruins and most of his race dead. He followed Kael'thas when he returned to Quel'thalas seeking to avenge the ones which died when the city fell. He soon enough became less fond of humans after seeing how Garithos treated the Sin'dorei. Sain followed Kael'thas to Outland where Kael'thas pledged allegiance to Illidan. His hunger was sated as he was taught how to siphon magic energy from alternative sources. That was when Sain learned about fel, he began training into manipulating the new far more powerful energy. He was soon enough capable of using fel in his spells, found himself wielding darker magic, soon to be called a Blood Mage. He was sent back to Silvermoon to teach the ones left behind and rebuild the city to it's former glory along with his fellow magisters. He met his family within Silvermoon, he was happy to learn that they were all unharmed.

Not long afterwards words of Kael'thas' dark ambitions reached Silvermoon and soon enough Sain found himself fighting once again, this time on the Isle of Quel'danas against the dark prince. Kael'thas was slain soon enough as the Sin'dorei establish an even stronger bond with their former enemies, the Horde. Not much time passes until Sain went to Dalaran along with other emissaries to aid the Sunreavers in their attempt at securing a position for the blood elves within Kirin'tor. He remained in Dalaran, becoming a member of the Sunreavers. He remained there for the most part taking care of the Sin'dorei interests until the Lich King was slain. Sain returned to Silvermoon a few months after the war was over. He still makes trips to Dalaran acting as one of the connections between Silvermoon and the Sunreavers but he spends most of his time around Silvermoon.

Skills and Abilities

Sain has taken the path of the Blood Magi which turned him to the darker part of arcane. He uses fel energy to further empower his pyromancy.

Drain mana: After hundreds of years spent studying the arcane Sain learned to siphon magical energy from other individuals in order to replenish his own energy pool.

Summon Phoenix: One of Sain's most powerful spells is the invocation of a phoenix. He is able to summon forth a large Phoenix from the elemental plane to help him dire situations, the phoenix has a mind of it's own and cannot be tamed by the Blood Mage. The Phoenix will always return to the elemental plane once his summoner is out of harm or once the battle is over. The invocation exhausts Sain most of the time no matter the aid coming from his verdant spheres.

Banish: Sain learned to banish demons and elementals alike, he often uses this spell on warlock minions as it proved to be very effective against demonologists. He has yet to use it on an abberation.

Verdant Spheres: Sain is in possession of two verdant spheres which store the life essence of the slain demons. The spheres enhance Sain's fire based spells. He rarely displays the spheres when outside of combat.
