Personality: Ruvok is blunt, sarcastic, and quite sadistic. He displays little respect for authority and says whatever is on his mind, regardless of whether or not it is appropriate. Ruvok is a very rude and disrespectful character. He surprisingly has some form of a code of honor, as he is unwilling to fight an injured, defenseless person. He is even willing to go and get a healer to heal someone in order for it to be a fair fight.

Although he's known to be a violent fighter, Ruvok's actions tend to be for the best. He has been shown to be very perceptive to his surroundings. Despite his tendency to be brutal, the orc usually stops a fight if his opponent is too injured to fight back, however, he will unhesitatingly kill his opponent if they refuse to end their fight. Irrational to a certain extent, he exhibits a wide range of traits, being: bloodthirsty, rebellious, empathetic, and wise.

Despite his aggression and obvious bloodlust in battle, he possesses a feral cunning and has a knack for quickly exploiting any opening his opponent reveals.

History: Ruvok was born during the First War, when the orcs invaded Azeroth from the Dark Portal. Therefore, his childhood was rather chaotic. Only a few months after he was born, his mother left to go and fight in the war. He was left with one of the elderly of the Dragonmaw Clan. He grew up around many of the Warlocks, learning the history and sadistic nature of the 'new' Horde. It was not long until the First War was a success for the Horde. Stormwind belonged to the Horde. However, a warlock brought Ruvok to the Stormwind and 'educated' him on the power of the Horde, through example. They spent several months in the ruined city, pillaging anything useful and teaching the young orc anything and everything about killing. It was there, they were captured.

But at the age of six, Ruvok found himself trapped. In one of the human internment camps. Why he was there, he did not totally understand, but to say the least, he was extremely unhappy. Instead of being lethargic and lazy like the others, he was extremely passively aggressive. The other orcs seemed to ignore him, except during dinner, where they filled a trough full of pig feed and scraps of meat. He was lucky to have food for the night. The only real attention he ever received was from the humans in the form of whips or clubs.

He heard no news from the outside world and grew up brooding and hateful in the camp. He found himself slowly becoming lethargic, even though he fought this with his entire being. He had been taught the Horde was invincible and all enemies would fall to them. This couldn't possibly happen to them, could it?

Suddenly, the earth quaked and he could smell smoke. Guards rushed up the stairs from the dungeon and it wasn't long before he heard them scream. He found himself grinning malevolently. He had never been so happy to see another non-lethargic orc, who rushed down the stairs and began to smack the iron bar door with his warhammer. He yelled at them to get out, before the whole building was brought down on them. Ruvok was first out the door, to the top of the stairs and out of the building. He smiled as he glanced around at all the dead humans. What a beautiful sight...

He soon met the leaders of this 'revolution', a strange being known as Thrall the shaman, Grom Hellscream the chieftain of the Warsong Clan and the famous Orgrim Doomhammer. Ruvok was ecstatic to work with the third of these orcs, but was soon instructed on the 'true' shamanistic heritage of the orcs. Although he disagreed, he kept his opinions to himself for the moment and decided to humour the other shaman. However, he found that he was better at using his fists/fist weapons that communing with the elements. They didn't want to speak with him, and they let him know. He simply dismissed the elements as weak and continued to work with the 'new' Horde. With the death of Orgrim Doomhammer, Ruvok looked to Grom Hellscream. At least, he knew of this orc more than the strange Thrall.

He followed Grom and Thrall across the sea to Kalimdor and he accepted the Trolls of the Lost Isles into the Horde, even though they were not physically strong, he saw that they had plenty of cunning. Not to mention, they were quick with an arrow. Arriving into Kalimdor, he was thrust into the Third War and although he was forced to work with humans, he simply ignored them most of the time. But, as history tells, the war was won and the orcs retreated to Durotar, where they began construction of Orgrimmar. But, Ruvok had other plans in mind.

Ruvok planned a journey and headed south. Crossing the savannahs of the Barrens, the massive canyons of Thousand Needles, the hot desert of Tanaris and the past world of Un'goro, before finding his way to Silithus. There, he found the Twilight's hammer. He lied to them, telling them that he stowed away on the orcish ships and have been wandering since the war. Although they were skeptical, they invited him to practice. It is here, he learned the ritual to bind the elements to his will. However, he found it extremely difficult to bind Water. It was not long before he gave up, dismissing the element as the most cowardly and weak of elements. He learned the Twilight mantra and has since adopted it it as his own...

In the beginning was shadow eternal. Hate blazed forth, and Fire was born. Wounds scabbed, and so begat Earth. Cries of anguish birthed howling Wind. Wherein the skies wept seas of Tears. We live in the shadow, The world we know Built of rage, hurt, anguish and sorrow.

Upon learning his new abilities, he was sent with a small group to go and search the Scarab Gates. It was here, that he challenged their 'loyalty' to the cult and killed them. Satisfied with his abilities, but hiding them, he returned to Orgrimmar, evading all comers, and opened up a small gym, where he trained younglings to fight hand-to-hand. Although he was considered brutal in his training, he didn't seem to care much. He continued his gym until the Dark Portal was opened.

He ventured into the portal and spent much of his time hunting demons and honing his abilities. Here, he discovered the Mag'har and their thoughts on shamanism. Although he remained discreet about his powers, he was not so quiet about how they were foolish to commune with the elements, rather than command them. They blew him off, naturally and tried to get him to turn to their way of thinking, which is about as impossible as eating the entire Dalaran library.

He spent the next several years exploring Outland and did not help nor care about the Lich King and his invasion. Recently, he has returned to Azeroth, toughened and wizened by the time in his people' old homeland.
