  • Agile: Roberto has taken part in enough ship battles on the high seas to pick up a few abilities, as well as just improving his agility all around. The cannonball cannot kill you if you are not hit by it.
  • Swordplay: Roberto has grown quite fond of the cutlass, mastering their ways to a degree to dual-wield them in battle with expert skill.
  • El Capitán: Roberto is the Captain of the Endeavor and has been for close to ten years now. He's ruled his ship with a cruel fairness, punishing those that deserve it, albeit in very harsh ways.

Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Wears normal clothing, mostly stained with salt water, alcohol, and whatnot.

Other: Has a twin pair of battle-worn cutlasses, as well as four (shoddy at best) flintlock pistols; two strapped to his hips, two strapped to his chest.

Personality

Roberto is a ruthless man, unsavory, uncultured, and mean to all, save his crew. He's a murderer, a thief, and 'ladykiller'. He's been a pirate since he was a boy of fifteen; thus learning all of the tricks of the trade, and the attitude that grows with them. He's distrustful of anyone with the Law behind them, believing that all men should be left to their own devices. Roberto is very much so a free-spirit.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

History

Roberto was born in a small shanty town in Kul Tiras, not far from the capital. His childhood was plain and dull and crushingly boring and painful, taking to begging most nights just for scraps. When he was seven his father died fighting the Horde in the South, and later when he was fifteen his mother died of a plague that swept over the country.

Roberto had had enough living in the poorness that surrounded him, eventually leaving the few belongings he had. He had signed himself onto a small merchant freighter that sailed around Baradin Bay. It was an alright ship, but once he fell into the sway of things, life was boring again. At least until he saw a strange ship approaching from the distance.

The roaring of thunder, the whistling of ordinance, the creaking of timber. Roberto was terrified, but could have never asked for such excitement in his life! This strange ship, a pirate ship, had completely decimated any man that picked up a sword to defend the freighter. Roberto, as well as a few survivors, were rounded up and lined up on the deck of the ship.

The anticipation was terrible as the Captain, a dreadful looking man, paced back and forth, talking about freedom and adventure and riches to any man that joined his crew on the Queen Wrynn's Revenge. Roberto hastily accepted, eagerly wanting to join this new exciting life! The others refused and, much to Roberto's surprise, had their throats slit and were tossed overboard as the pirates ransacked the ship.

For four years, Roberto served on the Queen Wrynn's Revenge, molding into the same scurvy type that roamed the waters of the Baradin Bay and the South Seas. Young Roberto had grown bold, his Captain seeing in the lad a bit of himself at that age. Roberto and a small group of mates from the Queen Wrynn sneaked their way onto a brigantine that was sitting in the harbor at Southshore.

Her masts were great and tall, sails adorned with the colors and crest of Lordaeron. Great flags of nations waving gracefully in the sea breeze as lanterns lit up her quiet deck. In a rosewood plaque was written Endeavor. Roberto and his mates scurried up the port side, taking any man on board down as quiet as mice. The lines were pulled in, the anchor weighed; the Endeavor set sail in the wee hours of the morning.

From there Roberto, now Captain Alcantra, plundered the High Seas with a vicious attitude. Ships he overtook were looted, their crews given but one chance to join his own; there were never any survivors.

This "Horde-Alliance War", however, was proving to make things difficult. The Freebooters and Buccaneers of all oceans were feeling the pressures of a strong wartime Alliance Navy, Roberto grew concerned and sent messages to Stormwind. In return for pardons for himself and his crew, The Endeavor would sail under Alliance colors as a privateer ship. Before long, Stormwind agreed, assigning a handler to the ship to keep it in check, making sure that the pirates followed their one and only rule: No targeting Alliance vessels of any kind.

From that point on the Endeavor, with Roberto as her Captain, has sailed the South Seas plundering Horde Navy Regulars, Goblin cargo ships, and neutral vessels alike.
