Riveron was once by far a most cheery and life-loving individual. He saught happiness and peace wherever he travels. Now, he finds himself much more reserved and remains quiet most of the time.

History

Emberlight. An age old house of Arcanists, Paladins, and Priests. Once a noble house, they sacrificed their wealth to better serve the other houses of Silvermoon.

They acted as a safeguard for the people, specializing themselves in all forms of protective and support spellweaving, even developing a house crest that acted as a glyph of shielding.

To have an Emberlight guard as one of your guards was considered a status symbol, everyone who was anyone knew the name Emberlight and what it meant to have one within your ranks.

As time wore on, the second patriarch of the Emberlight family was struck down by a mercenary hired to end the life of his sacred charge. He gave his life so that the protected could escape with their life, an honorable death. The heir to the position as head of household was a young man by the name of Riveron, the eldest of two siblings.

Named for his mothers love of ice-skating down the Elrendar River on bare feet, Riveron Elrendar Emberlight would be the first Protectorate Lightbringer to join the house hierarchy, adding a third house title to the first two: Protectorate Shieldbearers, the warriors and later paladins of the house guard, and the Protectorate Arcanists, who used both Arcane and Frost magics to create walls and barriers with a precision and grace that made them so desired.

During Riveron's time as patriarch, he helped his sister, as of yet unnamed, create a new crest for the house, a six pointed sigil that could be charged with magic of any school, which would then call forth barriers of the given energy, six in total, with a combined surface area large enough to protect as many as could live within their houshold at any given time.

This sigil would be engraved upon every surface, ingrained into the mind of every Emberlight as a symbol of their devotion to the protection of life and hope, for any and all who would call on the Emberlight household for aid.

Under Riveron's guidance, the household would see it's best days, a time of peace an prosperity for all High Elves. All was right with the world and the magic within it. A sect of runewardens was formed within the house, who would later move on to help in the efforts of bringing magic to the human race.

It would not be long before their life of secluded peace would end, however. As news reached the capitol of the encroaching hordes of undead Scourge, the Emberlights, under Riveron's command, drew together at their estate just outside Fairbreeze. Marking each with the family crest, he sent them, one by one, into each join a troupe of Thalassian soldiers, who they were to take on as their charges. As the battle began, there was a notable presence of the house sigil on the battlefield, "shields of ice, of flame, of holy light and the brilliance of pure arcane'. As each barrier fell, another rose to take it's place, but even the Emberlight protectors were no match for the might of the scourge at full force. Of the sixty Emberlights who went to war that day, only a handful survived. Riveron, seeing the futility in the situation, covered the escape of as many of his people as he could, few though they were, and ensured their safe travel back to the remote, untouched corners of the land.

As the remaining Emberlights sifted through the aftermath of their homeland's destruction, they stumbled upon the ruins of their once glorious estate, the rubble of their home. With next to no money and no way to support them, Riveron moved what was left of his family into Silvermoon. The house as a whole refused to draw in fel, communing daily to meditate and supplement their addictions with Bloodthistle, a family tradition that they practice today, despite the sunwell's restoration and the new airs of magic, ripe for the picking. Their eyes remain a gently cyan tinged green as a reminder of their devotion.

In the recent months, Riveron has lost his grasp upon the light and has taken to a more simple path of medicine. This is much to his great dismay, but he hides his sorrow well, masking it with hope that he may soon regain control of his once fabled power. For now, he carries many bandoliers of herbs and tinctures for every ailment.
