History

Riddler was born and raised out in the wilderness as a single child, a small home built outside of Goldshire. His father was a hunter and leatherworker, going out daily to hunt boar and wolf, bringing back meat and pelts for food and warmth, anything additional was sold in Goldshire or Stormwind. Riddler learned everything he knew about survival and trapping from his father, even helping him from time to time. This was a life that Riddler could live with, until the orc's came.

The Orcish Horde ravaged across Elwynn, even though the army was headed for Stormwind, nothing was left in the wake of their destruction. To protect his family, Riddler and his mother ran to Stormwind while his father bought him time. This was the last he saw of his father, something that Riddler to this day still holds a grudge against, however even Stormwind wasn't safe. Riddler and his mother ran with the other citizens to Lordaeron, where he grew up and set about getting straight to work.

Now of age, Riddler joined the ranks of the marksman in the Alliance army, preferring a rifle over a crossbow, and helped defend Lordaeron's borders from Horde raid parties until the end of the Second War. Riddler's next trial however would the forthcoming Third War, and the sudden encroachment of the Undead, which sadly took his mother's life after she was caught out and killed, ravaged and eaten by Ghouls. Riddler, now seeking vengeance against another enemy, aided in the Battle of Andorhal, before moving off with Uther and Jaina when Arthas made his choice to cull Stratholme. After that, Riddler formed up with Jaina Proudmoore's army as they crossed over to Kalimdor for the Great Battle of Hyjal. Riddler and the rest Jaina's forces held the base for as long as they could, before it fell to Archimonde's relentless onslaught, of which a Ghoul managed to slip past the Guardsman and claw out one of Riddler's eyes, before he managed to retaliate and shoot the monstrosity clean in the head. Riddler and any remaining alive members of Theramore's Army then were teleported to safety by Jaina's spell.

After the war, Riddler spent most of his time within Theramore, before hearing rumors about a group that were asking for aid in retaking Lordaeron. Eager to get back at the Undead for killing his mother, Riddler constructed his rifle, "Bonecarver", from his earnings for his deeds before seeking out the Scarlet Crusade and pledging himself to their cause. He resided within the Scarlet Enclave for a long time before the arrival of Archeus. Riddler didn't wish to leave, bloodlusting for the death of the Scourge, however his sense of duty managed to drag him to an even greater goal, sailing to Northrend and taking the fight to them.

The Scarlet's brainwashing made Riddler into a bane against the Undead, as he aided in taking out many of the Scourge's forces as they landed and constructed New Hearthglen. It was here that Riddler befriended the Scarlet Crusader, Gavner Branson. Sharp-witted Riddler decided it was best to stick with Gavner for the coming battles ahead, before leaving Northrend when everything went south for the Crusade. Riddler lost contact briefly with Gavner, as he tried to live a normal life again as a huntsman and leatherworker, but the things he saw in Northrend and the vengeance burning within his heart did not allow him to simply stay put.

After the Cataclysm, Riddler ventured forward to find any remaining members of the Scarlet Crusade, eventually finding Gavner again, though not on the "best" of terms. Even with the loss of Stratholme and the many members of the Crusade being lost to Balnazzar, as well as Hearthglen being given to the Argent Crusade, Riddler still has hope within the Light of the Scarlet Crusade, his "Bonecarver's" sight set and aimed at the races who stand in the way of him and the remnants of the Undead that plague the world.
