Personality

Redis is very youthful when he speaks, he is very casual and friendly around people he knows, but turns respectful when met with figures of power and leadership. He's a book worm, a sponge to anything and everything he reads. He holds all that information in his head, which throws him off socially, as he might randomly break out in facts about a related topic.

He shows clear signs of being nervous when he rubs his neck, but can be seen in thought when he scratches his chin.

His actions, however, are very twisted. He's taken an interest in Necromancy, and will do much to gain anything that might lead him closer to unlocking the powers of Death Magic.

History

Redis was born in an unknown location, most likely in Southshore, as he was quickly taken to Dalaran as a baby to be raised as a Mage. Redis never found out who his parents were, other than they dumped him at Dalaran's gates shortly after he was born. The Mages quickly took him in, raised him, and set him up for classes to study and learn the arcane.

Redis was a bit of an outcast among his peers, staying in his room or the library to read books when he had free time. They often ignored him, as he wished it. So, Redis was left to his studies, and long talks with Archmages about questions that he had. Redis grew a mind that was full of information, that served as mental barriers against any enemies who would attempt to enter his mind.

Over time, he would hear about news of the world's events, such as the victory over the Orcs and their imprisonment. Redis did not care about the war, as it barely effected him, but he was interested in the Orcs' Lethargy. He studied briefly into it, but left it alone as he could not find any answers.

When rumors said that a New Horde was destroying the camps that held Orc prisoners, Redis became worried that Dalaran might be attacked. His worries were increased when the Archmage Kel'Thuzad, left Dalaran, selling everything he had. Redis knew he studied in Necromancy, and wondered if it was related.

He stole any copies he could find that had anything to do with Necromancy, and that's when it sparked something inside of him. Very curious about raising the dead, and having them completely at his will, he pressed his searches more until he heard about a 'Death Cult' appearing in the north. Knowing the powers of Death Magic, Redis knew that it was a matter of time before this cult does something drastic. Redis left Dalaran, against the will of his teacher, for Stormwind.

He lived there for a few years, studying about Necromancy in private, and working with the mages there. It wasn't until he heard about a group of Fel and Shadow users that he decided to try to take a more direct approach in his studies. Spying on a few members, he was caught by the leader of the group, Sagi. Not very fond of spies, he had Redis to be exposed to fel-blood once taken to a safe location, quickly giving Redis a lust and hunger for Fel magic.

Unable to fight back, Redis was forcefully given an addiction to Fel. Redis, attempting to quell his lust and hunger by learning and using Fel magic, was shocked to find out that Fel could do nothing to raise undead, or be used for anything related to Necromancy. Angered by the major set-back, Redis now attempts to drive off the addiction of Fel by slowly stopping use of it, in order to focus on more arcane magic surrounding Arcane Fire.
