Personality

Nigel is good-natured gnome, trusting and loyal to his friends. The only times he shows another side of him, is when his inventions don't work sometimes resorting to hitting them, or when he talks about troggs and what happened at Gnomeregan. He is prone to day dreaming and coming up with outlandish ideas. He often nods off when he allows himself to sit down, never usually getting a full night sleep. He is very determined never giving up on a project till it works the way he wants it to.

History

He was born in Gnomeregan and grew up tinkering and learning like most gnomes. He parents would often only give him parts of toys rather the toy it self, allowing him to learn to build and customize it him self. He loved to build, and soon his toys turned into more sophisticated inventions eventually finding that he really enjoyed making small mechs. First they had wired controls, then he learned the power of radio waves making radio controlled mech bots. Eventually being able to give them simple programming, so they could do things on there own and follow voice commands. By the time he was thirty he hand become quite good and making the small mech bots and gained the name Steambot from his work on a steam-powered mech that he had program to follow him around and retrieve items for him. He named it Mic.

It was a few years later that the Gnomeregan was betrayed by Thermaplugg and taken over by troggs. Nigel was able to make out Gnomeregan before the radiation, barley. He Parents gave him a head start but they them selves never making it out before they were over run by troggs. He even lost Mic having to send him back to trip up a trogg so he could make it out alive. When he got out of Gnomeregan he kept running ashamed he did not do any thing to help. He did not stop at Ironforge, and continue on to Stormwind. He did not want to see the his fellow Gnomes for fear that he would see some one he knew and would have to admit to leaving his love ones behind. He took care of him self in Stormwind and made a small living by making toys and trinkets to sell but has not attempted to make anything like Mic. Not wanting to be reminded of what he had lost.

It was not until he heard of the Gnomish Special Forces did he snap out of his depression. He felt he needed to redeem him self he needed to all he could to get his city back, to honor those that allowed him to live. He traveled to Ironforge and sought out the GSF and proved himself as an engineer and joined their R&D department. He jumped at the chance to help them and his first invention for them was a Radio. Getting the idea from his old radio controlled mechs but on a much larger and complicated scale. He now does every thing he can to help the GSF's cause always trying to think of ways to help them. He secretly wants to do more than just build things for them and has taken up learning explosives, though has yet to use any on an enemy. He has also asked Van to teach him the gun but is wondering if he will ever have the guts to shoot or blow someone up.
