Naraith can often be seen as a blood-thirsty, intimidating, dark horse. He can also tend to show a softer side at times... but only to people who mean a lot to him, and even that can be cut short if he sees that it may jeopardize himself. He's always looking for ways to perfect his combat skills, most of which he has been taught by the Defias Brotherhood and himself.

History

Naraith Atlin was born in Westfall initially on a farmstead with his parents living an ordinary farm childhood. He was always helping out his parents in the fields or in the farmhouse helping with an assortment of chores. What he did not know was that his parents owed a lot of gold to a man that owned their land and he was very dangerous. With no knowledge of this and all that hard work as a child, made his free time even more deserved and he took full advantage of that. He was often off wandering by himself, he was always a lone wolf as one would say.

One day he strayed a bit further from home and found himself on the outskirts of Duskwood where he ran into a group of dark individuals wielding daggers, swords, and staves. At the time Naraith was only 15 years old and no where near capable of defending himself against these thugs. They started surrounding Naraith, pushing him and cornering him so he had no where to run.

“Hey boy, have you ever used one of these?” As the thug dug his sword into the ground and left it there. “Try it. Go on... grab it. Let's see what you've got.”

Naraith immediately ran for the sword and pulled it out of the ground raising it to the thugs and swiping mindlessly at them. “Get back! Don't come any closer!”

The thug ignored him and continued closer with his other sword drawn towards Naraith as he let out a loud yell and swung at him knocking the sword out of Naraith's hand. The thug laughed, and then ended abruptly “You need some work... but the anger and lack of fear in you shows potential.”

Naraith still showing anger in his face, he clenched his fists tightly as he charged towards the thug to hit him. As he began to charge another thug began moving his hands like he has never seen and before Naraith could hit the other thug he was slowed in his tracks by some sort of power and was eventually pushed back onto the ground unable to move and in terrible pain while the thug channelled his spell against him. The thug with the swords watched as Naraith lay on the ground in agony.

“Alright, that's enough. Stop the spell.” The spell continued as Naraith's hair began turning grey, almost white. “I said enough!” The thug then threw his sword at the thug casting the spell, killing him. He then knelt down beside Naraith and told him to seek him out in Moonbrook if he wished to be trained. They then left him there.

Naraith eventually built up the strength to get up and walk home to find his home up in flames and his parents nowhere in sight. He ran as fast as he could yelling for his mother and father, with no answer back. He couldn't find a way into the house and in his condition was very weak and eventually collapsed.

When he woke up in the morning to his burnt down home, the flames had extinguished themselves enough for him to look for his parents inside the house where he saw two burnt bodies. His parents had been tied up inside the house while it was set on fire. Instead of sadness all he felt was anger and the need for revenge he had to find out why this happened and had to become strong enough to kill whoever did it.

He set off for Moonbrook to train with the thug and eventually became a trained killer for who he later found out was the Defias Brotherhood led by Edwin VanCleef the stone mason who helped with the construction of Stormwind. Naraith's allegiance to the Defias Brotherhood went even deeper than just a red mask over his face. Many of the Defias started tattooing a cog on their hands to further indicate their loyalty, which Naraith also did.

He became one of the most skilled killer's within the ranks until one day he received an anonymous letter revealing that it was VanCleef who ordered the murder of his parents and the burning of his home. Naraith became enraged with anger and revenge once again and secretly left the Brotherhood planning to return one day to exact his revenge over VanCleef and the Brotherhood.

Today he continues to train and ultimately plans to hang VanCleef's head on his wall. He doesn't know whether that spell used on him when he was younger changed him or if the anger and lust for revenge turned him into the deadly foe he is today with an inability to show remorse, guilt, and a general lack of concern for the effect or actions taken against others.
