Character Full Name: Naphilia Travados (Na-feel-ia /// Tra-va-does)

Character In-Game Name: Naphilia

Nickname(s): Naphilia , Naphie, Trava,

Association(s): Blood Elves, Sindorei, Silvermoon City

Race: Blood Elf

Class: Priest

Skills & Abilities: She has been trained in both sides of priest-hood, and as of late has turned to her shadow-priest training. She is not extremely skilled in either schools, but is moderately trained. She has a bond to her Shadowfiend by which she has named it Ryduken. It basically feeds off her life-force to do anything beyond stand there. Which in turn leaves Naphilia weak relatively a lot of the time. Along with this, she has a great strength in controlling her shadow-form. Which covers her in a misty form, before taking full control of her form.

Age: 124

Sex: Female

Hair: Darkened red/Crimson

Eyes: Bright Green eyes, Small pupil

Weight: 125 lbs

Height: 5'8

Appearance

In everyday situations she will wear a standard dress or robe, with thin leggings and sandals. No gloves unless she fights. Occasionally she will wear sandals and shorts with a belly shirt blouse. In a combat situation she will wear her priestess's robe set (robe, cloth boots, gloves, leggings, wand, staff, with a dagger or sword for backup.) She doesn't seem attached to any particular staff and will switch them around whenever she likes.

Combat traits: She is inexperienced in combat and weak with most weapons, but she is a decent runner. Combat gives her a much more selfish personality. (She is concerned for her own life and welfare first. Against that, a combatant's life is less important.) Other: Naphilia has a figure like that of many young Blood Elf females: taller than that of Human females, and appropriately curvy for her height and weight. She has a larger-than-average chest, but is too polite to wear revealing clothing unless she is in a hot climate with no other form of relief. Her hair is straight and always seems to be well-styled (she's fussy about keeping it that way).

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Naphilia is a very talkative, outgoing person around most other people (particularly Sin'dorei). She has a zeal for life like that of most young individuals, greeting each (pleasant) event in her life eagerly, and meeting the less-pleasant ones in a head-on challenge. Being a priestess, she has a strict moral code and will speak out against needless violence and lack of morality whenever it appears - regardless of the consequences.

She says she believes people are naturally good unless driven to act poorly, but she knows differently from her life experience. She is also suspicious of men in general, treating them poorly in several ways (ignoring them in favor of talking to other women, assuming that many are individuals with just one purpose, trusting them less, and sometimes even discriminating against them outright). This is offset very strangely by her views on romance. She is a romantic person, believing in the concepts of marriage and true love. Even though she is distrustful of most men, she is convinced that there are a few good ones in the world, and all she needs to do is find one. This leads to some interesting results in everyday life (that is putting it mildly). She is often clingy towards her love interests, believing that he/they will be harmed somehow if they are apart for too long.

During her time as a priestess-in-training she had a lot of access to paper/parchment. She grew used to drawing, painting, and writing whenever she felt like it. To this day she loves to practice all of those in her spare time (especially when stressed or unhappy, since the familiarity comforts her). She is also beginning to try out jewelcrafting. Because she is already familiar with detailed work, she has had some success with jewelcrafting. She enjoys wearing her own jewelry too, but not for adornment: because she is proud of what she makes.

History

In the years before Naphilia's birth her family was of the lowest section of nobles within the city of Silvermoon, this all carried out from the hard work of her grandfather, who over time was able to bring his family into a strong position compared to their past, and over time brought his small family wealth, and a new found pride. Over the years he'd follow the general views of the noble circles, avoiding any ways of causing his families sudden disapproval by the others within the city.

In the years of Naphilia's childhood, a large controversy had come into discussion between the nobility. Many words were shared on the subject, which was rumored to have something to do with a relativity to 'cloning' one's self in a matter of speaking. Her grandfather was looking to the future, and saw the problems that could come about from this. He quickly spoke out against such an idea, saying it could lead to the very demise of their people if used incorrectly. This lead to a rather quick decay in the Travados' status, and overall brought them down to their class of peasantry by which they fought desperately to avoid.

Naphilia grew up in a moderately nice home in a settlement close to Silvermoon. Although her (enchanter) mother died shortly after the birth of Naphilia's brother, she was still very young and resilient against emotional trauma. Since she was an only sibling, she was left to live with her Farstrider father. He loved her very much, even going as far as finding a different job in the settlement to make sure he would be there to protect and care for her.

Perhaps it was a little too sheltered (she never learned combat or wilderness skills like many Farstrider's children seemed to do naturally), but they were both happy. Naphilia was a person who focused on education rather than the outdoors. Her trusting, faithful personality seemed to be an ideal match to a priest's: not overly foolish in the sense of 'street smarts', and good in many branches of study - neither of which detracted from her faith.

She began her priestess's education at the age of 61. She traveled to Silvermoon almost every morning by Hawkstrider to learn from one of the older priests, and spent the rest of the day there working and socializing with the other priest-students. Nor was her father forgotten - every day she had free from her training, she spent much of it with him (talking about priesthood, traveling the forests together, and sometimes, learning more about her mother (whom she was too young to remember)). The years passed happily like this, with Naphilia growing closer to true priesthood each year.

Later on she would experience the Siege of Silvermoon (she was in one of the northern towers along the Wall at the time, treating a diseased patient), and help the remaining Sin'dorei with the healings and psychological coping that most of them needed, but that one event remained more important to her than the Siege. It came to represent the loss of innocent happiness, after which everything bad in her life began to happen. Eventually she learned in a discussion between herself and another settlement citizen that the group of Raiders who killed Velos had been captured and sentenced to death.

During further investigation into the death of the raiders, she discovered a raise in shadow-magic. An art of the priests she'd heard a multitude on, but never truly looked into. After much research she yearned to learn this form of magic, feeling that her time as a priest, would be short-lived, without proper protection from any who deemed her a foe. Out of all forms of shadow-magic she found herself drawn to that of summoning a Shadow-fiend, her views on such a thing were of a protective companion, despite the true nature of a fiend.

She later moved south from Silvermoon to find a new place to continue her life. One where she could start over again.
