Personality: Molly is very kind to her friends and family, and very much enjoys the company of others. When she isn't socializing, she spends her time tinkering and building new machines. She is rather energetic and outgoing for her age, wanting to get the most fulfillment she can out her retirement. Part of that is spending time with others and going out on adventures.

She extends the same treatment that is given to her children to those outside of the family. Sometimes she hands out sweaters made from her sweater machine, or cookies magically conjured. She has a tendency to baby others, even if they are adults, but it's often done with good intentions.

History: Molly was born to a tinkering family in Gnomeregan. She was one of four children, all taking after their parents. Her childhood was typical of any gnome, really. She had a bunch of friends, she made a lot of toys and gadgets, and she wanted to make her parents proud.

When she grew up she married to another tinkering gnome named Trigger, who proposed to her with a gear-shaped locket, that had their picture inside. He told her how much he loved her, and how he made the trinket himself with the finest metals he could buy. She accepted his proposal and the two got married. They promised one another that they would stay together and one day see the world.

But that day never came. They had always been saying they would get out after they finished one of their projects and got the money for it. And then a child came along which would tie them down for another forty years... and then another child came along with that. And another, and another. It wasn't long before they had six children, and parenting became their big adventure.

Molly loved her children, and even though they kept her from leaving her home in Gnomeregan she was proud to be a mother and of the kids they raised. She saw a bit of herself in each child, they were like her when she was a kid. Trigger helped with the parenting too, though most of his time was spent tinkering to try and make some extra income for the kids.

After some time passed they too grew up, and each left the nest to start their own jobs and respective families. Then, Molly thought she would have the time to pursue her dreams, though the job didn't exactly end there. When the grandkids started to come, well, Molly really had to get inventive.

One gnome would not be enough to knit all the sweaters and bake the cookies needed for all her grandkids. However, Molly was clever, and put her free time to good use. She invented a sweater-knitting machine named “Love” so that the sweaters could be knitted with love. She also turned to studying arcane, partially so she could learn how to conjure cookies, but also so she could apply magic in helpful ways. By studying enchanting she managed to animate a broom and some other things to cover the domestic housework. With everything else taken care of she and Trigger could once more pursue their goal of seeing the world.

… or so she thought.

Before they could set off troggs invaded their home. Molly was rather surprised to see such monsters in the city of Gnomeregan. She tried to fend off the invading trogg with her arcane magic. The brooms also tried to beat them away. But another came, and so did another. Trigger would then burst into the kitchen hefting a hand-cannon. He would blast the troggs away, and told Molly to run with her family. She begged him to let her stay, but her husband refused. Finally he persuaded her to leave.

As she ran out the troggs were everywhere, and an explosion came from the workshop behind her. Trigger was caught in the explosion, and the sight was so upsetting and traumatic that Molly's heart stopped... literally. She blacked out, having suffered a heart attack. Fortunately some of the gnomes fighting back the troggs got to her in time, reviving her with a gnomish army knife and dragging her to safety.

In the aftermath Molly had learned that Trigger, one of her sons, a daught-in-law, and two of her children died. She was shocked and in grief that they were gone so quickly. She couldn't return to her irradiated home to retrieve anything of sentimental value. However, she was left as the sole matriarch to an extensive family of gnomes, a family that did their best to comfort and protect her in her most emotionally vulnerable time.

As the years passed Molly managed to resume a normal life. She had never fully recovered from her heart attack and her body wasn't getting any younger. Molly was a bit regretful that she didn't go to adventure like she promised she would with Trigger. However, she felt that perhaps it was not too late. She still had that love they shared, and she still had that locket that Trigger gave her. If he couldn't be there by her side in person, perhaps he was at least in spirit. With the love and inspiration Molly had gathered her things together and left her home. She went out to explore, and see places she hadn't seen before.
