History

Moirin Braveheart was born at Coldridge Valley in Anvilmar. His father Rybrad was a local blacksmith and his mother, named Thria, was a very good cook. He also had two older brothers of which one was 8 years old and the other 13; at the day he was born. Every afternoon Rybrad went out hunting for boar so his wife would have something to cook dinner with.

Moirin was just 10 years old when Thria was trying her best to get Moirin being a good cook. The only problem was that Moirin hated cooking and as soon Thria realized that, it didn't stop her at all! When Moirin was about 20 years old (which is very young for a dwarf) he said everyday to his mom he was going to play with his friends. But instead he went with his father to hunt! This went on for a few years, until one day, when Moirin was almost 27 years old, Thria got curious how his husband could hunt so she carefully followed Rybrad when he went to hunt again. When she saw her son shooting at boars with his father at his side she jumped out of the bushes. Rybrad and Moirin were shocked a bit and got quite scared when thinking of her reaction. But instead of getting angry she realized that getting her son to be a good cook would never work and now she saw how good he was at shooting she said that he should get in the army with such a great skill! Moirin really liked that idea because he heard such great stories from his two brothers who where already in the army and at his 30th birthday he was allowed to join the army of Ironforge.

When he reached Ironforge he asked to a guard where he should be if he wanted to join the army. The guard said he should see the guard overseer. "He's just outside the Throne room."; After a good conversation the overseer hired him and said he would start the next day. "Tonight you will sleep in Ironforge!" Moirin was so happy that he sent his parents a letter immediately. The next day however he heard from the overseer he would start joining a hunting party to get meat for the soldiers together with other recruits. He didn't really like that job because he had done that too much already but he though he would get promoted if the overseer saw his good way of using a gun.

On the 4th day the overseer realized that Moirin came home everyday with 3 times as much meat as the others, so he followed him on the 5th day and then knew Moirin had to be a soldier instead of a lame hunter. So of course he immediately put Moirin at a training class for Riflemen. Moirin was incredibly glad with this, and his performance still increased by the day. He also learned to be a great miner and blacksmith, because the army thought it could be really handy to have the dwarves master these skills.

On one day he reached the exams. After doing a great job Moirin graduated and he joined the army with the rank of Rookie Riflemen. At the time Moirin got 46 years old he had reached the rank of Riflemen captain and he was asked by Muradin Bronzebeard to accompany him on his expedition to Northrend; his mission was to claim the legendary sword Frostmourne, hidden somewhere in the passages of Northrend. He was really honored and accepted the mission, just like his two brothers who both only reached the rank of Riflemen soldier. Reaching Northrend they met a few undead at the shore and Muradin said he expected that there would be some. After a few weeks they met many undead, way more than Muradin had expected to find there. The whole party got separated into three groups, of which one remained at an outpost and another at the primary base camp. Sadly Moirin and his two brothers were separated from both sides and got lost while wandering through Northrend, trying to find their way out.

Soon their rifles got frozen and their fragile mechanisms broke. The dwarven blacksmithing skills allowed them to forge swords from the old rifles' steel and together they practiced and learned the skill of the sword. After a rough survival in the cold wilderness the three dwarves found a camp of hostile Ice Trolls. None were spared. The dwarves were lucky and found a ship there, though it wasn't very large, it was suitable enough for the three dwarves to get on open sea. After a long journey over the waves and across the sea, they arrived at the Booty Bay. They had been there before and knew the way back to their hometown of Ironforge.

Reaching Ironforge they went to the throne room to expect Muradin to be there so they could report their travels. But when they came into the throne room they saw Muradin's son Magni Bronzebeard on the throne. They heard from him the terrible thing that happened in Northrend to Muradin. He told them about Arthas, who claimed Frostmourne and slaughtered the undead in Northrend, and how Muradin died. After a big silence Magni asked the three brothers about their story, and they told Magni about everything they had been through. After that they where allowed to get a long rest, so the brothers used that time to go back to Coldridge Valley to see their parents again. After the big rest all three of the brothers came back to Ironforge to serve Magni. Moirin was tired of using guns because now he realized the disadvantages of it. He also disliked using a sword because he never got good at using it. But he was most attracted by the power of light; which was taught to the dwarves during the years Moirin was gone. Therefore he decided to become paladin in the service of Ironforge.
