Appearance

Mochla, when not going into battle, typically wears an assortment of belts and ropes around her upper-body, utilizing materials that could be easily salvaged and replaced. A pair of brown furs sit across her shoulders, attached to the belts there by crude studs. Simpler, leather straps wrap around her midsection and hold up a long skirt made of a green, canvas-like material. She carries a wooden staff on her person, which bears a few hand-carved words and names in Orcish. A sharpened piece of metal is attached at the top; it is not difficult to imagine its purpose. Robes with a more tribal or feral look to them are not such an uncommon thing with her either. When going into battle, Mochla's garb does not change much. She has never been one for heavy armor, trusting that she will be protected by the Elemental Spirits that guide her.

Other: Each of her ears are pierced in several locations, with small pieces of hewn bone serving as decoration within.

Personality

Mochla is generally quiet and stoic when not in battle, but speaks volumes through body language and obscure metaphor. She is not shy, but rather thoughtful, and will often listen rather than speak about herself. She often takes on the role of Advisor when socially interacting with others, and is full of wisdom and potential advice for those that care to seek her guidance.

Unfortunately for the people that come to ask for her help, Mochla will often respond to questions with more questions. They are often rhetorical questions that do not have correct or definitive answers. She is one of those people that believes right answers exist within the mind already, that some people just need help in finding the truth within themselves. In other words, Mochla enjoys philosophical discussions for the sake of making people think. A weak mind makes for a weak warrior, is her thought process.

Mochla cares quite a bit about her family and her Clan, the Earthshakers. When things threaten their livelihood, Mochla is quick to turn on what can only be described as her angry face. Not comical in the least, the Farseer will not hesitate to protect her loved ones. This is when she truly demonstrates her connection with the Elements, particularly Air, and brings down the lightening.

History

Mochla was born sixty-two years ago in one of Nagrand's many villages. Her mother, Zarga Wildfist, was prone to having romantic escapades and it was due to one of these that Mochla was created. Zarga kept her secrets throughout most of her lifetime, ashamed that she had been disloyal to her mate. She did not tell Mochla of her secret lusts, and instead lied about who her father actually was. Mochla did not know any better at the time, for her childhood was a busy one. There was not enough time to question trivial things such as minor differences in facial features. In fact, Mochla rarely studied other Orcs at all. She came to adore her surroundings and the natural world and much preferred this to the company of others.

Seeing that her daughter was taking a liking to Spirits, Zarga decided to help train her in the ways of the Shaman. Mochla's early life was thus spent learning the ways of shamanism: Interpreting dreams, revering the spirits through dance and song, and otherwise experiencing the wonders of the natural world. She would become both a friend and an accomplice to her mother's occasional mischief, while revering her “father” for his honor and strength.

The name Stormcaller was given to Mochla when she was still a child, for during one of her lessons with her mother, she called out to the spirits of the wind and sky with such fervor. Her mother had challenged her to summon a dark cloud in the otherwise empty heavens- Mochla accomplished that and more, seemingly, as a sudden thunderstorm came to overtake the plains that night. Though the storm was devastating, Mochla would come to be commended for her connection to the elements, and awarded the moniker as a badge of honor among the tribe. There was always the possibility that the storm had merely been a coincidence, but the Spiritual Shaman of the Frostwolves did not take coincidence lightly.

It was decided that her training would continue for most of her life. Her blue eyes made Elders of the Clan believe that she had a great destiny, and so she started on the path to becoming a Farseer. It was during this training that she originally met Krol'tok Tempestfury, who was to become a lifelong friend and mentor to her. Her training did not go without mistakes, however. Mochla often stumbled along the difficult road, as most young ones are prone to do. She attempted to push past her errors and learn from the mistakes, but the excitement of a great destiny made her a bit excited and prone to acting on impulse. Much like her mother, Mochla had a few wild nights, though she had never officially been on a formal Hunt with any Orcs once she had come of age. This was when Lirshar came about; the “bastard daughter”, quite simply put.

Mochla was thoroughly scolded for her irresponsible actions by both of her parents and her mentors, but the anger subsided quickly enough. Mochla never did apologize, but she took responsibility for her actions and raised her daughter in the way she believed to be best. She taught her the lessons of Honor and respect, and hoped that her daughter would also aspire for some kind of great destiny. Lirshar wasn't very old when the Frostwolves fled to Alterac, but Mochla kept her safe with the help of her family and the rest of the Clan as they all made the journey to what would become their new home. Unfortunately for the young mother, Lirshar became curious as she grew and went exploring to find new and interesting things. This resulted in her capture and imprisonment in an internment camp.

Devastated by the loss of her daughter, Mochla was all too eager to take in the lost straggler that showed up looking for the rest of the Frostwolves when given the opportunity. Juna became a second daughter to her, though Mochla knew deep down that one of the reasons this was so important to her was because she felt like she had failed the first one. She even went so far in her grief that she had several more casual relationships in the hopes that it would bring her some comfort. It wasn't until the New Horde rallied behind Thrall, freeing all the imprisoned Orcs that Mochla even knew that Lirshar was alive, and mated with her own children to boot.

Mochla was a happy grandmother, but the time to rejoice would have to be put on hold. The Third War was looming and there was work to be done. Mochla said her goodbyes and headed off with her “Father” and Krol'tok Tempesfury to join in the Battle for Hyjal. It might be because of this experience that Mochla developed more of a tolerance for neutrality, for on that day she saw everyone and everything fighting together for a singular cause. The Legion assaulted her senses and made her rather angry. They were an abomination against everything natural and precious to her, and so Mochla fought with all she had.

Her “Father” did not make it through the battle, but he died an honorable Warrior's death, which made her proud. The battle had made her feel strange, however. She felt more without direction than she had ever been in her life. How could one live through something like this and go back to old grudges and typical thinking? She found the answers to her problems in Kretol Earthshaker, who shortly after the Battle for Hyjal formed The Earthshaker Clan with the desire to promote more neutrality based ideals that coincided with Mochla's strong desire to protect the world that belonged to the Spirits. Mochla and Krol'tok ended up joining the Clan together, swearing their services to the noble Chieftain who had taken the remnants of the Thunderlord Clan under his protection.

Many adventures were had in their new home. The Earthshakers dedicated themselves to keeping the Burning Legion out of their home and they shunned the dark corrupting magics of Warlocks and their brood. On one particular adventure, the Crater was attacked by a group calling themselves the Blackskull Cabal. The Cabal was led by a warlock named Germak Pyregrip, who turned out to be Mochla's biological father that Zarga had tried so hard to keep a secret. Germak tried in vain to recruit his powerful daughter into his ranks for the “betterment of the Horde” but she refused, always stubbornly loyal to the Earthshakers she had come to know and love. Germak was angry and attempted to corrupt and destroy the Elementals of the Crater. In some ways, it was thanks to his evil that Mochla was able to finally complete her training. She took it upon herself to help organize squads to go out and fix all the taint and corruption that had been caused in the paradise of her home. In a show of gratitude, the Elementals blessed her with their favor and praised her actions.

Once things had finally settled down again, Mochla was able to focus more on checking up with her family, save for her mother who had disappeared during one of the fights against Germak's corrupted Elementals. Mochla was saddened by this, but she did not speak of it aloud. There was much work to be done to get the Crater back to its normal state and she would not fail in her duties.

Currently, Mochla still resides in the Crater, keeping her eyes on the future and whatever might still be in store for her and her family. She works closely with Krol'tok Tempestfury still and considers him to be one of her best friends though he is getting quite up there in age. There is much mutual respect between the two of them for their accomplishments. Mochla looks forward to diplomatic work for the Chieftain whenever there is a need for it, but battle is something she does indeed still have a bit of an appetite for; even when she jokes that she's getting too old for it.

Skills and Abilities

Being connected to an extreme with the Elements, Mochla relies on them to make her strong. She often calls upon them and asks for their blessings. They will give her vague and symbolic dreams of things yet to come that she is often left to interpret as she will. When wrathful, Mochla has the capability to cause weather disruptions or issues such as minor Earthquakes, large waves, and her favorite…thunderstorms. This is not to say that Mochla can control the weather however, for even she cannot make it rain in the middle of a barren wasteland. She can only intensely amplify what is available to her.

Mochla will often summon a companion by her side, whether it be an Elemental or the Spirit Wolves she encountered and befriended during her training. She has the ability to call on them for aid but can only do so approximately once per day. Once slain, all the creatures return to their own planes to recover.

Mochla's other gift is the gift of Farsight. Beyond receiving vague glimpses of things that might come to pass, Mochla can see beyond the range of normal eyes. Meaning, she can see over very long distances by attaching her consciousness to that of the Wind Spirits. This occurs in a way where her mind is bombarded by a rapid succession of images of what the wind sees as it moves. Mochla's challenge here is to even try and keep up. Often this process can leave her feeling a bit nauseous and weak.

One Orc To Rule Them All

It began with the forging of the great characters. Three were given to the GM's, immortal, wisest...fairest of all beings. Seven to the Grunt Lords, great rpers and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And Nine...nine characters were gifted to the race of Peons who, above all else, desire power. For within these characters was bound the strength and will to govern the forums. But they were all of them deceived..

In the land of Kalimdor, in the fires of Mount Hyjal, the Dark Lord Mochla forge in secret a Master Character to control all others...and into this Character she poured her cruelty, her malice and her will to dominate all profiles. One by one the Free Users of Azeroth fell to the power of the Character. But there were some... Who resisted. A last alliance of Grunts and Peons marched against the armies of Kalimdor. On the sloped of Mount Hyjal they fought for the freedom of Azeroth. Victory was near! But the power of the Character could not be undone.

It was in this moment..when all hope had faded, that Hawk, son of the king, took up his father's sword. Mochla, the enemy of the Free Peoples of Azeroth, was defeated. The Character passed to Hawk...who had this one chance to destroy evil forever. But the hearts of GM's are easily corrupted. And the Character of Power has a will of its own. It betrayed Hawk to his death. And some things that should not be forgotten.. Were lost.

History became legend, legend became myth. And for ten thousand years the Character passed out of all knowledge. Until, when chance came, it ensnared a new bearer. The Character came to the creature Kretol, who took it deep into the tunnels of the Blackwing Lair. And there, it consumed him. The Character brought to Kretol unnatural long life. For five thousand years it poisoned his mind. And in the gloom of Kretol's cave... It waited.

Darkness crept back into the forests of the world. Rumor grew of a Scourge in the North...whispers of a nameless fear. And the Character of Power perceived...its time had now come. It abandoned Kretol. But something happened then the Character did not intend...

It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable...A User. Mikain of the forums.

For the time will soon come when Mikain will shape the fortunes of all.

The Sound of Conquest

Hello Mochla, my old friend

I've come to bother you again

Because a suckling pig screaming

was all I could think while dreaming

And the blood that runs through my veins

Still remains

Within the sound of conquest

Near Thunder Ridge she walked alone

A field of blood and skin and bone

In the darkness she made her camp

She sought refuge from the cold and damp

When her summons were answered by the fire's light

That split the night

And touched the sound of conquest

And in the embers there she saw

Ten thousand orcs, geared for war

Orcs were killing without thinking

Bloody blades in sunlight, glistening

Foes crying out but not a single one was spared

And no one dared

Disturb the sound of conquest

"Orcs", said she, "You do not know

conquest like a sickness grows

Hear my words that I might teach you

Take my arms that I might reach you"

But her words, like so many before her fell

And were lost

In the spoils of conquest

And the Orcs killed and maimed

For honor was their only gain

Though the world flashed out its warning

In the cataclysm that it was forming

And the fire said, "The words of the seers are written on Draenor's walls

And Orgrimmar's halls"

And whispered in the sounds of conquest
