Character Full Name: Mika Mistwalker, Formerly Naila Moonshroud

Character In-Game Name: Mika

Association(s): The Alliance

Race: Night Elf

Class: Warrior

Age: 425

Sex: Female

Hair: White, cut short. It's obvious she does this herself, and she is not a master barber. Oddly enough, it's still neatly cared for. Eyes: A pale white glow. (I'm retconning that she had a missing eye to begin with.)

Weight: 245 lbs

Height: 6' 9"

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: Mika has been known to wear both leather and plate armor and wears it often. She likes to look menacing, or at least pretend to look as such, and likes to apply dark colors to her gear. She'll, at times, wear normal clothes in either black or red.

Her skin is a soft purple, and (her body is littered with scars of various sizes). Her markings are large and jagged around her eyes. She has a scar that comes down from her right eyebrow, skips her eye socket, and goes down her cheek a bit.

Personality

Mika is an angry woman, first and foremost. Although she's calmed down some over the years, including after returning from death, she still has this rage within that is difficult to quench. It's not too easy to anger her, but it's hard for her to control herself once she gets pushed past the point of no return. Not surprising, she has a need for vengeance when people have wrong her or those she cares about.

She has this odd sense of honor that forces her to keep her word once she has given it; it's the reason why she turns away jobs when she feels she needs to. She's fiercely loyal to her friends, and has been known to fuss over them from time to time. Mika has this strange habit of threatening the lives of those she likes, and thankfully she has yet to follow through with said threats. She's also flirtatious, almost lewd at times, especially while she drinks. She claims that drinking doesn't change her except an increase in laughter, but it does get her into trouble at times. It's unfortunate, because she drinks often.

Blood does things to Mika. It makes her rage on the field, it makes her...excited in other times. She doesn't show that side of her often, but the sight of blood makes her fidgety in ways that make normal folk nervous. Her sister tied it with her rage years ago, but Mika doesn't pretend to understand. She just enjoys it.

To friends she is a little calmer, even showing a little more emotion than she wishes. She lets herself relax when she's around people she trusts. She may even share her beer. To enemies, however, she openly acts cold and malicious, even in places where fighting them isn't allowed. She'll taunt them until they either demand she accompanies them "outside" or they'll get so enraged that they'll attack her anyway.

Mika is most comfortable on the battlefield. Fighting and killing, as she claims, is what she does best; it makes her feel ecstatic, more alive, than anything else she could experience.

History

Life Before Mika (Pre-RP History)

Mika Mistwalker was not always so. "But that was a lifetime ago," she'll say to those who ask.

She was born as Naila Moonshroud, to a Druid father and a mother whose only real claim to fame was her tailoring skills. For as long as she could remember, Naila had an anger problem. She would push some of the other kids around when she could, and while growing up she pulled away from the affections of her mother. She was always an independent child, and her mother's constant need of giving affection bothered her. The two times she ever saw her father awake she had tried to earn his approval, and was only met with a forced sense of duty. Needless to say, her family life was disappointing. It wasn't until she was 125 when her mother gave birth to another girl, which relieved Naila of any affection she was forced to endure. She didn't expect to also love the little sister she suddenly acquired. Of all people, Miruka was the only one who could calm the storm that was Naila, and she protected Miruka as best as she could, perhaps violently so.

It was at the age of eighty-two that Naila had joined the Sentinels at her mother's insistence, thinking that being involved with war would calm Naila down. In a way, it worked, but Naila wasn't happy with where she was. One day, she got a taste of being at sea on a patrol ship, and she knew this was where she belonged. After years of being a Sentinel, she fought tooth and nail to earn her own warship. It was named The Bloody Arrow, after the glaive throwers she used to destroy pirates and other enemies. Life on the sea was glorious, but she tried her best to maintain a strained shore life. Miruka, who was a doctor and now a Priestess, worried herself to death every time her sister would leave. Eventually, the Orcs began spilling into Ashenvale for their war effort against the Humans, and Naila grew even more resentful toward her mother when she chose to die with her lover as they fought Orcs instead of stay behind and take care of her youngest. Naila never cried at the funeral, but Miruka was heartbroken. To this day she doesn't understand how this happened, but Naila managed to get herself mated to a Druid named Ilerothes. The couple fought often while she was on shore leave and he was awake; he wanted her to stay and watch over his body when he slept, and she...didn't. She told him one last time that she wasn't going to give up the sea for anybody and left for a patrol. It would be the last she'd ever see her mate, or anyone for the next good while.

There was an ominous storm that brewed around the ship. She realized too late that it was summoned by a group of Naga witches, and before she could yell out "Battle stations!" her ship was swarming with Naga. Her crew did their best to fight off the ambush, but the overwhelming numbers proved to be too much. The last thing she remembered about that day was her looking up at a wave that towered over her ship and came crashing down upon it. She woke up on the shore of an uninhabited island off the coast of Bloodmyst Isle, lucky to be alive. She was alone, save for a few bits of wreckage from her ship. She spent six months fighting for survival in a constant state of being on the edge of starvation. When it seemed like Naila was going to die there, she was found by a ship full of Draenei on their way to Auberdine. She gladly accepted the help of her rescuers. She was taken to a doctor's tent in Auberdine, and was surprised to see that Miruka was the one taking care of her. Her body must have been too ravaged by the elements, for Miruka didn't recognize her. Even so, Miruka had nursed her back to health.

During the few days she was under her sister's care, she learned that she had been gone for half a year and that nobody on her crew survived the Naga attack. She was shocked to learn that somebody had filled a grave meant for her, but felt that perhaps it was better that her younger sister had nobody else to worry about anymore. She also found out later that her fiance had died while she went missing, but she didn't feel any real sadness for that. When asked for a name, she stated "Mika Mistwalker", and left it at that. When she was well enough to walk on her own, she slipped away on a boat towards Stormwind before Miruka could noticed she left her tent.

Since then, she had kept her new name and became a mercenary. "Fighting and killing is what I do best", she'd always say. Her heart ached for the sea again, but for now she just wandered the lands looking for work.

A String of Failed Relationships, a Captain Dead and Reborn (CotH RP History)

During her time as a mercenary, she had come to befriend a handful of Humans that would eventually bring her and Miruka back together three years later. Unfortunately, the reunion came with the tragic price of a Sin'Dorei kidnapping the younger sister. It was a strained relationship at that point, but life had calmed down a bit. Mika felt an ever-increasing urge to return to the sea, and began focusing on her work to save up for a ship.

It was then that the dominos of fate were pushed, in the form of a Sin'Dorei named Dallahan Windsweep. They had met at the tavern in Booty Bay, and neither could tell which one was just saying what the other wanted to hear. Before she knew it, Mika had agreed to aid Dallahan in getting revenge on his old captain in exchange for a large sum of money...and the promise of making her dream a reality. She eagerly helped Dallahan sneak onboard his former captain's vessel and murdered what was left of the crew, and Mika found herself with the amount she needed to get her ship built. While waiting for her vessel to be completed, Dallahan revealed to her that he had fallen in love with her. After what felt like an eternity of being alone, Mika felt she had found her kindred spirit. The two confirmed their love in Ratchet on a hill overlooking the sea.

Eventually the ship was finished, and she gave it the name 'The Bloody Arrow' in honor of the last ship she had. Life had become better for her, and she felt that it would last as long as she had Dallahan by her side. Miruka, among other people, also joined the Bloody Arrow's crew as the onboard doctor. On the outside, things seemed perfect, but Mika's inner demons would eventually tear everything she cared for away. Her lack of eating and sleeping, her indulging in her psychological addictions and other bad habits had eventually forced Dallahan and Miruka to grow tired of handling it. Dallahan threatened to leave her if she didn't change. Around this time she had met a Human that only called himself Crow, and said that he was a gift from a mysterious benefactor. Though she was initially suspicios, she accepted Crow into her crew and the two became close friends in a short period of time. When Dallahan threatened to leave her, she decided to take a sabbatical to Northrend to think about where her life was heading. Crow, or Reijon as Mika later come to know his as, followed her to make sure she was safe. The two grew closer.

Unfortunately, Mika had come back to Dallahan stating his resignation as her Lieutenant and as her lover. Nothing she said changed his mind, and Mika walked away brokenhearted. She had decided to change her ship's name to 'The Frozen Spearhead', as she believed that Dallahan had been such a part of the former name that she couldn't bear to keep it. Reijon stood by his captain and, soon after, the two had fallen in love. Mika hoped that, with Reijon's understanding and patience, she could conquer her inner demons. Miruka, sadly, did not feel the same and resigned from her crew not long after. Despite the fact that her life had fallen apart, she had Reijon and Antia, an Anchorite whom she come to know as her best friend. Along the way she had met a Sin'Dorei named Thelrovin, an Arcanist who had a tortured past.

Reijon had disappeared for the Outlands, presumably to find the truth behind his origins, leaving Mika and Thelrovin to become comfortable with each other as she tried to save him from his pain. The captain had changed, becoming fearful of the Sin'Dorei's anger. She had suffered two occasions where he would assault her with his fire magic when he had given in to his hallucinations, and the Kaldorei could not take it anymore. Reijon never returned. She felt trapped.

The plan was simple: get Vyndus to rig her ship with enough explosives to render it to splinters, and let it explode some distance away from Booty Bay so she could fake her death. She would flee to Northrend and spend the rest of her days there. She told a handful of people, and waited until everyone left the ship to light the fuse. When she was supposed to flee the ship, she had an emotional crisis detailing her failures in life. She pushed herself out of it, but she wasted too much time and the ship exploded. Her body had been launched into the water before everything went black.

Three months had passed before her skeleton was found on the shores of Stranglethorn Vale by Antia, and Mika was resurrected as soon as possible, and gained a few side effects. Mika was grateful to be alive again, and vowed that someone would have to force her life away to ever experience death again.

Current Situation

While Mika was happy to see old faces upon her return to the land of the living, her relationship with Thelrovin was strained even worse. Due to her new phobia of fire, among other things, Mika failed to patch things up with him and left him in hopes he would find a way to free himself from his torment. Vyndus had helped Mika meet with an old friend and longtime crush, Cid, and was offered to work as his airship's navigator. Vyndus gave Mika another push, and with Cid's prodding she admitted her crush. The two have decided to give a relationship a try, and she has been happy ever since.]

Other Notes: When Mika's resurrection post was done, she had gained a permanent drawback of being too weak to wear mail or plate for long periods of time, among other drawbacks. I have decided to retcon this drawback, but she has all the others.

Skills and Abilities

Unless 'having a psychological addiction to blood' and 'sadomasochism' can be considered skills...she doesn't have anything special she can do.
