Appearance

Meline prefers casual clothes, and changes them on the situation. She rarely wears armor, a leather chest piece and boots at most as it simply makes her stand out from the crowd. Simple, but well stitched clothes. She usually does not carry weapons in plain sight, but that does not mean that she isn't carrying a weapon at all.

Other: Has the top of her ears pierced with steel piercings. Always has a small pocket watch in one of her pockets.

Personality

Cold cunning and calculating. Meline sees life as a game of chess, where each move must be made carefully. Each piece she puts forward has a thousand ways of being countered and as such she tries to think up of all thousand ways beforehand. A smile tends to come up whenever she is thinking, trying to hide the true nature of her thoughts. As a friend, one would find Meline to be generous and thoughtful yet as someone who shows signs of distrust, or breaches her loyalty, she is quick to change and act on it. Aiming to take down risks before the disaster occurs.

She knows that appearances are important, perhaps the sole thing that matter as she strives to keep up the appearance of a tradeswoman. As such she keeps her clothes clean, her nails short and usually smells faintly of perfume. It's all part of the business package, a business woman as she sees herself. Coins can be made, people can be fooled and trades can be established. In the end it's all about money.

Meline is not one whose motives are always easy to find, and that's exactly how she likes it.

History

( Year -5) Born in Loch Modan, Meline added to the family size of three. A father, who worked as a tanner for the town. A mother, who worked as scribe, transcribing texts of the holy light from common to dwarvish. A brother of two years older, who grew up to be a mischievous type despite the strict religious hold of both mother and father.

With both parents well-schooled but no human school nearby, the parents took it upon themselves to educate both Meline and Jack. Meline had a quick mind for maths and history, whereas Jack was more itching for action and doing something with his hands. Alass, the town offered no real challenge to do so and out of boredom, Jack began to play tricks on the town’s people. Harmless at first, but eventually it turned into thievery for which he was quickly berated and punished for. The act however left an image in Meline's mind when Jack was disciplined, and while she did not feel pity for him, she felt he could have achieved much more.

(Year 6) The Orc’s walked in and the family fled to Ironforge, the city was packed full with survivors and civilians fleeing from the fight. Meline was eleven; living in a tensed environment where the demand for good was high, but the production was low. People feared for their lives, and she found herself conducting business for a good price by selling several of the books her mother had translated. Religion was a lucrative thing in an era of fear, where many prayed for a higher power to protect them. While Meline's mother objected to the act, the little girl managed to sell at least several books before being stopped and not all cash she had earned was returned to its owners.

Having a knack for trading, she struck a deal with her brother. He would 'find' small things, items that wouldn't be missed with ease, and she would sell them for a pure profit to one of the many refugees. Coins slowly came rolling in, coppers and the occasional silver as Meline enjoyed the lucrative business with her brother. But at a good moment, Loch Modan was retaken by the Alliance forces. People had lived in fear for long enough, and returned back to their homes when they could.

With news of the Deeprun tram being completed, a technology Meline had not thought to be possible, more and more people began to move back and forth between Stormwind and Ironforge. Her family began to conduct trades in both cities themselves, and often left Jack to watch over Meline.

(Year 12) Seventeen and nineteen, the two relatives stuck together like bees to honey. They had gotten in trouble a fair few times, and Meline's parents were considering sending Jack away before they influenced Meline even more. The girl had turned into a sharp-tongued trader, aiding both mother and father with their endeavours. While the legal trade was fun, she made so much more money by trading through other means. The deal she had made years back with Jack was strong and lucrative, and admittedly the best of it was that Jack got into more trouble than her.

He got the goods, from where she did not bother to ask. She sold them all throughout Ironforge and split the money with him. She realized however that she wanted more, much more and at the age of 21 she left her parent's house to make her own fortune. Jack stayed behind, an unfortunate decision as the small trails over the years had led the guards to find out about the small trades they had been conducting.

Jack was imprisoned without much of a trial, as Meline would find out later. Having fled to Hillsbrad, where she spent the next couple of years.

(Year 25)

Having forged another small business empire in the busy town of Southshore, her success was denied once again with the coming of the scourge. Lordaeron fell, and as Meline had no intentions of trying out her luck, she moved through Ironforge and onto Stormwind. Selling her last wares for a decent price, she found herself without a steady income once again.

She had profited in Southshore for a while, having made enough to buy a house in Elwynn. In the upcoming years she would slowly and carefully walk through the underworld of the markets, observing who the big players were. Taking her time to gather information about the situation, to see where the demands were and to see where she could earn a few coins as well. Opportunities, she needed and acted on them.

(Year 29)

In the upcoming four years she managed to re-establish a set of small trades here and there, profiting from the goods shipped back and forth. A few coins occasionally came from the mines of the Kingdom, choosing only to mingle with the riskier things when a large profit could be made. Having grown adapt at masking her trails and saving money while the wheels in her mind began to turn for a bigger plan. (As for her family, she had lost all contact but did not seem to mind)

A much bigger plan.
