Appearance

No armor. Unless she's unable to, Mei will wear a full-body red/golden suit, with long sleeves. She's not very fond of girly or different clothes, preferring to wear practical suits with good flexibility, rather than anything showy. Sometimes wears hair decorations, out of habit rather than of vanity.

Other: In overall looks, Mei is tiny and harmless looking. For a Runemaster she seems to lack the bulging muscles. However one that touches her arms and legs will notice how hard and well-built her compact muscles are. Mei is also very flexible and acrobatic, for reasons explained on her story. Along with her behavior, Mei can sometimes be mistaken for a boy in first meetings.

Personality

Mei is quiet and silent at first times. She's well-reserved and tries to not talk more than necessary. She may be more open and talkative to closer friends, if there's a proper reason to act like this. If she's out of a “topic” she's very likely to sit down and meditate, shutting off her connection with the exterior world. Other than that Mei is very tomboyish, having ignored her gender identity for most of her life. Both in and out of fights, Mei is respectful and rather not underestimate anyone's abilities, having taught to see everyone as an equal worthy individual.

History

At the beginning of her life, Mei and her family were victimized by the war. Her parents and some other relatives were travelers, part of a caravan of merchants, entertainers and guards. In fact it was much of a mixed group, taking survivors and people willing to join here and there, striving for a way to survive together. Despite the hardships Mei was able to grow healthily in this environment. With both parents being circus artists, part of the caravan, it was almost natural for her to follow the same course.

In the first years Mei only learned, only moving into the spotlight once she was around seven. It was also by that time that a new member joined the caravan. An old dwarf named Tetmus. Tetmus was gravely wounded and barely alive when the caravan found him. With the help of volunteers, priests and medics and even common people, the dwarf was able to survive and recover after a few months. In the meantime, Mei befriended him and was able to learn from his very mouth about his story. Tetmus was a traveling beggar, former warrior of his clan but now doomed, as his family had all been lost in war. He had given himself to despair and forgotten about his art. Convinced by the members of the caravan, Tetmus remained with him and after a year he convinced himself to make a new start with Runemastery.

Mei grew interested on it and took lessons with Tetmus, while the dwarf also trained himself to gain the skill he once had. For his surprise, Mei seemed to have potential to learn and so she did within the next years. Along with her natural abilities, her aptitude to use and sense of arcane helped her improve. Mei would find time between her training to assist her parents with the circus. While it improved her overall physics, Tetmus trained her to improve her mind and understanding of Arcane.

The caravan would continue to travel through the same cities by the Eastern Kingdoms, as it usually did. With the passing of years, some subjects would join the caravan, some would leave and some would die or be born. Slowly, little by little, Mei learned, though as the time passed, Tetmus' time grew short. As Mei grew stronger, Tetmus grew weaker, and when she was nineteen the dwarf finally drew his last breath. Before dying he asked Mei to take the teachings of his clan forward, and asked Mei to become stronger, for him, and never falter, or she would regret like he did. Currently, Mei is out in Azeroth, seeking to learn more and grow stronger, and if possible spread her master's teachings. Despite her parents' concern, they allowed her to leave and start a new life with what she wanted to do.
