Appearance

Often seen wearing durable armor. Depending on the level of combat she's in, she'll cover and armor up more of her body as she sees fit. She tries to go for leather or mail, not wanting to sacrifice her speed and dexterity to plate. She also likes to wear a little white bandana around her neck

Weapon of choice is a polearm she likes to carry around with her. Because of her career in fighting and generally explosive behavior, she had adopted the surname of Rocketfist. Meaks did not have an invention to name herself for, but she had always felt it was a fitting name for someone like her.

Personality

Confident, cocky and arrogant; those are three good words to describe Meaks. She is one to overestimate her ability and bite off more than she can chew. However, she is good-spirited, and doesn't mind failing if done so in an impressive way. She'll wrestle a bear or try to fist-fight a draenei if only for the excitement.

She enjoys spectating just as much as participating in fights. Fighting is her life, and her inspiration, and she often feels like she has a blazing spirit that's bigger than her body. Meaks hopes to one day prove herself, that she doesn't need to be versed in the way of magic or tinkering to stake out a fulfilling life as a gnome.

History

Meaks was born to a rather large family in the deeper parts of Gnomeregan. Her parents were not very successful tinkers, and the family was a bit large for the resources they were bringing in. From a young age Meaks had to learn to make sacrifices. She couldn't have the cool toys and gizmos her friends had, and her parents were too busy to teach her a good foundation in tinkering. She had the very basics of engineering down before she made it to her teenage years, and it made her both a bit of an outcast and an oddball among her peers.

With a rather cynical outlook Meaks felt the problem was not that she was a broken cog in the machine, but that the whole machine didn't fit her. She had to get out of there, and find a way to make her mark without machines, without magic, just with everything she had at her own disposal. It was then that the second war had just begun. She was not yet an adult, but the difference between thirty-two and forty wasn't enough to give it away. With a resemblance to the other young adults, she outright lied about her age to make her way into the Dwarven numbers and fight as a soldier in Khaz Modan.

While she was a little small and scrappy for the Dwarven ranks, she used this military career as a foundation for her life as a warrior. She had been trained in the art of combat and warfare, and joined one of the smaller battalions. Rather than staying and helping defend Gnomeregan during its fall, she was helping the Alliance fight against the Scourge. After the Third War, she would finally leave the ranks of the battalion to assume the life of a warrior.

She felt that with Gnomeregan fallen there wasn't much to return to. The death toll alone made a rift in her family, and she hadn't felt like she fit in to begin with. Her wandering brought her into the cartel lands where innovation and profit were treasured over all, and where combat was a form of entertainment in the arenas. Something about this appealed to the gnomish war veteran, and she had decided ever since to stay in the neutral lands where she could win fights and make bets for a living.
