Skills And Abilities: A few peculiarities set her apart from the average Priest, not the least of which is her fondness for sharp objects.

  • The Armor of the Soul: Out of a need to conserve space in the tight underground hallways of Coldarra, her holy Shields form as an almost skin-tight field, rather than a large bubble around the target.
  • Their Borrowed Flame: Thanks to her belief in the divine nature of the Dragons, her Holy Fire-based spells have turned reddish, mimicking the gouts of flame spewed by the Red Flight. Indeed, she actually believes she's wielding borrowed Dragonfire.
  • Faith is the Blade of War: Luelin is capable of maintaining a sustained, sword-sized line of searing Light, Shadow or Holy Fire, out of an extended limb, which usually ends up being used as a cutting implement.
  • Divine Contagion: Thanks to her experience in combating the Undead in Northrend, Luelin has turned her Devouring Plague spell into a Light-fueled one, specifically tailored to damaging the unliving over time.

Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: From a light tunic and pants, to a similarly light robe or shirt and long skirt, to heavy robes if expecting combat, sometimes with small metallic reinforcements.

Other: There is almost always a bladed weapon on her person, be it concealed or not. Luelin seems physically fit enough to wield whatever she's carrying, her build suggesting a modicum of martial training in addition to the profession of the cloth. She presents scars on the back of her lower left leg, and her right shoulder has three linear, parallel scars on it as well.

Personality

Luelin is a patient, and usually calm individual. Slow to anger, and rather talkative she often engages in preaching - sometimes completely unintentionally. She is a person of many faiths, and respects most divinities, or divine-like beings. She is also very, very curious. In truth, it is her curiosity that led her to such a multi-faith approach.

Luelin, in the end, is certain that the world revolves around a dualistic concept - one of Shadows and Light, and seeks to understand the philosophy of the points of view behind each of these two concepts, that she may better her own skill in their application. She does not however, see one faith as evil, and another as good. She considers both useful for whatever purpose she has in mind. To her, the person wielding divine magic matters far more than the actual nature of their spells.

Were Luelin not so curious, she would most likely be a shut-in. She may sometimes be quiet around strangers, suppressing her impulse to bombard them with questions or conversation. This usually happens when she's saddened by either failing to help someone, or achieve some - usually obscure - goal she had in mind. Luelin tends to mold her personality to the people around her, being a fairly adaptive individual.

On the topic of races, Luelin makes few distinctions. She particularly enjoys the presence of her own people as well as Forsaken, for instance. She still sees Trolls as primal, primitive barbarians, as their culture is steeped in a faith she outright hates - Voodoo. She finds Tauren rather curious and admires their spirituality, but doesn't think too much of them. In the end, though, the typical elven xenophobia was tempered out of her by both faith and circumstance, especially during the times spent in the Plaguelands and Northrend with the Argents. Luelin generally accepts the races in her company, grudgingly or not - though often what she feels may be contradictory to what she says.

As far as places go, Luelin prefers sunny locations or ones with warm colours, despite her own dress code hinting to a half-mocked sobriety for instance. She is also the kind of person that gets bored very easily.

History

Luelin was born in Silvermoon, like most Quel'dorei of the time. Her parents were Farstriders, but as far as profession goes, they were both priests, having met originally due to their faith bringing them together. Naturally, Luelin would follow suit, her childhood being a combination of the typical Farstrider outings and training in nature, and prayer and the study of the divine. The subject of the divine fascinated young Luelin, and the things her parents did with it even more so.

As soon as she was the required age, Luelin entered apprenticeship under a fairly old priest in Silvermoon. She 'devoured' holy texts and philosophy alike, and it was not long before training as a Priestess had her going about, using the incipient skills of the profession to help wherever she could, slowly gaining both experience and knowledge.

Eventually becoming a fully-fledged priestess, Luelin was tasked with healing the sick and the wounded, rarely being present in combat, despite troubling times and her appropriate physical aptitude. She stayed safely out of combat until' the undead Scourge came, when she was forced to adapt rapidly, or perish. Suffices to say, she adapted, and even tried to fight back, the Light being a potent weapon against the invaders. Still, she, as the rest of her surviving people was forced to fall back repeatedly and she focused on tending to the wounded between tossing about sacred fires and bolts of Light. It would be her physical ability that saved her - her legs namely, as she ran for safety during the massacre, when she could fight no more.

After the Fall of Quel'thalas, as the Sin'dorei were created, she fed off a Fel-Crystal, becoming a Blood Elf herself. As the Sin'dorei joined the Horde, she set out, merely thankful that she did not lose the Light upon draining Fel, and left Quel'thalas, moving southward, for the lands of the Forsaken. These 'good' Undead still possessed minds of their own, recently freed from the Lich King's tyrannous grasp. They fascinated her, their rebellion, their strange faith - an echo of life, a... Shadow, to balance out the Light.

It was not long before Luelin studied the Shadow, growing close to some of the Forsaken, before deciding, partly in the spirit of retribution of her people and the Light, and partly in the rebellion of the Forsaken and the Shadow, to fight the Scourge of the Plaguelands, eventually running into a group of Argent Dawn troops.

By then, she was injured, hungry and her formerly elaborate robes torn. She gladly accepted the help offered by the Argents, and went with them to Light's Hope Chapel, wherein she stayed for a fairly long time, taking part in incursions into the Plaguelands themselves, as well as mere healing. The Argent Dawn was the perfect organization to take part in, and indeed, she was one of those that supported the coming of the Forsaken into the Dawn. She found the Argents as accepting of most faiths and all races, however, all bound by the unfailing devotion to do good and better the world, fighting evil in all its forms. She became like them.

Luelin even took part in the battle of Light's Hope Chapel, when the Death Knights were freed, and went on, with the reformed Argent Crusade, to Northrend. There, she found a war on two fronts. One being the Scourge under the Lich King, and the other the maddened Aspect Malygos. While for the incipient parts of the struggle, Luelin stayed with the Argents and fought the Scourge, when Wyrmrest called for aid, she eagerly answered. Bound half by curiosity, half by a desire to prove herself, she took part in the Nexus War throughout its entirety - From the sieges on Wyrmrest, to the attacks on the Surge Needles, to Coldarra's frozen, spell-bound heart itself.

Somehow, during this time, a sense of respect bordering on worship formed in her for the elusive and powerful dragons, and indeed she included them in her multiple faiths.

After the fall of the maddened Aspect, Luelin returned to the Argents, somewhat battered, but certainly happy to have helped against such a potent foe. She stuck with the Crusade for the entire duration of the war against the Scourge then on, up to the death of the traitorous human prince, after which she returned to Azeroth, considering herself free of duties, and went on to wander the world, trying to make things better one person at a time, instead of following some greater cause.

Though, the search for purpose never ends, and neither does her curiosity nor love for the Divine. Yet where such a path leads, is undetermined...
