Personality

Lokni is a stoic figure, though he is actually a very good speaker, when he chooses to be. In the latest plague attack he lost his mate, and since then, he has been spiritually sapped. He recognizes all the beauty in the world, yet has a hard time participating in it. He does not smile often, anymore, but when he does you can be certain that he likes you. He is a very warm, paternal figure, but often makes bad first impressions, as he is often cold when he first meets someone. He is generally distrusting of the Forsaken and his new Blood Elf allies, though he considers politics not to be his affair, and so does not speak out against it. He catalogues his experiences and memories in a journal, all of which are recorded in verse. If he were to come across an unarmed Alliance he would pass him by. Injuring the helpless is not his cup of tea. He feels a great, spiritual connection to the Earth Mother, though he never had the talent to become a Shaman. That said, he holds a great respect for those in tune with the Earth Mother, and although he is enemies with the Night Elves, he respects them greatly. At this point in his life he feels much more comfortable in the background, rather than leading an army, he would serve as a low soldier, following orders. Many of his friends died in the war, or were lost to the plague, so he feels very much alone, and craves friendship, though he is too proud a creature to admit it to himself.

History

Lokni was born in a time when the Tauren were nomadic, but after Thrall helped drive the Centaur out of Mulgore, Lokni was among the Tauren who embraced settlement. He served as a soldier during the Third War, and after that, worked as a Centaur hunter in the Barrens. He discovered his mate shortly after being dispatched from the army, and traveled with her in contentment for many years.

His role in history was never significant, yet he often found himself in places of great significance. He served with the combined forces at the Battle of Mount Hyjal, though he served only briefly in the defense before suffering an injury to his head, which lost him half of his left horn.

When the new plague arrived, his mate was among the earliest to show symptoms. He sought out the best Shamans and Druids to help him and cure her blight, but his efforts were in vain. The cure did not become available in time, and he spent his last moments with her among the rolling hills of Mulgore. Since then, he has become a wanderer seeking spiritual reconciliation. He works odd jobs to pick up some spare silver, but other than that, his devotion is only to finding answers and honoring the memories of his lost loved ones. After the burial ceremony of his mate, held at the Red Rocks in Mulgore, he began a pilgrimage to the east, stopping at many Shamanistic shrines in Durator and the Barrens.
