Personality

A primal, savage warrior who embodies the traditionalist stereotype of her kind in many ways, Lillisea is dangerously cunning and ruthless yet intrinsically mysterious and controlled. However, despite the warrior's psyche, Lillisea is inherently a respectful, compassionate and altruistic being; she is equally as likely to help a friend in need as to savagely hunt down an intruder. Chaotic in every fibre of her being, Lillisea is one to follow her own rules and moral guidelines above nearly all things, including the law. Shrouded and obscure, Lillisea hides her emotions out of necessity - where she may be close to falling into rage, her stone-faced visage shows no sign of anger. Lillisea is a natural leader and enjoys the role of commander.

Lillisea's primary allegiance is to the forces of nature. She sees the beauty of life and is more than willing to do what she must to protect it. Lillisea was one to study a single flower for days on end, remaining in one moonlit grove as time moved without her. However, times change faster than the wind. As of late, her time left on this world has been given a set ending - choosing to embrace the fact that her lifespan is no longer infinite, Lillisea has taken on the mantle of the protector evermore than that of the peaceful watcher.

Like so many of her people, Lillisea is stricken with the mixed blessing of xenophobia. Not so far as to be aggressive, Lillisea is, however, inherently distrustful of other races. She claims no allegiance to the Alliance - she rejects the notion that they are needed for her own kind's survival and openly dislikes the ideology put forward; namely lawfulness, fame, and militarism. However, it is only the Alliance, not the races that form it, that she properly dislikes. She has no major problem with Humans and Dwarves, and enjoys the company and aid of Draenei, though she does find Gnomes irritating. Somewhat dishonest with herself, Lillisea likes to think that the perfect autarchy kept by the Kaldorei is enough to keep them safe on their own forevermore.

History

Lillisea was born in the far off reaches of Azshara, conceived in one of the many fleeting periods her father withdrew from the Emerald Dream to spend time with his beloved. Her mother, alone with her child, dedicated herself to the maternal role: while previously she had been a solitary huntress, much of her time was now reserved for her child. An Elven is still a child long after her human twin has passed: hundreds of years were spent learning the basics of survival, combat, etiquette and much more. The solitary life was preferred - Lillisea would often wonder for days on end, taking in all that the tiny fragment of the world she inhabited had for her. Life was easy and bountiful - there was nothing but her kind and the forest where she lived, and she liked it this way.

Lillisea ventured east, to Ashenvale, to learn how to fight. So she did, though the glaive was not a natural skill she picked up. She did take well, however, to the tough life of a soldier, and developed a close bond with her sisters as they fought together to protect the forest. Many years were spent in this fashion - so many that even Lilisea herself cannot correctly recall.

One such event she had to deal with was the War of the Shifting Sands. The movement to Silithus was initiated hurriedly; the Elven forces were fast, but not that fast. The war hit Lillisea hard: the idyllic haven she had grown so accustomed to was not reflective of the rest of the world. Witnessing the Silithid swarm opened her eyes. Seeing such a malevolent horde with no empathy, no thought that is not destruction, opened her eyes both to the dangers of the world and the inevitability of damage caused. She felt the need not only to protect the world, but to repair it when it was damaged; to mend, to regrow.

It was a somber existence, continuing onward. A thousand years is no short time, even for one that does not age, and Lillisea's mind was tainted with the seeds of futility. Slowly distancing herself from her comrades, she spent more and more time alone until her life was spent in some dark state of nirvana. Free from the constraints of time, she would spend years in solitary depression, traversing Northern Kalimdor in a desperate quest for fulfillment. Relationships were fleeting and contentment momentary - everywhere she went felt like a reminder of the destruction she witnessed.

Trauma was pushed aside and replaced by urgency: whispers travel swiftly among the star children. Rumours of green-skinned aliens assaulting the borders of the forest reached her ears and she immediately turned her sights on Ashenvale. Impending dread was resisted and replaced by an eagerness to protect the single thing she still loved. When she arrived, the Orcs had already begun warring against the Night Elves. Their blood-fueled rampage was impossible to control with only the Sentinels. Before long, not only the Elves' forest but their god had been ravaged. Black tides of sorrow cascaded through the Kaldorei, only to be replaced by terrible fury. The vast majority of the entire Elven race on the hunt is quite the fearsome sight, and Lillisea was one of the many who hunted Orcs all across Kalimdor.

Lillisea's rage began to recede in place of numb disconsolation. Returning to Ashenvale with the faint dream that the catastrophe was finally over, she settled down to aid the rebuilding of society. However, this forlorn hope was crushed in a a matter of months. This time, more than just the Orcs encroached on the Elves: the might of the Burning Legion was once again at their doorstep. This war was a metamorphosis for the Kaldorei; such drastic change was brought about: allying with the abhorrent Orcs, the aberrant Dwarves and Humans, the Night Elves united to withstand Archimonde's assault.

Some months later, Lillisea had finished grieving; finished her lament. The Elves were a part of the Alliance now: her culture and society had shifted so far that even one as stoic, one as traditional as herself had to change. And change she did. Finally giving into the yearning she had lived with for a thousand years, Lillisea set her glaive down for the final time and began to walk the Druidic path. This was the role that Elune had chosen for her, it seemed; Lillisea was a rapid and eager student. Her natural savage, lonesome tendencies led her to lean towards the path of the hunter; her desire to heal the world pointed her towards the healer's path; her unyielding faith and furious grace told her to follow the caster's path. Thus, she chose not to concentrate on but one path, but to walk them all.

One's training never finishes, but Lillisea and her tutor eventually moved apart. For years, she relentlessly defended the sanctity of nature and the Dream - so successful and faithful was she that she caught the eye of powers far beyond her realm--perhaps not the eye, for that was closed, but the attention. The call of an Emerald Wyrm is not one a Night Elf, let alone a Druid, can willfully ignore; Lillisea more than readily accepted. She was trialed, first - a test of wit and creativity (for Shalara was well aware no Night Elf would fail her physically). A series of riddles which, when solved, paved the way to her first entrance into the Dream. It was a brief stay, but a wondrous one; she was tasked only with retrieving one of Shalara's one scales, which she has kept to this day. Thus began Lillisea's new life; her sorrows in her past, her hopes in the future, her determination in the present.

Skills and Abilities

Choosing not to constrict herself in her abilities, Lillisea does not follow one particular path of Druidism; although definitively dedicated to the feline aspect of the Claw, she is equally skilled in the Balance and Restoration facets of her class. Lillisea uses her cat form almost entirely for sake of tracking, hunting and travelling purposes. Due to her relative inexperience with Druidism, Lillisea's skill with a spear in her natural form far surpasses those she may access when relying on her druidic abilities. She also makes use of a warhorn, channelling her magic through the sound to heal, empower and inspire her allies.
