Personality

Leighlas is a very cheerful person, and finds the lighter side of things in just about every situation. He is also very ambitious and is doing everything possible to make a name for himself.

Other: Leighlas is one of the most clumsy people in Azeroth, constantly tripping over things, accepting strange beverages from shady people, and backfiring spells.

History

Leighlas was born in Stormwind, and moved to Northshire Abbey at the age of 5. From there, he was raised by his mother, as his father was away from the Abbey for most of his time. Leighlas' father was a powerful mage, just like his father, in fact, all the Edinger's born into the family since humans first wielded magic were magi, but none had ever reached a position of power in human hierarchy. Every time a new Edinger was born, the dad would have hopes that this one would finally bring some power to the family. Always, nothing.

Leighlas was yet another of those hopes, slowly fading every year of his studies. As powerful the magic he used was, he didn't have control over it half the time. By 16, he had grasped the concept of simple spells, such as conjuring a ball of fire, and making a thin layer of ice coat him as armor. Hopes were starting to go back up for him, thinking that he was just a late bloomer. When he began moving on to the more technical spells, again, catastrophic results.

At the age of 21, he was finally given his mages license (3 years late of the normal graduation age) and given simple jobs to do around the abbey. In his quiet time, he studied the different schools of magic, and sought to learn as much as he could, and find out how he could control his magic better. At 22, he was given a job of clearing out of a few of the Defias thugs wandering around the vineyards, and causing all sorts of trouble. Being who he was, Leighlas' first step was to try and convince them to leave. He got answered by several of the thugs jumping out of bushes attempting to kill him. Without much concious thought, he quickly tried to conjure a few fireballs to defend himself with. Completely unprepared for the attack, he didn't have enough time to concentrate and so even something as basic as a small ball of flame didn't come. Instead, hundreds of small sparks flew out in every direction. Some landed on the Defias thug's garments, and ignited their scraps of ragged clothing. The thugs fled, believing Leighlas was some kind of murderous lunatic and trying to incinerate them all. Surprised, and rather proud of his handiwork, Leighlas began to return the Abbey, meanwhile, unbeknownst to him, some of the sparks settled on the vines. Halfway home, Leighlas smelt smoke. Turning around, he noticed a column of the stuff rising into the air. Quickly doing the math, he realised what he'd done and sprinted back to the vineyard. By the time he returned, most of the section he was in was already cooked, and several of the Abbey's workers had already reacted and contained the fire from spreading.

Not too happy about the vineyard, the Abbot kicked him out of the Abbey, and sent him on his way down to Goldshire. There he stayed at the inn for 1 month, before moving up to Stormwind where he spends his time studying in the library and mage tower.
