His clothing is tattered and torn, he seems not to take care of it very well. He has battle scars running up his exposed arms and chest, and has a large tattoo of a snake running down his back.

Personality

Laars is a loner, so naturally he tends to make his own decisions and prefers to follow none. Laars tends to make his decisions based on his own personal benefit, if it's good for him then he'll do something...if the decision affects him in no way, he'll dismiss it and say it would have been a waste of time. Laars doesn't have many friends these days, as many of them were taken from him in Lordaeron. After living 26 years in the world of Azeroth he has decided that to survive, you have to look out for yourself and throw anyone who slows you down to the side, meaning he isn't very dependable if your life is at stake. Laars also doesn't like to deal with rudeness, he believes the only way to get respect is to beat it out of someone, and that is what he attempts to do, should someone get him over the line.

History

Childhood: Laars was born to a poor, corrupt family of thieves in the Kingdom of Lordaeron. When Laars was born, his family was in debt to many people for not returning borrowed money, and his family was often on the run from bounty hunters or kidnappers. From the time laars could speak his father had been slowly training him how to survive and fend off enemies for himself. Laars caught on to fighting and survival tactics over the years, after all, fighting and running was the only life he had even known, he had no other courses of action but to help watch over his family.

Teen Years: Laars had grown very strong and clever as his body developed and grew. He knew how to steal, hide, shoot, and even fight full grown adults. He was born to fight. He had met other families and their children similar to his family over time, and had become very close friends with some of them. Laars and his friends had decided to form a group of Misfit fighters and thieves around their ages and try to rebel against society for what they did to them. They were called the Serpent Brawlers...and they were identified by a large green serpent tattoo that was inscribed in to their backs. The serpent Brawlers were never a big group, but over the years they caused much mischief to pesky noble houses that were bothering their families. Laars was the leader of this group and was infamous to a small group of poor families for being a rebellious ruffian...though somehow he would never get arrested, even though others of the Brawlers did.

The Third War, Scourge Invasions: Laars and his family were finally cornered...the scourge attacks had come and there was no escaping form it with everyone. Laars made a hasty, dishonorable decision that to his day he regrets with all of his mind. He had left his parents for dead as he escaped. He ran to a burning dock underseige and jumped on a still functional rowboat. He had gathered some friends he found fleeing along the way. He managed to rescue two of his friends: Anthony, and Laura as they set off in to the abyssal Great Sea...alone and scared.

The Great Sea, and the arrival at Stormwind: For months the three Serpent Brawlers sailed. They were stopping at islands along the way, desperate to find food and fresh water...having to flee from murlocs, pirates, naga, all the preditors of the sea. It was one night that Laars made another selfish decision. The friends all sat around a campfire on a small deserted island after a long day of gathering food and loading it to the ship. The friends were adults at his point, but they were weak and tired...Anthony was direly ill, and it didn't look good for his life...he didn't have long. Laura wanted to stay on the island and care for Anthony until he was better, Laars disagreed, they had to press on, they couldn't live on his island. Laura and Laars argued and argued...until Laars had agreed to stay on the island while Anthony rested.

Anthony and Laura had fallen asleep that night and Laars was still wide awake...looking at the ship. He stood and nodded his head. "Sorry guys...my father always told me you gotta do whatever it takes to live..." Laars walked toward the ship full of fresh food and supplies...and left his friends on the island...to never return.

Laars didn't look back at his decision, he sailed in solitude for days, and then he found the coast of Westfall...He decided to stop there and he took a look around Westfall, thinking it was just a large island. The People's Militia had found the young, confused and filthy man and brought him in. From there Laars rested up and got new clothing and money. The people's miltia gave him a map and he made his way to Stormwind, where he has lived ever since.

Modern Day: He thinks back to all of his past omens as if they are reoccuring nightmares...abandoning his family and friends, he sometimes feels lik a monster. But he doesn't show his guilt, he presses on, acting tough, and staying alive.

He had survived...but at what cost?...
