Personality

Kyri can be described as a shy, quiet girl. However, she will gladly talk about subjects she's knowledgeable about such as the theory behind magic, her people, engineering, and even cooking. Trusting by nature, there are few people the Draenei will have issues with, talking to. Even so, Orcs and Blood Elves will meet a colder side of the young woman due to her experiences with their people. Kyrindralah does not care about the war, except for hoping it will end soon.

History

Kyri was born to a hunter and his mage bondmate during the time of peace on Draenor. Though the Draenei often moved across the land, following her father and mother as they searched for newer and better hunting grounds, Kyrindralah grew up to be a fine young girl, often turning to the teachings of her father when she was alone. Respectful of her mother, however, the child also started to read up on the intricacies of magic, becoming familiar with the theories of it as well.

Eventually growing up in peace to be a woman of eighteen, Kyri and her family had moved to the outskirts of Shattrath. Often travelling with her father into the wilds to hunt, the two eventually stumbled upon a small village of their people just as the Orcs started slaughtering its people. Apalled by the treachery of the Orcs, Kyri and her father quickly retreated back into the forest to warn their people. Moving into the city with many others, the three Draenei were bereft of their source of income, falling on hard times in the slums like so many others.

The news Kyri and her family got grew more and more dire with every telling. The Orcs were an unstoppable force, hellbent on destroying the Draenei people, and nearing Shattrath with every passing day. It was merely a few years after the Orcs first betrayed the Draenei, give or take a few months, and Shattrath was ripe for the taking. Many families panicked, even as an evacuation was set in motion, and those who ran often fell into Orcish hands. Calling some families to stay to hide the escapees, the Draenei leaders were soon ready to lead their people into Zangarmarsh and, as Kyri moved to join those who would prove a distraction, her parents stopped her, bidding for her to join the exiles and survive. Through some quick convincing, the family soon set out to leave the city yet, as they were swept up in the crowd, Kyri lost sight of her parents.

As the group of exiles fell apart, wandering into the marsh, Kyri cried for her lost parents as she stuck to one group. Sad for her parents and perhaps ashamed for never having learned from her mother, the young woman decided she would become a mage. Though she kept her weapons in order to help her people, she found a mage among her group who had agreed to help teach her the ways of magic. Despite her knowledge of all the theories, the tricks of magic were lost on Kyri, her spells often failing or having unpredictable effects. Even so, Kyrindralah continued spending every free moment with her mentor, training when she could even as she used her crossbow and armour when her community needed them. Though her mentor didn't like allowing her young student out of her sight, she also realized everyone who was willing to help the community should get the chance to do so. Having lost so much, and having survived this long, Kyri's mentor decided that the girl, despite her age, was not simply a child to be sheltered. Not since the Orcs' betrayal.

Still not an accomplished mage after years of practice, Kyri was surprised as she returned from a patrol to find Velen in her home village. She was even more surprised when she heard him speak of a way off Draenor. It didn't take the Draenei too long to pack their things and, after gathering many of their people, Kyrindralah set out with the fighters to take the Exodar and flee this world as she knew her people had so many others. Charging, fighting, getting wounded and dragged into a corner of the ship, Kyrindralah didn't even notice when the Exodar flew off. Nor did she notice when the engines malfunctioned...

Eyes shooting open, Kyrindralah felt dizzy. Hurting all over, the Draenei eventually managed to muster up the strength to get to her hooves. No weapons, dressed in the tatters of clothes, the young woman limped through the vale before stumbling upon a piece of wreckage. Bringing up a faint smile, Kyri noticed some Draenei already hard at work, glad to see her people had survived, despite the odds. Noticing the wounded Draenei, the survivors of the crash took Kyrindralah in, bringing her to the infirmary and healing her wounds. Still weak, Kyrindralah did what she could to repay the people of this wing of the Exodar before setting out to find the main ship. Having lost her weapons and armour, and having found herself on a somewhat peaceful-looking world, Kyrindralah decided this would be the time where she could become an actual mage in more than simply name as she found a new mentor.

Rarely leaving the Exodar, only to stroll through the forest, it still took a long time for Kyrindralah to learn magic. Yet, as news came of a new threat in the form of a black dragon, Kyri's mentor believed, in lieu of the girl's history on Draenor, that she was be ready to train on her own. Though she didn't feel comfortable leaving yet, Kyrindralah set out to the outside nonetheless. Training her magic in the forest of Azuremyst, and living from an inn room in Azure Watch, the Draenei soon met a rather interesting Kaldorei by the name of Mar'ten Shelar. Falling in love for the first time, the young woman and the Elf set out to discover the world, travelling together.
