History
Kylor had an average upbringing in a working-class sector of Ironforge. His father raised him as a miner, and for the first hundred years of his life, he learned the arts of mining, smelting, forging and hunting. As soon as he was considered a man, he took an apprenticeship in a mining guild, following the footsteps of his father, Guthrin Hamfist, who himself was a miner. During the second century of his life, Kylor eventually started hunting more, and mining less. He learned the art of gunmanship, and went out on regular hunting trips with close friends and associates.
On one particular solo expedition into the wild snows of Khaz Modan, Kylor slipped off of a ledge, which broke his rifle--and his leg. He managed to drag himself to the town of Kahrazan, and suffered a bad case of frostbite. He made a full recovery. However, the gun he broke was not his, and the owner was to charge him for the repairs. Not wanting to part with his money, he repaired the gun with his skills as a blacksmith, using books to teach himself the mechanics of the particular model. This happened at age 174. Kylor got absorbed in the book, and even after finishing the repairs, read more. He read every scrap of information he could find on gun smithing, and engineering. He decided he was going to build his own gun, and he did.
The first, second and third guns he built did not fire properly, and were poorly made. Seeking to resolve this problem, Kylor found an apprenticeship under a Gnome in Tinker Town. He learned the proper techniques to build guns in his training. He also learned to make other useful gadgets while training. Unfortunately, his training was cut short, as his master died in an explosion due to renegade rocket boots.
Since his master's demise, Kylor began traveling between Stormwind and Ironforge to set up a business selling arms. On his first trip to Stormwind, he adopted a dog from an owner who was going to throw her out onto the street. Over the course of three months, Kylor trained this dog (which he named Shiralee) to assist in his hunting.
Recently, Kylor has joined Twilight Incorporated as an Arms dealer and weapons designer.
