Kug is what would appear to be a stereotypical ogre; He is a bit of a buffoon and at times relishes in combat. However when you get to know him he is an ogre that wants to see the world and taste the fine foods it has to offer. Even though Kug is slow-witted at times he can be surprisingly cunning during a battle, sometimes hewing entire trees down to cause more confusion to his enemies.

History

Born in an ogre mound in the area known as the Blasted Lands, Kug was brought forth a member of the Stonemaul Clan and apart of the Horde. Kug's childhood was spent training in the ways of his clan to become a weapon, like the other ogrelings. However when he was 12 his clan was ordered to help the frontlines during the Second War. Kug never fought, though, he just kept training until the War was lost and the Orc clans were being rounded up into camps.

The Stonemaul Clan was too clever, of course they would say that just because they managed to escape into the ruins of Alterac unnoticed. Kug however never really cared much about any of this and just kept training until he reached adulthood at 16 and became a Clan Warrior. Didn't too much, Kug, at least not outside the occasional Lordaeron Patrol that close to the mound or some knuckle-headed adventurer trying to make a name for themselves.

Several years later, the warlord Kor'gall came into power sometime after the Orcs began to free themselves from the internment camps. Kor'gall had a fierce reign and ordered to Stonemaul Clan to raid a human port in the Hillsbrad Foothills. Kug actually partook in battle and slayed about 6 humans and a pair of dwarves. Granted four of those were civilians, but a kill is a kill. Now when they boarded the ships, half of the clan decided to stay behind, Kug's mother stayed with them on the shore.

Hitting landfall in a marsh, the Clan set up a mound and set to work of founding their new Hold. It wasn't very long, however, until Rexxar came into the picture. Challenging Kor'gall, the Stonemaul Clan was in awe that someone would challenge him. Kug cheered for Rexxar while he slew Kor'gall. With this Kug was actually happy to go to war for the Horde, such a display of strength and endurance was so respectable by Kug Standards.

In the battle against Proudmoore's forces in Durotar, Kug slayed a decent 4 soldiers before the battle's end. After the battle Kug returned with the clan to the Hold but left soon after to explore. He walked back to Orgrimmar and decided he was going to stay there and help the orcs with their cause.

Skip a few years and we find Kug sitting in the barrens trying to find a mid-day's meal.
