Age: 26

Sex: Male

Hair: Black

Eyes: Dark, almost reddish-brown.

Weight: 187 lbs.

Appearance

Ktar exclusively wears shades of red, black, and gold; he has a small assortment of robes in these colors which are quickly accumulating rips, tears, and wrinkles, indicating an abnormal amount of abuse from the wearer. Underneath said vestments, Ktar dresses himself in a simple button-up tunic, pants, and shoes. His hands are covered by black gloves which have had the fingers slashed off, possibly by the cruelly-barbed dagger that always sits at his waist.

Other: Ktar is surprisingly well-muscled and tanned for a man who specializes in the arcane. That said, his body is also covered in a network of long, thin scars which stop at his collarbone. The scars have no system or reason to them, but are far too numerous to have come from battle.

Personality

Alignment: Neutral Evil

Ktar was born in New Stormwind back when it was still referred to as such. He is the bastard son of a prositute and the noble who frequented her, and was raised in secret by the former. Ktar began his life of crime at an early age, helping his mother by stealing and earning a mule's wages from delivering drugs. By the time he was eight, his mother began to blackmail the noble Riel, claiming that she needed the money to pay for Ktar's education. The nobleman gave in to the demands, hoping to keep his public reputation intact. Whether he actually had any concern for his illegitimate son's well-bring was never in question for any involved, Ktar included.

The lord's money went to more drugs. Ktar was beaten by rival drug-runners and imprisoned twice. During one such stint, he shared a cell with a dwarven criminal and mage who taught him to produce small flames through intense concentration and willpower. His natural arcane abilities amounted to little, however, as he never received any formal training during his childhood.

By the time Ktar was thirteen, Lord Riel had grown tired of paying the prostitute. She was assassinated uneventfully in an alleyway while Ktar was returning from his latest stay in the stocks. He was not overly upset when he came across the woman's body, but checked her for any money that the assassins may have left. All that remained was a note explaining to him the terms of his continued survival. Ktar failed to read the message, leaving it crumpled on his mother's corpse.

Ktar went to his mother's home and burned it to the ground. He was briefly imprisoned again for arson, and then went about strengthening his contacts within Stormwind's underbelly.

Ktar became more skilled at evading the guard and made more friends among the criminal scum of the human city. Within weeks of his eighteenth birthday, the Lord Riel died, supposedly from illness. Ktar saw an opportunity in his dead parent's fortune, going to work with his lowlife associates to forge documents and bully at least one genealogist into working for them. They approached the nobility of Stormwind with the intention of having Lord Riel's estate put into his 'long-lost' son's hands, and in the end, succeeded (despite protests from guards who were familiar with Ktar's face).

For the first time in his life, Ktar had everything he had ever wanted. Money, influence, and a home. Over the course of two years, he spent it all.

Ktar drove his father's name into ruin, literally destroyed the luxurious estate, and spent every copper within its vaults. The money went to sinfully decadent parties, alcohol, and all the most illegal things a person could buy in the Eastern Kingdoms. It was said that for a year, there was an epidemic of black-haired children being born to noblewomen with blonde husbands.

Perhaps the only sound investment Ktar made in those two years was to utilize his talent and train with magic. He hired several mages to tutor him- After running out of attractive young females due to his advances, he learned from a dour, bearded fellow who spoke little. He found that the difficulty was not a lack of ability on Ktar's part, but actually getting him to focus on the task at hand. Fire magic was just destructive enough for Ktar to actually pay attention long enough to retain something from training.

Regardless, Ktar ended up back on the streets with nothing but a pouch of rolled tobacco and a reputation that continues to stain the walls of the House of Nobles. He has a network of associates to rebuild, supplies to gather, and guards to avoid. But, as Ktar always says, "It isn't any fun if it doesn't break the skin..."
