Personality

Kinyar is a whole heartened dwarf. He will practically drink with anyone who can spare the silver for ale. Won't have anything to do with any members of the horde that have yet to prove themselves to him. He can almost always be found in one place: The Hall of Explorers in Ironforge. He is a dwarf who was born with a need for history; he wanted to find the story of his people.

Kinyar, although accepting of many will not tolerate those of certain races. As mentioned he wont deal with the horde unless they need him. The only ones he wont deal with are as follows: Dark Irons, Undead, Blood Elves, and Tauren (they don't like Kinyar, Kinyar doesn't like them.).

History

When Kinyar was born, it was during a time of prosperity for the dwarves of Ironforge and the surrounding villages. The only true peril of the great mountain nation was that of their evil cousins. The Dark Irons ransacked many small dwarven towns and villages close to the Searing Gorge. Kinyar, however, was born in the small lake town of Thelsamar. When he grew to the age of 15 local explorer's had uncovered ancient ruins on the other side of Loch Modan. Dark Irons had watched The Explorer's League's activities in the area for some time. When Kinyar was asked to go to the Valley of Kings to bring a guard some supplies, who was a family friend, Thelsamar, along with the ruins, were attacked by a band of Dark Irons. Kinyar's mother, father, and younger siblings perished in the explosion of his home.

Kinyar is still a member of the League and has worked Diligently with the League for the good of Ironforge. He has been working for the League as long as Kinyar can possibly remember. He has hopes that he'll be recognized as a national hero for discovering some lost and ancient city. His dreams may or may not become real.

Kinyar had married at the age of 37 to a dwarf by the name of Helga Brundanine. They lived happily in Lorderon for many years. Kinyar had gotten word from a few anonymous people that there was ruins in Lorderon. Naturally the dwarf checked it out. He brought his family along to stay with him as his searched for these ruins. Kinyar loved his home in Corin's Crossing. Only bad things happened from here… When Stratholme was destroyed by the Scourge, Kinyar got worried. He tried to convince his wife to move with their 3 daughters. Helga had thought that they were safe; the Army of Lorderon could handle the Scourge. She was wrong, as hundreds died everyday either fleeing from or fighting the Scourge.

Helga and their three daughters were killed in the overrun/evacuation of Corin's Crossing. Kinyar was devastated, and found that he was summoned to Ironforge, that a friend needed to talk to him.

It wasn't until the incident at Caer Darrow that Kinyar's soul could never truly recover from. His cousin, Ygril Hammerale had gone in with his Squad to try and kill what they could. They were never heard from again. Ygril's family took Kinyar in after what had happened at Thelsamar, Kinyar loved the Hammerales.
