To sum it up in one word, brooding. Outwardly, he is grumpy at best. Others generally come to think of him as cruel and uncaring, sentiments he would agree with. He would also agree on being iron willed, but not stubborn. They are indeed different things, no arguing about it. His determination is the base of his being, it is the driving force of all his actions. Whether those actions are wise or ill-advised, they will resolve. Often this makes him appear impulsive. However he will always reassure you that there is a method to the madness.

History

Kharngor was born before much of the violence of modern day Azeroth, as well as Draenor. Born into a small, nameless clan he was raised like most other orcs, educated in the art of war. Kharn's clan was unorthodox about its ways of warfare, emphasizing stealth over brute strength to overwhelm their foes. Growing up, Kharn was constantly belittled by his peers due to his small stature. He soon earned the title 'Runt.' He hated it, it didn't help that his younger brother, Kromlarg, soon grew to twice his size. To make up for, what he believed to be, his shortcoming he wanted to become greater than anyone else. Soon enough the other kids learned he wouldn't deal with name calling any longer.

Kharn underwent combat at a young age, he felt it was a rite of passage into adulthood. Granted it was not much of a battle so much as a murder of a people. He felt he was squandering his talent and skill. He grew restless and thirsted for more. The First War was on the horizon. And it was there, during the initial farm raiding of the First War where he met her. The orc(ess?) of his dreams, bathed in the blood and sweat of battle. After the war was over they had a daughter. Their beautiful union did not last long for the Second War was upon them. This ending was not so happy as they were separated and sent to different camps. His daughter and her mother stayed together while Kharn and his brother to another. His hatred for humans spawned from that day and would only grow from there on.

Years pass as Kharn allows himself to waste away. When the orcs from beyond the walls come to rescue the captives, Kharn sits idly and watches the slaughter indifferent to whether who lived or died. Once the opportunity came to leave, Kharn simply sat. Kromlarg lifted him over his shoulder and carried him to safety. To this day Kharn has never thanked him. Months pass with Kharn sitting next to his brother who constantly urged him to join the cause of the orcs, to fight again, to just live life. Kharn refuses time and time again. Kromlarg devises a plan to rejuvenate his brother, he simply attacks him. Even with Kromlarg nearly triple Kharn's size, he quickly is put down. Kharn furious at his brother begins shouting at him, whilte Kromlarg could only laugh. Kharn could only scowl at him, but he eventually comes to terms that he must live on.

A few years pass as Kharn, with his brother in tow, are on a wild goose chase for clues as to where his mate and daughter may be. They eventually learn of the city of Orgrimmar and travel there with high hopes.
